The Expander is the one with the big ideas - the visionary. They tend to live in the future, with visions of what is possible running through their mind and lots of ideas. They are often the entrepreneur/CEO of the company. The Container is the person who plugs into the vision and brings the "how" to the table. They live in the now and bring a strong understanding of what it will require to bring the ideas/vision that the Expander has to life. ← This is exactly what I do as an OBM Here's an example of how an Expander/Container relationship can work: The entrepreneur (Expander) wakes up one day with a brilliant idea for a new program. They hop on a call with their OBM (Container) and say "Guess what? I just had this awesome idea... I want to do X and I’m thinking we launch it next month, this is going to rock the world!" Their OBM replies, "That’s great, I love that idea and I’m also aware of how much we have going on right now. We are already working on launching Y for next month, so how does this fit into our current plan? Do we need to reprioritize anything?" [Sidenote: Can you see how the Container is bringing a reality check in here, while at the same time still really honoring how excited the biz owner is – a good Container doesn’t deflate the Expander’s passion.] The entrepreneur says "Yes, you are right... I forgot we already had Y planned for next month. So when can we fit this next program in?" To which the Container replies, "Well I know it would take 2-3 months for us to really prepare and launch this correctly. How about I take a look at our overall plan and see where this fits in best and I can get back to you when we chat again on Monday." Isn’t that cool? When this relationship is in place there is a great balance between passion & reality – both of which are essential in business. The bottom line is - we need each other for all this to work. And when we honor the value of what we each bring to the table - and work together - that's where the magic happens. I was once called a Jesus B*tch. Ironically, I was called this during a time in my life when I wasn’t healthy nor was I intentional when making decisions. I was unaware + living for myself. And a woman, whom I considered a friend then, called me it behind my back. Though it hurt in the moment… This is why it now gives me hope. 👇 Despite not being my healthiest at the time, God was still able to use my broken self to leave a positive impression on others around me. Let this serve as a reminder that Jacob lied. Jonah fled. Moses murdered. David had an affair. Saul killed Christians. Peter disowned Jesus. Elijah battled depression. Job regretted being born. But God set each one free. He made their mess into a message. And He can do the same for your life. Never underestimate what God is doing behind the scenes. — even when you feel hopeless + unhealthy. The data around what this rising generation of children is enduring in their mental health is jaw-dropping. But is it surprising? I love this quote! 😍 I heard someone say “Fear does not mean stop!”. That really struck me. How many times do we encounter something that is difficult or uncomfortable, leaving us feeling defeated and ready to quit? Why do we give up so easily instead of looking for a way to continue on? It’s often a multi-faceted answer, but one of the reasons is that we are more focused on the problem than on the solution. Think about it…when we are consumed by the obstacle, we are left feeling anxious, fearful, uncertain, insecure, etc. We lack the confidence to proceed. But if we are solution focused, the problem fades to the background and we are able to feel empowered by options to pursue. This is something I help my clients navigate in my practice. Just the fact we are on this planet means that we have a mighty purpose, ordained by God. He already knows the challenges we will face, and yet here we are! Disqualification of self is when we don’t feel qualified to do something. It’s the internalizing of our circumstances and life experiences to assess our qualifications. But what disqualification is really showing us is our limiting beliefs and the pain we’re carrying. But limiting beliefs are lies – they are counterfeit stop signs. So, we must get to the root of our pain by exposing and arresting the lies that are limiting us. Because we cannot allow limiting beliefs about ourselves to blind us or disqualify us from who we really are. We must take ownership of our story! When we do that, we can see the gift in where we are today, and that will put disqualification on silence. Marc 2:17 - “Ce que Jésus ayant entendu, il leur dit: Ce ne sont pas ceux qui se portent bien qui ont besoin de médecin, mais les malades. Je ne suis pas venu appeler des justes, mais des pécheurs.” 2.Jésus a offert Sa vie. Jean 3:14 - “Et comme Moïse éleva le serpent dans le désert, il faut de même que le Fils de l’homme soit élevé.” 3.Jésus a ensuite demandé de le suivre. Matthieu 16:24 - “Alors Jésus dit à ses disciples: Si quelqu’un veut venir après moi, qu’il renonce à lui-même, qu’il se charge de sa croix, et qu’il me suive.” Comment traduire cela pour la vente sur Insta : 1.Quand tu as un nouveau follower, accueille-le sans pour autant parler de vente. De plus, j’ai vraiment aimé comment tu as parlé du sujet XYZ, c’était très enrichissant. Enfin, c’est toujours bien de faire connaissance :) D’ailleurs, je suis toujours curieux de savoir, qu’est-ce qui t’a poussé à me suivre ? » *Ils te donnent une réponse et tu peux poursuivre ainsi. 