39 weeks +1!!! I cannot believe this pregnancy is nearing the end and that I can have this little man any day now! Although I'm not feeling any signs of having him right now. They did say that he will probably be a big baby (my other two were 9lbs 6oz and 9lbs 7oz) and my doctor doesn't want me to go too far over the due date so we will be talking about those options next week! Still do not have a solid name for this little man and his room is slowly being finished but still waiting on a couple items to arrive... I have been wanting to clean, tidy, and sell everything extra in my house so the nesting urge is going strong! But like any of you Moms out there, I only want the best for them and I realize that I have a limited amount of time with them in the realm of their life to achieve a very big goal. But men and women are not equal. They just arenāt. The problem with the notion that being masculine is in some way toxic to society doesnāt make sense. We were created with inherent qualities to keep the survival of the species alive. By pushing for equality, we are actually creating a bigger problem for future generations. One is not better than the other, in fact the very existence of humanity depends on these differences. Itās the ying and yang. Women canāt get a King if sheās not a Queen. And visa versa. There is nothing toxic about the position that men take in society, how they show respect, or the way that they protect what is theirs. The truth is ā we are raising the boys who will lead nations and fight battles and take girls on dates. We need them to feel the full weight and responsibility of what it means to be a man. So, three cheers for boys and for the fact that masculinity isnāt toxic, it is about honor and virtue, both of which are cultivated and earned. And hereās to loving, kind, respectful, strong men. May we know, may we love them, may we raise them.

Have I mentioned how much I love food š¤£ Roasted Tomatoes, Garlic Confit and Burrata Ingredients: 12 oz grape/cherry tomatoes 8 oz Burrata (2 x 4 oz balls) 1/2 tsp salt Black pepper, to taste Balsamic Reduction Basil Chiffonade Garlic rubbed crostini, to serve Garlic confit: 2 garlic bulbs 1/2 cup olive oil 1/2 tsp salt Black pepper Pinch of red chili flakes 3 thyme sprigs 1 rosemary sprig Method: 1. Preheat oven at 350 F; 2. Wrap garlic in tinfoil along with olive oil, salt, and aromatics; roast for about an hour 3. Add tomatoes to a skillet and pour the garlic confit over as you reserve some of the oil for other cooking purposes and add a little balsamic to taste; season with salt and pepper and roast for about 15-20 mins 5. LOCATION | I often get asked where is best to hold sessions, and the answer depends on lots of factors. Ultimately though, it is about you and where you feel most content. Often the background is just that, it's you that truly makes the photos. Do I prefer at home or out and about? Tough call, because each has its own time and place. I'm feeling a little bit sore tonight. This morning, while attempting to qualify for the Paris Olympics in pinecone throwing for one's dog, I lost balance. I found myself spinning a little out of control, almost as if I was attempting to qualify in the hammer throw, (is that the one where they spin in a circle several times?) Despite several gallant attempts at recovery, somehow I made things worse. I finished my qualifying attempt with a triple axle and rolling on the ground down the park slope, landing unceremoniously on my bum. I think I rolled further than the original winning pinecone throw. I really hope that, other than Maude, no one witnessed my athletic performance, but this being Wellington, it's highly unlikely. I'm probably already a meme. š¤

Itās been a week for sure I am so very grateful for my happy healthy family. This is my 16th year of teaching and I am a still surprised by some things. Yesterday was very emotional so today we enjoyed some art and fun. We are currently planning our first big road trip. We will be traveling for 2 whole weeks in early June. Wood pellets are being delivered today! We really are going to heat the chateau and chalet. This is after years of research. The hopper and storage holds 7 tons of pellets and operates through vacuum suction. I think they will be turning it on soon. The chalet will no longer be heated by electric rads (massive cost save). I do not think the chateau has been heated for 10-15 yearsā¦. Itās taken ages to get to this point.
