The film had a lot of potential, but it was ultimately ruined by this ridiculous plot twist. [Film 🎬] Hello #Instamovies ⏳. Et si on changeait le cours du temps aujourd’hui ? C’est en tout cas le thème de Projet Almanac, le film dont je vais vous parler. C’est Jonny Weston qui joue le rôle principal de ce film de S-F sorti en 2015. . ✨David Raskin est un brillant lycéen qui rêve de décrocher une bourse de physique pour pouvoir intégrer le MIT. Considérés comme intellos, David et son groupe d’amis sont en marge des autres, préférant créer de nouvelles technologies que de faire la fête. Lorsqu’un jour, David découvre dans l’atelier de son défunt père le prototype d’une machine à voyager dans le temps, c’est l’occasion pour lui de changer sa vie en s’offrant une seconde chance. Mais changer le cours du temps n’est pas sans conséquences… . ✨La grande particularité de ce film, c’est qu’il est uniquement tourné en found footage, comme si nous étions directement dans le caméscope des personnages, comme c’est le cas dans les films d’horreurs Rec ou le projet Blair witch par exemple, ce qui donne un côté très immersif. Le film est sans prétention, il n’y a pas d’effets grandioses en mode blockbuster, le scénario n’est pas révolutionnaire, on est simplement sur une bande de jeunes qui s’aventurent dans le passé pour améliorer leur présent. Amitié, amour et bouleversements temporels sont au rendez vous. . ✨Comme je vous le disais, ce film est loin de révolutionner le genre, il y a sans doute des failles scénaristiques, mais j’ai passé un bon moment sans prise de tête devant tout de même. Un film ou on a pas besoin de se creuser les méninges pour tout bien suivre, ça ne fait pas de mal non plus. . The Tutor es una película de suspenso del 2023. Ethan es un joven que se dedica a dar tutorías a estudiantes en diferentes áreas y así colaborar a su esposa quien está embarazada, sin embargo, a su vida llegará Jackson quien será el estudiante que más lo desafié hasta el momento. Esta película es lo que ocurre cuando alguien quiere ser muy original y pretencioso, y más bien resulta incongruente, ambigua y rara, y no en el buen sentido. Tiene muy buenos actores, pero se ven terriblemente empleados, no dudo del enorme talento que posee Noah Schnapp, pero aquí la dirección no le favorece para nada, ni se logra lucir, más bien todo lo contrario. Es un argumento que tenía potencial, pero está demasiado mal desarrollado, se enreda más de lo que debería y toma decisiones muy abruptas y tontas la verdad, en lo personal sentí que no se sostenía ni sola. Además, la sentí eterna y no considero que para el espectador sea muy enganchante, precisamente por el tipo de dinámica que propone. También a veces da algo de cringe y risa cuando no debería. Chasing Mavericks - Curtis Hanson & Michael Apted - 2012 6/10 La quête d'un jeune homme désirant surfer sur Mavericks, la vague la plus dangereuse du nord de la Californie, et qui a pour entraîneur une légende de la localité. Ce qui a débuté par un mentorat se transforme en une complicité unique qui changera la vie des deux hommes. Chasing Mavericks a été co-réalisé par Curtis Hanson, l'homme derrière LA Confidential et 8 Mile. Sans être un chef-d'œuvre, ce film (véritable flop lors de sa sortie) se laisse regarder car il a tous les ingrédients pour. Gerard Butler et Jonny Weston ont la tête de l'emploi, le premier en tant que mentor bourru et protecteur, l'autre en jeune rêveur et maladroit. Quelques moments sont jouissifs, surtout les séquences de surf, qui est selon moi le sport le plus beau à la caméra. Les séquences de complicité entre l'élève et son maître son également sympathiques à voir. En tant que jeune, tout le monde peut s'identifier au timide Jay Moriarty. Le film souffre néanmoins de quelques écueils, à savoir son scénario défaillant et son manque d'énergie. Quand une scène vous emoporte, la prochaine manque presque systématiquement de rythme. Ce qui fait que l'on ne retient pas grand-chose de ce film, si ce n'est la belle relation des protagonistes et quelques conseils sur la discipline prodigués par le surfeur vétéran. Chasing Mavericks est donc un gentil film à voir si vous êtes fan de surf ou si vous n'avez pas peur de vous endormir devant par un dimanche pluvieux. Critique by @nadam_padron

The Divergent Series: Insurgent (2015) Novel by Veronica Roth Genre : Fantasy Rating : 7/10 (Novel) 8/10 (Movie) The second part of the franchise follows Tris battling the faction system led by Erudite. Well, honestly, I didn’t really like the novel as much as I liked the film and that is a complete first for me because novels always trump movies. So it was a bit of a shock to me that the movie turned out to be better than the novel. The storyline progressed a little slower than I would’ve liked and I guess that’s the reason why I didn’t like it as much, slow-paced books tend to make you lose your rhythm and that ticks me off. On the other hand, the movie progressed at a very good pace and the characterization in this movie was amazing, even better than in the books. So, for this particular series, the movie wins over the novel. Skyline (2010) I thought this was great film on first watch, but watching it back now I thought I was thinking of a different movie (maybe Battle LA). Not all that much character development happens in this low budget-ish movie but that’s ok, you can still turn off your brain and enjoy the invasion action scenes. 🧠🧠🧠 Beyond Skyline (2017) The tried and tired distant father troubled kid relationship where the dad is almost always an ex cop and definitely portrayed as a drunk. I couldn’t get into it. Felt like a late late night movie with cheap effects. It even had an old Godzilla style monster battle at the end. 🧠 Skylines (2020) I felt obligated to finish off the trilogy. The production side of this was very impressive with how much space battles they pulled off with the relatively low budget. But it felt like expansion into space completely changing the claustrophobic vibe from the first movie, and also lost its charm. 🧠

Plot: A group of teens discover secret plans of a time machine, and construct one. However, things start to get out of control. Review: This movie is good, the acting is pretty good, the characters are likable, and the movie does tell a very fun, and interesting story. This movie does have several problems, the movie has time machine mistakes that just doesn't make sense with how the movie is told. The movie also just seems to fall flat in the third act, because it just switches from this really fun aspect of a movie, for this very serious movie. Also everyone in the movie does a good job, but I don't really feel the chemistry between these friends for them to have been friends sense they were 6 years old. I will give this movie a B-.
