Wow wow wow! I watched Memento for the first time just last night and I’m still at a loss for words! I don’t even know how to properly review this movie because I’m still processing what I watched, and anything I do say about this would be spoilery for anyone who hasn’t seen this movie yet. I’ll do my best to describe the movie without spoiling anything major but I doubt anything I’ll say will do the film justice. Memento directed by Christopher Nolan is essentially a murder mystery film about a guy, Leonard, who suffers from short term memory loss, trying to track down and kill the man who murdered his wife. Since he has short term memory loss, he has to use creative ways to remember everything that he’s already done to try and solve the case. And in classic Nolan-fashion, this movie is told non-linearly. I really don’t know what more I can say, especially since I probably need to watch the movie again now knowing the movie’s ending. This is now in contention for my favorite Christopher Nolan film along with The Prestige and one of the Batman movies. Maybe I’ll get to ranking all his movies one day. Anyways, go watch this movie if you haven’t already. Está catalogada como una de las mejores películas del siglo XXI, nominaciones y premios en Oscars, Globos de Oro, Sundance.... Poco más a decir.
