Fig, Thyme and Goat’s Cheese Galette from the One Tray chapter of “One Pot, One Pan, One Plant” by @we_are_food . My first contribution to the #rainydaybitescookbookclub Tray Challenge, hosted by @rainydaybites , and also sharing to #forgotttenrecipescookbookclub with @piastromexicankitchen, celebrating women in cooking this month. I made this easy savoury tart a couple of weeks ago when our autumn figs were at the peak of their very short season - a wonderful dish that showcases their sweet, jammy texture and flavour!😍 The salted, buttery, hazelnut shortcrust pastry is divine and so simple to whizz up handsfree in the blender!🤩 (This is actually the only way I ever make pastry to ensure it is not overworked by my heavy handiwork!😅)The dough has a quick rest in the fridge before rolling it into a circle and filling it with a blended and super tasty mix of salty goat’s cheese and rinsed capers, honey from our bees, fresh thyme leaves and parsley from the garden, lemon zest and juice, and black pepper. So delicious!😋 Sliced figs are laid generously on top (they do shrink quite a bit, so I overlapped them) and the edges of the pastry are folded over to create a rim. Preserved Lemon and Herb Baked Orzo 💕 Inspired by a Syrian yogurt-baked orzo, this dish gets it all done in one pot. I used my Le Creuset and changed the method slightly to sauté the veg first — in my case, garlic, leftover red onion, kale, asparagus — in olive oil with coriander, fennel seed, Aleppo, sumac, lemon, minced preserved lemon, salt and pepper, herbs. Added the orzo to toast in the same pot, then took off the heat and folded in yogurt mixed with an egg. Poured in boiling water. Then baked with the lid on for 25 minutes at 450 degrees F. Took off the lid and baked for another 5 minutes until crispy and golden brown on the edges. Served with chermoula, rose harissa, feta and olives. Delightful, healthy, and an easy one pot meal! We liked that the orzo got a nice bottom crust and became more rice like with this preparation. 🍄🍝 MISO PORCINI MAFALDINE 🍝🍄 My ultimate mushroom pasta - garlicky and creamy, with a serious hit of umami 🤤🤤 Dried mushrooms add an intensely savoury kick (plus it's quicker than sweating off a ton of chestnut mushrooms). Enjoy! For one: 80g pasta of your choice 15g dried porcini mushrooms 1 x tablespoon vegetable oil 2 x garlic cloves, sliced 2 x shallots, finely chopped 2 x tablespoons crème fraiche 1 x teaspoon white miso paste 1 x heaped tablespoon freshly chopped parsley Sea salt and black pepper to taste Rehydrate the dried mushrooms in boiling water for 10 mins. Save the mushroom water! Cook your pasta according to pack instructions, less 3 minutes. Keep a splash of the pasta water. In a saucepan on a medium high heat, add the oil and fry the garlic for a minute. Add the miso paste and the rehydrated mushrooms, along with the mushroom water. Give this a good mix, then add the pasta and a splash of pasta water. Let this simmer for a few minutes to fully cook the pasta, and thicken up the sauce. Throw in the parsley, a sprinkle of sea salt and black pepper to taste, and serve 👌🏼👌🏼

Moin meine kleinen Zuckerärsche. . Was mich heute geritten hat als ich dachte ich könnte mal wieder Lahmacun selber machen weiß ich auch nicht. Das dauert gefühlt eine Ewigkeit bis alles fertig ist 🙈 . Das Problem ist...Es schmeckt einfach richtig geil 😅 . Teig, Belag und Salat Zeug habe ich heute morgen schon vorbereitet. 🌟 CAULIFLOWER STEAKS WITH SWEET POTATO PUREE 🌟 Earthy cauliflower, delicately seasoned and roasted to perfection, paired with creamy sweet potato puree. Topped with a delicious mix of olives and soft dried tomatoes for a burst of Mediterranean flavour. This dish is a celebration of wholesome ingredients coming together for maximum flavour and texture. - 1 Cauliflower - 5 tablespoons Olive oil - Salt - Pepper - 1 tablespoon Lemon juice - 2 Sweet potatoes - 150 ml Vegetable broth - 1 handful Basil - 60 g Sun-dried tomatoes - 90 g Green olives - 90 g Black olives 1 tablespoon Pine nuts. Clean, wash and cut the cauliflower into slices about 1cm thick. Brush with 2 tbsp oil, season with salt and pepper and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with lemon juice and bake in the preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown. Meanwhile, peel and chop the sweet potatoes and place in a saucepan with the stock. Cook over a medium heat until tender. For the topping, wash the basil, keeping some for garnishing. Chop the rest into strips. Chop the tomatoes and olives and mix with the basil strips. Using a potato masher, mash the sweet potatoes with 2 tbsp of oil. Season to taste with salt, pepper and a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg. Arrange the cauliflower steaks on top of the puree and top with the olive mixture. Baked dhal with tamarind glazed sweet potatoes for our final recipe challenge from One Pot, Pan, Planet by @we_are_food for our #rainydaybitescookbookclub. This recipe comes from the One Tray chapter and our group could choose any recipe from this chapter to make. I actually made several recipes from this chapter and posted them this week including the brown butter double chocolate cookies, chocolate olive oil rosemary cake, sticky sesame baked cauliflower, and all were so good! I actually had another four tabbed to make, but, I ran out of time! This sweet potato dhal was absolutely gorgeous! Flavorful and hearty this is a great vegetarian main that heats up well the next day too. Picture a bed of lentils that are cooked with onions, ginger, garlic, cumin, cardamom, turmeric, chili, tomatoes, stock, and coconut milk until all the flavors come together. Then thin long slices of sweet potatoes are nestled over the top, forming a lid, and the top of the potatoes are brushed with tamarind. The skillet is then baked in the oven until the sweet potatoes soften, and almost caramelize at the edges, and the dhal softens underneath. It’s served with a squeeze of fresh lime juice and I actually liked it with a dollop of Greek yogurt too. This makes quite a bit so there were plenty of leftovers for the next day too. I can’t wait to see what you made from this chapter. This book fast became one of my favorite vegetarian cookbooks. Every single recipe was delicious, easy to make, and with a great balance of flavors. I have two of her other books and I know I need to get her other two now too. The only Michelin starred Mexican restaurant in NYC @_oxomoco_ is serving wood fried dishes in Greenpoint. We sat at the counter right in front of the kitchen. Started with their drinks - I got the frozen Recuerdame and she was so cute and good. The soy marinated tuna tostada is a must, for tacos - went with the lamb barbacoa and the swordfish tacos. The swordfish taco was my favorite with the labneh *chef kiss*. She was the best bite of the night for me. The spring peas tlayuda was super fresh with the greens a solid Mexican style pizza. we also got the smoked mangos to start and the punta verde Caesar salad (not pictired) but would skip these :) for the dessert, the chocolate cake was the move 💯 would go back for the tostada, drinks, tacos and that dessert again. #sohaeatsnyc

Le petit cake igbas du week-end fraise pistache sans lactose et sans gluten. La base est à la banane et poudre d'amandes. - 2 bananes moyennes écrasées - 2 oeufs - 120g de poudre d'amandes - 60 g de farine de coco - 50 g de pistaches réduites en poudre Mélangez les ingrédients dans l'ordre. Versez dans un petit moule à cake chemisé. Rajoutez des gros morceaux de fraises et des pistaches. Faites cuire 55 minutes à 170 degrés. Je vais le tester avec de la rhubarbe la prochaine fois. Il est très moelleux.
