While tummy time is crucial for development, tummy sleeping isn't safe for all babies. ✨ Babies who can't roll over yet might struggle to adjust their head position on their tummy, increasing the risk of SIDS. 👉 Once your baby can roll from back to tummy and back again (usually around 4-6 months), it's generally safe for them to sleep on their tummy if they choose. This shows they have the strength to move their head (clearing their airway) if needed. Once your baby is showing signs of rolling from their back and unto their belly, it is time to stop swaddling. They need free arms and legs to move around and explore. Transition your baby to a sleeping bag or other suitable sleepwear that allows them to move their arms and legs freely.
