This a late post. But this marks 1 year from when I decided to make a change! It has been an up and down challenge and definitely changed me physically and and mentally. I'm able to do things I haven't been able to do in a long time. Bending, squatting and just simply walking was almost impossible. There is still alot of struggles I need to face. — Progress. This is really difficult to share because the photo on the far left is one I’ve had hiding in my albums for awhile. In 2021, I was the heaviest I have ever been and my lifestyle was weighing me down. I didn’t eat healthy, I didn’t exercise and because my physical body was out of shape, so was my mental state. Many days, I would look in the mirror and not only was I not happy with what I saw, I didn’t know how to change it. It was really easy to say “I’ll work out and drop the weight” and it was an entirely different obstacle actually doing it and sticking to it. In a span of two years, I’ve dropped 30 pounds and I’m halfway to my goal weight 💪🏼 But the truth is … there are still days I’ll wake up, stand in front of the mirror and feel like I didn’t make any progress. I’ve been learning how to love my body and restructure my thinking. It’s taken a lot of work … and the first step was learning to embrace that journey & sharing it with others. My weight loss has been slow and at times, it’s pretty frustrating. But when I look at my photos from this year, there’s something completely different than the photos from two (even 1 year ago). I see that spark in me again. That drive & mental strength I’ve been building … that is what I’ve worked so hard for. #JourneyToSelfLove

2 stone 2 dress sizes 👗 This is my amazing client Gillian who came to me just to lose a little bit of weight. She wanted to feel more comfortable in her clothes and get her confidence back. She had tried lost of different diet plans over the years and although they worked they were short term. Gillian lost most of her weight within the first 3/4 months of the plan having started in November 2022. The weight loss came quick and she was at goal before she knew it. Can I be real with y'all for a second? If you've been following me for awhile, you'll know that I lost a significant (about 90lbs) amount of weight after my son was born. In the summer of 2019, I was the lightest I'd been in awhile and pretty content with my body comp. Then something changed (for lack of a better term) and I put back on about 10lbs. It could have been because my nutrition coach at the time wanted to give me some time off or go through a more "bulking" type thing, I don't know. But then 2020 hit and a lot of things kinda fell apart. I went up in weight, clothes (some which were my favorites) didn't fit, I was home more than before, etc. I decided I needed to get back down. Fast forward to now, and here I am up 25 to 30lbs from that summer of 2019.  Now, that doesn't mean this is all bad news. I am faster than I was before with running. I am stronger in certain lifts and certain obstacles are easier.  But other obstacles (specifically obstacles I've got to pull myself over) are harder.  I was able to do 10 pull-ups in a row. Now I am lucky to get 5.  I am not real happy with how I look/feel. And those damn clothes don't fit. I am frustrated. Frustrated that I can't do certain things that I could before. Frustrated that my dress that i'd wear once a week when I worked in an office and I'd totally wear again, doesn't fit. I am frustrated that I don't have the discipline I did before to say no to the candy and snack foods. I am frustrated that I don't make the right choices when I go out to eat. Frustrated that when everything is planned out, a wrench gets thrown into it.  I am just so DAMN FRUSTRATED!!!!! Why am I telling y'all this? Cause this has always been a safe space for me. I've told people things on this app that I didn't tell people IRL or before I told them. People found out things on here because they read the post and I didn't tell them in person. I just find it easier, less anxiety filled, more relatable, less "Oh but blah blah blah". Continued in comments

The reason why people say "they're waiting for the right time" is fear of failure , so by not starting until the "perfect time" you feel like it wont be so easy to fail . Yet all this is teaching you is to quit when things get tough Of course you're scared of starting now you've got lots of events happening & thats overwhelming. But if you're forever waiting for the "perfect time" you'll be waiting a lonnngggggg time . & what happens in that time? You gain more You lose even more control You feel worse You hate yourself evenmore & the cycle continues.
