17 years ago I became a Reiki Master Healer and Teacher. Having been a Registered Nurse for many years prior, it was such a gift to be able to offer help and healing at a whole new level. It also opened many new doors for me, as often happens when you work on yourself at the subtle energy level. I’ve lost count of the number of people I have taught, but I know each one has been such an honour and delight to teach. Sometimes negative people or negative experiences, insecurities or doubts. Feeling unappreciated was a big one! Something I did to help myself in those moments was create a ‘READ ME’ folder in my mailbox. In that folder, I put all the lovely emails, ‘thank you’s and messages from colleagues that made me feel appreciated or made me laugh and smile. The healing journey often feels like your life is falling apart. And technically it is. When we heal, we shed layers of ourselves that no longer serve us in order to evolve. I quit my unfulfilling job to follow my soul calling. I moved over 100 miles away from my hometown and toxic family dynamics.