2.Offre-lui quelque chose d’utile : « D’ailleurs, j’aime remercier mes abonnés en leur offrant une de mes ressources. » Propose-lui un cadeau, un présent pour valoriser son engagement envers ton contenu. Forgiveness may be one of the harder things for us to do because we naturally want to feel justice was served. The unfortunate part is that in majority of cases this will never happen…so now what? Hold that hurt close to your chest and stew in it for the rest of your life? We are aware hurt, abandonment, rejection or even worse from our earthly fathers cuts deeply. However, do you want to remain emotional bound your entire life or use the authority that God has given us as believers to cast down these strongholds. When saying that forgiveness is not a feeling… let me explain. You won’t FEEL like waking up and forgiving, you won’t FEEL like you immediately (or ever) want to skip off into the sunset with your father. However, after you do the work involved you will FEEL free, and that is more than worth it after a life of holding yourself hostage. Steps: 1. Pray for the strength and conviction to forgive. God is so kind that he will provide this for you. 2. Say I forgive “name of person” often and be intentional about repeating this 3. Ask the Holy Spirit what is needed for your situation. Does he want you to go to that person? Does he want you to write a letter to that person without sending it? Eat the apple. 🍎 While the Lord instructed Adam and Eve to not eat from a specific tree… he also blessed them instructing them to enjoy fruits from the other trees. There are SO many incredible health benefits from eating apples and fruit in general. If you want to move out of a diet mentality, you must begin to see food as a blessing from God. Whole Food is God’s food. Made by the miracle of the Creator of all things. I trust the Lord, and I trust the food He provided in its natural state. Whole Foods provides our bodies so many nutrients on a cellular level. Food is beyond “macro nutrients”. Food is beyond managing your weight. Food is the Miracle of Life. My clients are introduced to an awareness that connects them spiritually to the journey. Intuitive eating is a spiritual practice and you must go deeper in order to develop the practice. I can’t play softball anymore because of my body, even though every post from 6-8 years ago in April-June is about my softball team. But I get to spend every day as Mrs Mechtel and Lydia’s mom, where my emotional brokenness 10+ years ago could have prevented both from being my reality. We all mourn some loss but we can all rejoice in great gain and blessings. I pray that you are able to see both the loss and the blessing for the miracle they are in your life, because God use them to make you, YOU. Hugs!
Consistency Creates Credibilty. 🤯⬇️ Somehow my grandmother made her way onto Facebook and stumbled across my weekly 15 Minutes of Faith Bible study. 🤔 After watching she said “Anj, the messages you share are so thoughtful. How do you come up with that stuff?” And I told her the same thing I tell everybody else. I study and God gives me the revelations. It just takes consistent time with the Lord. ⚡️In that moment something struck me. I don't have a degree in theology. I'm not an ordained minister. I've never been formally trained to preach the gospel or share God's word. 🙌🏾 It is simply my dedication to consistently seeking Him and spending time with Him that made me a credible authority in this space. And if you have been seeking a sign that you are knowledgable, credible, and worthy of listening to in your space, even without all of the degrees and certifications, just look at how consistently you've been showing up to do your work. 🚀 Have you been putting in the time and energy to learn new concepts and skills? 🚀 Have you been working with clients and helping them get breakthroughs? 🚀 Have you been watching as the processes and frameworks that you teach change the lives of the people in your life? Today’s Daily Impact: Serve Like Christ “Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited. Instead he emptied himself by assuming the form of a servant, taking on the likeness of humanity.” – Philippians 2:5-7 Growing up as a coach’s kid raised the question, “Is she playing simply because her dad is the coach?” That question, lodged in my mind, led to many of my decisions on and off the field. I never wanted anyone to think I was piggybacking off my privileged position. My father, holding the same mindset, tended to be harder on me than on other players. As a family, we decided it was more important for me to learn how to serve the team than expect it to serve us. This meant late nights cleaning up the field, giving rides to countless teammates, and going without so that others could have opportunities. As a teenager, it was hard to humble myself and serve others when, often, there wasn’t much service back. As an adult, I now see the benefit of learning to be a servant and being OK when treated like one. The humility of Jesus is one of the most shocking character traits He possesses. Knowing He is God and allowing Himself to be treated like dirt baffles our brains. Most people thought that when the Messiah returned, He would come as a king with riches, power and wealth. No one expected to find the Savior of the world born in a stable, a simple man with 12 followers traveling humbly from town to town, sharing the Good News. If we are called to live a life modeled after Christ, humility and servanthood are critical traits we must learn.
