The TV presenter has been standing in as co-host on the BBC game show and told a sweet story about the first time she visited our campus - and gave a special mention to Vice-Chancellor Shirley Congdon. She said: “I turned up to the University of Bradford wearing a jumpsuit made out of an old bed sheet that my friend made and some old trainers. I thought, ‘What am I wearing? I’m the Chancellor of this educational establishment!' "And the wonderful Vice-Chancellor - shout out to Shirley Congdon, who is incredible - said, ‘This is why we’ve got you, Anita. I’m not one for putting images up of me on the socials or feel the need to continually reintroduce myself … I prefer images of my students work or indeed pieces I have made/woven myself. Much more interesting I feel. However. Today I make an exception. Last September I took a trip to London with @yohjibatt … we were sworn to secrecy, but now we can reveal we went to London to film an episode of “Pointless” … a teatime game show which is on the @bbc 5 times a week. Our episode is to air on Friday the 3rd of May at 17.15. Overseas followers - I’m not to sure how you will be able to view this. YouTube? It was really good fun + I’m dreading seeing how I come across on the telly. You’ll need to watch the episode to see how we got on … did we win ? … 😂 I do manage to mention weaving, @alisonmoyetofficial + @coburghouse in my chat. As I said it was good fun, but equally terrifying as I was concentrating on not sounding overly Scottish, swearing + giving good answers to the questions posed. Happy viewing!

In the context of my life this is #bizzare and rather provocative. It also makes absolutely no sense, as I have been preoccupied all morning with planning different things, looking after the dog, resting (I'm winding down very well thank you without Google Assistant intrusion), watching Trial By Media on Netflix & gardening. Not sure what my mobile phone is doing but it is certainly attention seeking. Why on earth would I want Goggle Assistant help, in particular with such pointless matters as taking a selfie?(!) Plus, judging how useless ai/machine learning has been in matching anything really so far since we moved to the UK in 2005, I sincerely doubt the Goggle Assistant would be able to find anything that I actually find funny. Judging too from what ever is "driven" to me on social media, the outcome again with regards to matching with my interests, with some relevant exceptions (e.g. information about Julian Assange's case, which I am interested in) could also do with serious improvement. I can truly say that I am not impressed with anything of how data intrusive interventions on my IoT is and has been applied to my technology since forever at least since the year 2000). Thoughts of my Great Uncle Charlie and all lives human & animal needlessly lost to war, violence, religion , politics, hate and greed. THIS IS STILL HAPPENING NOW ! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Dear family, Sitting here in the quiet of Rouen Cathedral having just visited Uncle Charlie’s grave in St Sever cemetery. Even though we’ve visited before, I felt extremely emotional . 100 yrs today since he died and on reflection after yesterday, I think those poor soldiers who were killed instantly were the lucky ones. Those with horrific injuries having to endure such pain must have felt like they were in hell. I’m glad Charlie only survived a day as with his dreadful spinal injuries it would have been as the dr wrote on the Death certificate ‘Regret to say his case was hopeless from the first and had he lived would have been paralysed and a hopeless invalid’ What terrible news for our great grandparents to receive. Of course thousands with dreadful injuries did survive and life for many must have been a life of suffering. Anyway I made up a small wreath of poppies and dried gum leaves I’d brought from home and put it on his grave. Dropped a few extra gum leaves on a few other Aussie graves also. It’s not a cemetery that gets visited like many others and yet it holds the graves of 8348 commonwealth war graves Including 782 Australians. The hospitals were set up in Rouen which accounts for the large number. I was walking along a #blueflag beach, when I came across this little plastic star, with an entry point for a pencil top/beach toy etc… (who knows #pointless). I rescued the toxic little star, to ensure it didn’t go any further into the sea. The whole beach seemed immaculate, and combed every day, but this little defiant star had pushed through, washed up, bobbing around like so many little toxic plastic junk pieces in our seas… I’ll keep it, treasure it, #souvenir of #Cyprus and think of things to do with it.
