With such weary skies— the trees stand tall with worry, withering in the wind of tomorrow. They thought of us as strong survivors, but instead we were suffocating— until the trees sacrificed their seconds in time. @canamaicann Here's a Nature alliteration poem I wrote on trees that looks at how they change through seasons with time. Their leaves are very significant when they begin to change and supply the oxygen for us to breathe better. * Please be sure to check out @divine__ink 's and I collaborate reel on this poem. “It is a pleasure to a real lover of Nature to give winter all the glory he can, for summer will make its own way, and speak its own praises.” My body has returned from the gorgeous Lake District, however my soul is still in there. Every time I visit a new place, I tend to read a book written by an author who lived there or simply a novel written about that particular place. I didn’t think there was a better book for me this time, as I was staying in a middle of a forest, knowing I would visit this gorgeous little cottage! I am not experienced in poetry and I found it a bit hard to begin with, however these poems in here are beginning to grab my heart and I have promised myself to read more! The journal is just so beautiful. So simple but so beautiful. The descriptions of nature, the people they meet, the letters they receive, you can imagine being there and living their lives! I haven’t finished it yet because this is not a book to finish in one go - not for me. Because it brings me so much happiness, I want to open it every time I feel a bit gloomy and want to be transferred back to Grasmere. Whether you’re a fan or not, I highly recommend visiting this place. Go inside the cottage and imagine William writing his poems and Dorothy writing her journal. Go for a walk around Grasmere and imagine them walking down the road, taking in the stunning views. Not knowing anything about the Wordsworths beforehand, I was absolutely taken back and it’s the absolute highlight of my holiday! ᴛʀᴇᴇ ʀɪɴɢꜱ & ʜᴜᴍᴀɴ ꜰɪɴɢᴇʀᴘʀɪɴᴛꜱ; Here's a short poem I wrote within my poetry book "Trees & Truths," that reflects on how our fingerprints and the tree rings from a tree's stump are very much alike. I believe that we are all connected to trees in many ways. Did you know, tree rings indicate a tree's age? Yes, this is one of the ways to track growth from a tree, to determine its age, count the dark tree rings in the center (as in years). Although, DNA from our fingerprints do not determine our age, it instead makes up who we are and may alternate (change) as we age. Tree Rings & Human Fingerprints Trees rings go buried within its stump, as do the fingerprints that run deep within our skin.
