І сёння я асабліва шчаслівая - мне перадалі торцік🎂 ад мамы😍. Застанецца толькі загадаць жаданне і задзьмуць свечкі. Адчуць крыху чараўніцтва, напоўніцца цеплынёй і спакоем, занырнуць у мора... бррр, яшчэ халоднае, - хай гэта будзе мора радасці🪄. Завяршаючы кола, прыпыняюся, каб азірнуцца на тое, якім быў гэты год, якой я была ў ім, што для мяне стала сэнсам, каштоўнасцю, а што - найбольшым адкрыццём. Marktdag. Zijn favoriete dag van de week. Sinds 2015 gaan wij elke woensdag naar de markt in Berlaar. Soms met kind(eren) op woensdag, soms enkel Maarten of ik. Regen, wind of sneeuw houdt ons niet tegen. Als de meisjes vakantie hebben, gaan we nog eens met z’n allen over de markt. Heerlijk gezellige vibe zo tussen die kraampjes lopen. De kraamhouders kennen ons ondertussen bij naam en sommigen houden onze bestelling al opzij tot we er zijn. We starten bij het broodkraam, wandelen dan verder naar het kippenkraam en eindigen aan het fruit-en groentenkraam. Dat vingertje van Malte wijst de weg naar zijn volgende degustatie. Zijn beurt geduldig afwachten vergt nog wat oefening. Vanaf september gaat Malte op woensdag naar de crèche, dus we genieten nu extra van die tijd samen - hij vooral van zijn kippenballeke ze 😉😋 #marktdag #mightymalte #thingsiwanttoremember #brother #babybrother #familyof5

Lovely time away for the first time as a family of four 🥰 Unfortunately Robyn’s been poorly with a viral infection I think, however it did give us the perfect excuse to not do anything at all and have a really chilled out couple of days which was very much needed for us all 🙌🏼 especially as Robyn’s been super restless at night because of her coughing! Fingers crossed for a better nights sleep tonight 🤞🏼😴 We’ve had lots of nice food, drinks and Disney films! Wat zonnige eet-inspiratie (moet kunnen op een dag als vandaag 😅🌧️) met het lekkerste, zelfgebakken brood van @niamhbaking ! 🥖 . We bakten op een heerlijke zonnige dag met de kindjes een brood met de Niamh broodmix (rustic dark). Ga gerust kijken naar mijn vorige reel voor receptinfo (Matteo voegde alvast dadels en extra noten toe aan de mix). Die geur alleen al telkens als dat broodje uit de oven komt - want, ondertussen zijn we al lang niet meer aan ons proefstuk toe! Als broodbeleg maakte ik een favorietje om wat extra zonnige herinneringen op ons bordje te krijgen. Zoals jullie allicht wel weten woonden we zo'n tien jaar in het zuiden van Frankrijk... de vijgen- en amandelbomen in onze straat en op de campus zijn sowieso wat ik het allermeeste mis (oh die geur!!). én extra leuk, ook de kindjes zijn dikke fans van gedroogde én verse vijgen). ❤️ . Op ons heerlijk broodje smeerden wij: 🥪 verse geitenkaas (neem er eentje die goed afsmaakt!) 🍋 zelfgemaakte vijgencompote (de kindjes plukten de vijgen vorig jaar in Italië) 🌱 verse tijm en oregano 🌳 verse vijgen In combinatie met de noten en het gedroogde fruit in het brood was dit alvast een toppertje om nogmaals te proberen! . samenwerking met @niamhbaking ❤️

• T H U R S D A Y • Amazing morning yesterday at Frameless in Marble Arch. Heidi and I had great fun exploring the four immersive rooms; I love experiencing things like this through her eyes and seeing the absolute joy and wonder on her face. It's quite pricey (£30 for adults & £20 for children on the door) and I'm not sure it's really worth that but they do a special online Adult & Preschooler ticket on weekday mornings during term time for £20 which I feel is a bargain in comparison! We were there for just under two hours but you could probably stretch it out a bit longer if you don't have a hungry four year old with you who's desperate for lunch. When I first started to travel, photos were rather precious. With a camera and actual film (24 pictures) every picture was an unknown until developed, often months later. There were no do overs to get it right and maybe subject matter for photos, though far less thought was given to aesthetics, was more carefully chosen. I would backpack for months, travel through incredible places, see beautiful sights but often not take pictures. Three rolls could last me six months. My focus was also different. I remember after coming home at 18 from my first overseas trip to Iceland and showing my parents my photos of all the different people I’d met, and my dad saying but where are the pictures of Iceland? What does it look like there? I replied oh it didn’t occur to me to take pictures! I kept taking pictures of people and when Facebook came around, sharing albums with excessive amounts of pictures of the people in my life. Then I shifted my focus and began taking more shots of nature and other things. But recently I’ve felt again I need to record this. This normal moment. My husband helping my son with his bike. The guests and family that gather around our table. Especially these things. It all feels so fleeting. I made a goal although I’ve already forgotten to do it several times, that any time people came over, I would take a picture of the people around my table. Not to post necessarily but to keep. A friend came over unexpectedly last night and I forgot to take a picture. Friends came a couple weeks ago, I forgot to take a picture. But we never know how much time we have and people change so quickly. I really want to remember to take these pictures no matter what the house or table looks like, no matter what we look like, no matter that the aesthetics are not perfect. I just want to look back and think: hey, remember? You were here. We drank mango tea and laughed a lot? You’d never looked more beautiful. I’m so so thankful for you. LAST SUNDAY RECAP 📸 I need every Sunday to be like last Sunday! As a family of 4 with two dogs we get really busy and our days feel like it was a blur. But every now and then it’s good to SLOW DOWN! Smell the flowers, enjoy the breeze, and live intentionally with your family. We woke up and made breakfast on our black stone grill, took our oldest to horse back riding, went for a beautiful hike on a trail near us, and ended our day with ice cream at the park where we met friends. The girls played in the water, collected rocks and sticks, and saw every bit of what nature had to offer. 🦋 Loving the slow moments we can have as a family. Bills will always need to be paid, jobs will always need to be worked, and there’s always laundry to be folded and washed!
