Cheers to day one of travelling solo.. ✈️ 🚌 🏨 I had a really good stay in @travelodge at Gatwick Airport last night. I wasn’t expecting much, but the rooms are well equipped with everything you could need and there is a restaurant/bar with a good range of food and drink including vegan 🌱 options. My alarm was set for 4am this morning which is only an hour or so earlier than normal, but I was still super worried about sleeping in, so my sleep was very broken. The Gatwick Hoppa 🚌 stopped right outside the hotel which was amazing, although it was so full that we were packed in like sardines! Bag drop and security at @gatwickairport were a dream and once through security I was super excited to find that the North Terminal now has an @charlottetilbury 🤩 concession and a lovely assistant helped me choose some foundation 💄 I had time for a quick coffee ☕️ and Açai bowl (costing me a tenner 😱😱😱) and then headed for my gate My murdle book 📖 🕵️ was my best friend today as we were stuck in the runway for a long time! We touched down in Tunisia at about 11 at the high point the nerves of travelling alone, finding the right transfer bus and getting off at the right stop started to feel very overwhelming. I’m pleased to say I made it and it’s beautiful, the people are super friendly and the service is amazing! I crashed for two hours this afternoon and am hoping for a restful night tonight! Frohes Neues! 🥳🎆 Ich wünsche euch alles Gute im neuen Jahr! 😊 Dieses Jahr war für mich turbulent und voller Widersprüche. Ich habe Menschen verloren, einige von ihnen für immer. Andere habe ich neu gefunden und obwohl ich sie nicht lange kenne, kann ich mich bereits auf sie verlassen. Für Monate war ich sehr glücklich, aber alles endet einmal. Ich habe viel über mich gelernt und auch wenn es mir schlechter geht als das Jahr zuvor, bin ich weit gekommen. Today, I had a cold shower🚿. I know it doesn’t sound like much buuttt, I love hot showers it’s all I know. So mentally for me this was hard. But guys I did it😃. Today it’s 34 degrees in Pretoria. Now at 6 at night there is a big storm with thunder. And something clicked again with everything that’s going on. No suelo mostrarme por aquí, y menos a mis hijos, pero esta foto me gusta mucho; durante las vacaciones, jugando con los pétalos de las flores, todos contentos. Y hoy tengo ganas de compartir algunos pensamientos. No siempre es fácil esto de la maternidad, o de la vida en familia, sobre todo cuando sabes que necesitas tiempo para pensar en una misma, hacer planes para un futuro profesional, salir de la zona gris, en la que no te sientes capaz de retomar tu antiguo trabajo, y tampoco demasiado segura en el cambio elegido. Falta de sueño, de energía, a veces nos volcamos en un estado de irritación casi permanente, perdemos la paciencia con los que más queremos, y no conseguimos disfrutar plenamente de la vida. Aunque la vida también es esto. Se acaban las vacaciones, mi pequeña tormenta empieza el colegio, y mi gran huracán entra en segundo! y yo? yo también entro en mi segundo año de formación, de reorientación laboral, con ganas y con miedo; queriendo aprovecharlo al máximo aunque sin tener un camino muy definido 'profesionalmente', y estoy me angustia de una cierta manera, me genera una cierta ansiedad. Soy una persona un tanto dispersa a veces, y me gusta hacer muchas cosas relacionadas con el arte y las manualidades; el dibujo, la serigrafia, coser, teñir y bordar la tela, crear cosas.. 🤯 En fin, aquí estoy yo, en una búsqueda intensiva de proyecto profesional que me haga sentir bien para que mi espíritu se tranquilice. Und wenn ich so darüber schreibe, wie es mir geht, bekomme ich auch immer Nachrichten wie "du hast doch alles, was man sich nur wünschen kann" und ich kann das gar nicht beschreiben. Ich bin sehr dankbar für mein Leben, ich bin auch überhaupt nicht unglücklich und genieße das Leben sehr. Ich wache mit diesem Ausblick auf und kann es kaum fassen, dass dieses Haus mit diesem Ausblick uns gehört. Verheiratet, zwei wunderbare Kinder, halbwegs gesund, keine finanziellen Sorgen, sicherer Job mit vielen Möglichkeiten. Ich bin mir aller Privilegien bewusst. Und am Ende irgendwie auf der Suche nach mir selbst. Wer bin ich, außer Mutter? Ich war mal Reiterin, aber selbst das bin ich ja aktuell nicht mehr.. #searchingformyself #privileged
