I got ahold of some @buckedup Carmel Apple pre-work! Only downside is it is discontinued so the 7 we bought all expire at the end of this year and the one we opened is kinda clumpy (so all are probably like that). 😣 This past weekend we tried their flavors Sour Bucks and White Gummy Deer from their energy drink line and they were great! Earth day on social media can feel like a giant list of all the ways we’re not doing enough to saaaave the earrrrrrrrth. Zillions of reuse tips, waste reduction hacks, maybe even things like machine-washable toilet paper or borrowing thousands for an EV get piled on top of the mountain of ways regular people are asked to rescue an entire planet. As if you weren’t already exhausted. Shifting blame back to unchecked corporate expansion (rather than regular citizen’s shortcomings) as the truer root of our environmental issues is gaining momentum, which might be a tiny step in the right direction. But what if a CEO spent a long stretch in the woods and didn’t take anything? What would they discover? How would they be changed? What if a politician suddenly didn’t need to seek power or fame to cover up a feeling of lack? What if a billionaire finally felt OK enough about themselves that they didn’t have anything to prove? If they could feel like they were enough, would all their money and things be less needed? I got to wondering if the root of Earth’s issues with humans begins with humans’ issues with humans. Somehow that feels a LOT easier to tackle than rescuing a planet. The best part is it starts with taking care of YOU. Know this: the most valuable thing you can possibly do this earth day (or ever), is to go hang out with nature. Let her be just how she is, while she lets you be just how you are, and watch how that changes EVERYTHING. . . . . ......Ok, the POOP caveat: Yes, some plants depend on animals to eat seeds and poop them out somewhere else. Perhaps once upon a time humans were a big part of this mechanism. These days, we eat weird stuff and there are 8 billion of us now, so our current numbers combined with our current habits make our excrement less-than-ideal inputs back into ecosystems. In fact backpackers are increasingly encouraged to pack out their poo to reduce negative effects of increasing amounts of human waste on water sources and sensitive ecosystems. I’ll meet up with friends and do something fun, go out to eat or just stay at home and watch some series and movies. Mostly I just enjoy the little things together with my loved ones. I’m a crazy obsessed cat mom so I cuddle with my cuties like literally 24/7 ✨ they are my entire world and I’d do anything for these little cuties 🥹 what I find most inspiring and fascinating about my work is that I feel like I’m learning something new every single day and nothing ever is the same. The kids in my group teach me more than I could’ve ever imagined. They’re so honest, so purely innocent and real and so caring it’s mind blowing and so wonderful to witness. Nothing gives me more joy than being by their side seeing them grow more and more each day. On my way to and from work I go crazy with some carpool karaoke and I absolutely love to go all in to my favorite songs. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not really doing all that well at the moment. To summarise: I'm sick of being sick - injury, cold, stomach issues, and disrespectful treatment. The season started out pretty well I guess. I worked well and I did my job, a new job, to the best of my abilities. Then January came with the constant ups and downs, initiated by tearing tendons in my ankle. I had just started the rehearsal period of a very small solo role which, even though it's a rather ungrateful part to be singing, gave me much pleasure. And then Friday evening, boom, I was lying on the cold hard stone outside of my apartment. Anyway, so I tore some tendons, went back to work in a brace after about a week, not long after that I contracted a cold, which is rather normal of course. Got better. Attracted another cold. Got better. Somewhere in-between there the dentist told me the infection in my jaw hadn't subsided yet. Got stomach issues. But those were nothing compared to the stomach issues I'm having right now. Those have started a week ago and they're driving me crazy. There's always stuff going on in people's personal lives and the best thing for everyone is to not judge. Though like everything else, I'm gonna get through this. We're not yet halfway through 2024 so I still got time to make this my year. Could 2024 still be my year? It's been a journey. Honestly,never would I have thought this could be me [and this is only the beginning] We've all got a story. A reason. I was bullied at school. Always being the skinny one in our friends circle. I had no confidence. A low self-esteem. I always knew there is better out there.That I'm strong and that I can achieve greatness. At the moment, I'm feeling amazing.Im looking good, and I feel confident in myself,who I am, and what I stand for in life. His is my journey, and no one elses. Waking up every morning at 4/4:15am to go to Crossfit, 6am in the kitchen,running my own business,sometimes home at 7pm,6 days a week. Being a dad to the most amazing kids. I'm trying to be supportive and the best husband to my wife. I definitely don't have all the motivation every day. I wanted to quit many times and tell myself I'm not good enough. I failed many workouts,where I struggled,but like they say,ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY. BUT THATS WHEN YOU NEED TO LIFT YOUR ASS AND MOVE. NO EXCUSES.
