📚 Book Lane 📚 I participated recently in a little competition in a private photoshop group and the theme was « peculiar house ». Basically, the aim was to create a house out of an ordinary object. I had a chat with my husband to try to find ideas and we came up with this book street idea. Instead of making only one house, I decided to create a whole street 😅 I enjoy reading and these are all books/movies I’ve seen or read and really loved. I’ve tried to add lots of details this time round. Normally, I’m a bit more minimalist but I wanted to challenge myself…and this definitely made me sweat (especially as I made it in under a week, which is mad for me!) 🥵😅 My husband has been photoshopped twice and Im 3x in the pic too! 😜 Now…it’s definitely not perfect!! Which is a shame because I do like that genre. My husband is not on Instagram but totally supports my passion for photography and making reels. His feedback is always positive with a general comment like “that is nice” or “that is interesting”. My daughters do have accounts on Instagram. They only occasionally visit my gallery and very rarely engage with a like or a comment. But they are very supportive with giving feedback when I show my work before posting it with their honest opinions…. which I very much listen to and appreciate. Morning came so suddenly. The sun fought its way up behind grey clouds and painted the surface of the loch with rippling reflections. Mountains were standing still, like they have done for ages. In my mind I’m wondering what they have seen through all the centuries and past times. Who walked here before me and what happened to them? Oh how I wish these mountains and waters could talk and whisper all those secrets to my ear while grass is swishing in the wind like it has always done. I feel a raindrop on my face and I see how rain is making its way towards me above the mountains. It’s falling down like the most delicate veil of lace and when it finally reaches me, I let it soak my dress and hair. Wind starts to blow harder. As soon as the rain arrived, it was gone too and the sun peaks between floating clouds. Air is fresh and morning still young. I start walking and disappear into the moors where dry heather is waiting for its time to bloom. And when the day takes over, I watch how golden light is dancing between mountains and birds are flying high.

It's really difficult to find out your own season because often we have a different look on ourselves than others do. For example I was convinced at first that I was a 'Light Spring' 🌷 - and even most of you guys voted in my stories that you see me more warm than cool. But then my friend pointed out that I have too much red/pink in my face for a warm season and in fact the cool colour palette of summer balanced this red tones very well. Since 'Light Spring' and 'Light Summer' are right next to each other in the colour wheel, it's easy to mistake one for the other. Here are some 'Light Summer' celebrety examples: Cate Blanchett (Galadriel 🧝🏼♀️), Natalie Dormer (Margery in Game of Thrones - but she looks quite different outside of the series, she has blonde instead of red hair) and Clémence Poésy (Fleur from Harry Potter 🩵). In 1896, when Tennessee was celebrating one hundred years of statehood, there was an exhibition at Centennial Park, and each of the large cities had a display. Memphis had a pyramid, and Nashville had a replica of the Parthenon, because it's nickname was "Athens of the South", because of the many universities there. I think I finally made a top that fits me well and it feels like a big accomplishment! It took me three tries at making the same tank top pattern.
