Riding before I can walk = 👍🏽👍🏽 Achieving 95° ROM gave me the all clear to ride again 🚲 Physio guidelines: Start with the seat high af & heels on pedals (creates less bend in knee) and pedal backwards for a while. Then forwards if you feel like you can. (Spoiler: she felt like she could😉) Result: 20mins of gentle riding which hurt my ass, but not my knee 🦵🏼(slay) 5 weeks post-op today (let’s fkn go), which means only 1 week of only touch weight bearing to go!! Update: I am 5 weeks post surgery. My leg still doesn’t look like a leg 😅 my muscles are completely atrophied and the swelling is still pretty prevalent. I can’t bend my knee to 90 degrees, but almost there. I can’t do a straight leg lift without assistance. Doing simple exercises I have to use muscle mind connection and doesn’t come second nature like it does with the other leg. The brace has to remain on all day and while I sleep (besides taking this picture lol). And still no driving. However, some positives I barely need my crutches (only use if my leg is experiencing some pain) so I am allowed to walk without them while keeping the brace in a straight locked position, I can get in and out of the shower by myself. I can get in and out of the car by myself. I can do simple seated and floor workouts. I attempted stairs for the first time the other day and did pretty well. These might not seem like a lot of progress but where I can do almost all daily living tasks independently when a few weeks ago I couldn’t at all I could barely get out of bed I would say I am pretty happy about it. I am not recovering as quickly as I should be, but I am trying to keep my head up and continue to work hard it’s just hard when your mind is trying to do something but your body is fighting back, but some progress is still progress! #aclrecovery #5weekspostop #progress #workinprogress #stayingpositive

The hormone fluctuation , the recovery period and then all the ups and downs that come with being a new mommy . Our bodies were designed for this magnificent task but our minds and mental capacity require just as much attention as the physical body . I do believe my years of training , eating a clean diet (most of the time) and breastfeeding has been a big part to my body’s ability to rebound in a positive way very quickly . Hello Fam & friends. I'm Finally feeling well enough to share my experience. Being totally vulnerable and transparent. (Piks not for the weak). My weight loss journey wasn't an easy one but worth it all. I lost 70+ lbs in 4 months and finally went for skin removal and lipo to make myself feel better. I will NOT lie.... it was/ is painful AF and I'm still recovering. Will be for the Next several months. But it was def worth it all!
