Primo libro che leggo di questa autrice che ho trovato molto simpatico. Sicuramente molto scorrevole e piacevole ma non da 5⭐. Sarà per le poche pagine ma manca qualcosa. Credo che andrò comunque avanti con la dilogia, rimane un romanzo leggero che sa intrattenere. Lo sport viene ben trattato e ti fa entrare in quel mondo alla perfezione, anche se gli hockey romance rimangono i miei preferiti in assoluto. Avevo troppe aspettative, ne parlavano tutti troppo bene e, nonostante sia carino, non è niente di che. Come se lui fosse sempre stato mio.✨️ Buon pomeriggio #readers, oggi vi parlo di after him di Naike Ror. Questo libro è davvero scorrevole, mi ha completamente attirata e non riuscivo a staccarmi in nessun modo. Nonostante il mio periodo di blocco, leggerlo mi ha aiutata parecchio ed è stato bellissimo. È diventato uno dei miei libri preferiti. La cosa particolare del libro è che parte subito a bomba. La prima scena mi ha davvero stupito, non me lo aspettavo, ma è stata una novità molto gradita. Tutti i personaggi mi sono piaciuti; i secondari sono stati fondamentali in molte scene e hanno reso più bella la lettura. Mi sono affezionata un po a tutti, anche se ovviamente di più ai protagonisti. Con Prudence sono entrata quasi subito in empatia, alcune scene mi hanno davvero spezzato il cuore per lei, facendomi anche emozionare parecchio. Adoro il lavoro che fa, è anche quello dei miei sogni ed è stato bello da leggere. L'ho apprezzata tanto anche caratterialmente, penso sia stata coerente dall'inizio alla fine. Con Hardy invece, penso sia inutile dire quanto io sia innamorata di lui. Sul serio. Non mi aspettavo un personaggio così dolce, eppure mi ha completamente conquistata. Penso che un ragazzo così lo vorrei anche nella vita reale, è davvero incredibile. È dolce, testardo, protettivo, si fa rispettare, sa essere vendicativo (soprattutto se ferisci qualcuno a cui tiene), molto legato alla sua famiglia e ai suoi amici, non cambia ragazze come se fossero mutande ed è sempre sincero. Sul serio, è perfetto. Ho apprezzato molto anche le scene un po più drammatiche, che hanno fatto venire molta tensione, ma lasciava sempre la curiosità e voglia di scoprire il prima possibile tutto quanto. Se siete amanti degli sport romance non potete perdervelo. È una lettura che consiglierei ad occhi chiusi, senza pensarci due volte!

Iniziano a parlare con piccoli battibecchi e devono stare attenti a non innamorarsi perchè era una delle regole nel contratto che tra assistenti e giocatori non ci dovevano essere storie d'amore o sesso. Ho apprezzato leggere il passato e il presente dei personaggi, vederli maturare dopo 5 anni di distacco ma con dei caratteri forti, pungenti. Vedere i sentimenti di prudence evolversi e scontrarsi con quelli di Hardy per capire cosa era andato storto dopo quella notte di sesso passionale.
