No matter how old my kids get, we will always do at least one character meal all together as a family for each Disney vacation we take! I love character meals on your arrival day, rest day, and/or departure day! This was taken on our arrival night of our summer Disney vacation this year, at Chef Mickeyโs, which is located in the Contemporary Resort hotel. Doing a character meal on your arrival day really immerses you into your Disney vacation and gets the party started for your time there! ๐ฅณ Character meals can take between 60 - 90 minutes. So to really take our time and enjoy them, I personally prefer not to do them in the parks so that we arenโt in a hurry and feel like we are missing out on our park day! There are a handful of character meals in the parks, but a large amount of them are also in the deluxe resorts outside of the parks! (And then you get to walk around and explore the different deluxe resorts! Resort dining is one of my go-tos at Disney. Usually the food is better and it is a lot more of a relaxed experience than the parks. However, getting from point A to point B can be a challenge. Disney transportation does not go from resort to resort in most cases. So you need to know where you are starting and what park your resort is closest to for dining reservations. Hoop De Doo Music Review - Fort Wilderness Campgrounds Well we did it folks! We finally got to the Hoop and it was something else. Here are the important highlights we learned. ๐ Make sure you allow time to get there. Youโll need to park (if driving) and then grab a bus to Pioneer Hall. This can tack on about 30 min to your travel time. ๐ฉโ๐ณ You need to note your allergies when you book the dining. So if someone else books for you, make sure they note your allergies so you are covered. ๐ฉโ๐ณ You will be able to meet with the chef as you check in to get your table assignment. S/he will confirm the allergies and what you will be able to eat. ๐ฑ The GF/vegan option included the options in the pic. Both the cornbread and the dessert were GF/vegan when the GF allergy is noted. ๐งThe GF/DF meal options are pictured. Note that these are not the โfall off the boneโ kind of ribs. The mac and cheese contains dairy, but they can make it GF. ๐ท The price of the meal includes unlimited red or white sangria, beer, or wine. Letโs talk about Three Bridges at Coronado Springs! A few weekends ago we were able to enjoy a dinner at Three Bridges and I was blown away by how amazing it was and how inexpensive our drinks and food was! It was a very hot day out and we decided to take a break from the parks to enjoy a sit done meal. This is probably the first time weโve done this since before COVID. Since we are locals we usually bring food to the parks or purchase small snacks throughout the day! I enjoyed the Sangria Flight ($21) which included: (1) Tinto (Red) Sangria , (2) Rosado (Rosรฉ) Sangria, (3) Espumoso (Sparkling) Sangria, (4) Blanco (White) Sangria. Iโve listed these in my favorite order. The table shared the Roasted Corn Dip ($12) and Warm Manchego Cheese and Oaxaca Cheese Dip ($14)! Honestly next time Iโd get this as my meal. Lastly for an entree I got the Smoked Feta Greek Salad with Grilled Chicken ($14). The portion might be too small for someoneโs else mea but was perfect for me! They also took our AP DISCOUNT which always makes a meal better ๐ Where should we try next?

And for $29 adult/$17 child this all-you-can-eat meal simply cannot be beat!! We were meeting good friends and wanted simple and easy. Choosing a restaurant where the meal was already determined was a HUGE help. ๐ฑ For GF/Vegan you can get allergy friendly rolls with plant-based guava butter and onion jam (which somehow was left off my plate ๐ข), Spice Neck Salad (GF/vegan as is) โค๏ธ, and the Taste of the Caribbean. Ale & Compass Lounge - Disneyโs Yacht Club While I have never eaten at Ale & Compass proper (the restaurant), I have spent some time in the Ale & Compass Lounge. We love the decor and atmosphere in here.. is soโฆ nautical ๐ฅ. This time around we got some food to go (twice)! Menu: On the menu the Pub House Rolls and the burger can be made GF with some modifications. The house rolls were so good and those dippers (๐ฅ bacon jam? pub ๐ง cheese?? ๐ citrus butter???) were very well made. We got some tomato slices and made mini BLTs using the cheese and bacon jam. Yup. Yum!! Now Iโll let you in on a little ๐คซ secretโฆ if you ask nicely (the magic ๐ช word is โpleaseโ) you can even get a slice of the Twelve Layer Chocolate Cake ๐ฐ that is served in the restaurant. It is not DF ๐ , but it is GF, NF, and SF (per the menu). However, (edited to say:) others have investigated the SF and found that it is free of soy protein yet contains soy oil and soy lecithin. You guysโฆ if you can eat dairy, please try this cake. There is no denying how good this thing is!! Did the cheese board and wine at the Carthay Circle Lounge and then moved over to dinner at the Carthay Circle Restaurant. ๐๐ผCheese board had: Mt. Tam, Humboldt Fog, Manchego & Point Reyes Bay Blue. (The Mt. Tam was definitely my favorite). โญ๏ธWine: For the wine the server suggested the Marc Bredif. Iโve never tried it before but absolutely loved it and would definitely order it again ๐The warm cheddar Parker house rolls with Calabrian chili-pinenut Romesco. I actually ordered this the last time we dined at the restaurant and will probably do so every time. The bread is incredibly soft and the romesco is amazing! ๐๐ผSleigh Ride: I donโt remember everything this drink had aside from the bourbon but it was okay. Iโm not sure I would order it again but I definitely wanted to give it a try since it was the festive drink. I didnโt see it anywhere on the menu but the glow snow flake caught my attention when the bartender was making it in the lounge. The drink itself was served warm which I didnโt expect but didnโt mind. ๐Winter vegetable Soup: I think itโs funny that itโs call โvegetable soupโ when it has turkey but I did love it and would order it again. ๐Ravioli filled with braised short rib: These were amazing!!! The price is a little up there but I personally feel like it was well worth it. I thought these raviolis would have cheese with a bit of short rib but I donโt believe I seen any cheese at all. When cutting into it all I seen was the short rib. The sauce just adds great flavor and moisture.
