Had the honors of meeting legendary Disney Imagineer, Bob Gurr, today at AnaCon! 🥺💖 We watched his presentation, in which we learned about his experience with designing many of the Disneyland attractions with wheels, which Disney character is his favorite, and we also got to know Walt a little better as well. We had a great time assisting hundreds of students & adults learn about physics & gravity while playing giant Jenga and more with the library’s STEAM TEAM. Their mobile STEAM van is awesome! The campus was packed with so many activities, educational & information booths, contests, entertainment, and delicious food too. The participating schools and clubs did a fabulous job. Indie Author Day is one of the flagship events of Anaheim Central Library. Normally, it was an event for local authors to display their novels at a book fair. For the first time, poetry was there in full force featured in our outdoor Poetry Tent event. I'd like to thank Moon Tide Press for bringing many of their excellent poets to our stage and to my own speculative poets that came out to support the event.
