This is the area I'm looking to start converting into my garden allotment. It's the section of the garden that gets the most sun. Mr will have to help me lift the rest of the slabs, which we will be moving near his shed. Compost and manure are on their way. The first #rose of the season from my oldest rose... so old that I can’t remember when it arrived, which must have been before my old little balcony, i.e. more than 20 years ago. It was dying and I treated it with cinnamon powder and vermicompost. It now occupies a prime spot on the #windowsill overlooking the Seine. Konrad and Kasia’s allotment garden is located in a beautiful district of Warsaw called Żoliborz, where Konrad is also a councilor. He has always been a local activist, and his career started on the gardens’ administrative board, where he engaged the local community by organizing annual meetings with live music. Konrad’s gardening activities include putting a „mason” beehive up on a tree each year and planting some honey plants. De bomen, heesters, vaste planten, kuipplanten, terras planten, bodembedekkers, bloeiend en groen blijvende planten zijn bestelt. Het is nog even wachten op een nieuwe achtergevel! The sidewalk is full, but it won’t be long before everything can go to the garden! We are working hard to quickly open the door to our garden. The trees, shrubs, perennials, container plants, patio plants, ground cover, flowering and evergreen plants have been ordered. Årets never ending-kyla verkar vara på allas läppar just nu. Då kan det vara förtröstansfullt med en bild på grönskande tillväxt, eller hur? Förra året skaffade jag för första gången krukhallon. En premiär. Men inte förrän precis när det var dags att stänga terrassen sent i höstas började hallonen att mogna. Det blev inte många men goda… 😋 Då var det dock redan så kallt så valde att packa in plantan orörd i förhoppning om överlevnad och återstart 2024. Den vänstra bilden visar hur plantan såg ut vid avtäckningen i mitten av mars och den högra hur den ser ut idag. Jag klippte plantan rejält efter avtäckningen och de gröna skott som nu ses är helt nya för året. Än så länge står den nu inne, därav också bra tillväxt på grund av inomhusvärmen, men räknar med att den snart kommer att kunna börja acklimatiseras ute. Därmed sagt, so far so good, och går allt väl så förhoppningsvis hallon till midsommargodis 🍓🍓🍓 . . #hallon #krukhallon #terrassodling #balkongodling #citygardening
