Meet Maddi! She's our Everyday Athlete shout-out for April! Maddi is an Expert in her consistency and we love seeing her in each day putting in the work and getting the results. She always has a smile on her face and makes everyone around her feel amazing. 🙌 We asked her a few questions to understand why she has the Fitstop Feeling 😁 What made you want to join Fitstop? I had been a member at a couple of F45’s for a few years, so after losing some weight & at the same time getting fitter, I wanted to focus more on my strength. When I saw Fitstop included deadlifting, I was an instant sign up. ✅ What is your favourite Fitstop session? That’s easy, it’s Lift. I’m always chasing my PB’s in these classes and it’s the best class to learn the correct forms. 🏋️‍♀️ What motivates you to work hard? Seeing how far I have come since joining Fitstop. If it wasn’t for the gym I don’t know where I would be, so seeing progress is definitely something that makes me want to keep pushing. 📈 What makes you laugh? At the gym? Definitely Ray. Whether it’s screaming from the other side of the room, or dropping it like it’s hot mid stretch. 🤣🤣🤣 What do you love about Fitstop? That’s a tough question because there’s a lot I love about it. Most importantly it’s the good vibes (even at 6am) & not once have I felt uncomfortable asking any questions or asking for help. 😍 What do you have for breakfast? You glow different when the only approval you need is your own… Annnnnd if you spend your entire spring/summer outside 😅 I’ve gone through so many mindset practices. Some I obtained from other trainings or my exercise platform, some I came up with on my own… But truly I think another significant aspect to why I was able to navigate all of that (pre/post divorce life, our move, starting over, etc) was because any time I felt myself start to mentally slip, I took my ass outside. I moved & breathed & forced myself to pause on life. I even gave the action a name… “I need to go run through my feelings for a bit.” I don’t know what it is about movement & fresh air helping to clear your head, but it DOES do the trick. Not to mention that if you’re walking/running in a way to exert yourself, ALL you will be focused on are your steps & breath work…you won’t have the capacity for anything else. And sure this moment of clarity or peace or distraction may be temporary, but at least you’re getting a moment. Sometimes when we’re in the thick of something, a moment can make all the difference if we’re intentional with it. 🤍

Keeping moving in a mindful manner is the theme of the week. When was the last time you thought about your movement? The Pilates method teaches awareness of movement, which leads to efficiency of movement which will ultimately lead to more efficient movement. Leg day in the books!! Legs hit always a challenge but we gotter done! ✅ legs feel stronger everyday im so thankful for that! When disabling pain or injury comes knocking on your door it can be some of the most painful and dark days of your lives. This I know I may not have shown it I might have complained ALOT! But I got through it not 💯 yet but so close to being back to my old self again. We are given just 1 vessel to work with and keep healthy and sometimes we push ourselves to get better faster and as we age not that I consider myself old even though my body might disagree here and there we need to listen .
