⚠️❤️🩹🚨 UPDATE 🚨❤️🩹⚠️ A HUGE + GIANT + LONG bowel obstruction 😭 Plum Wine aka Wino 🍷 is out of emergency surgery! Thankfully the very skilled vets and staff at our Delahey Vet Hospital were able to get the entire obstruction out and there was no perforation or leaking into baby girl’s gut (so far). Plum Wine is on her way home to temp foster care however it’s very likely she may need to go back to the emergency vet tonight to stay on fluids (we are just waiting for the surgeon to let us know what she thinks). Baby girl is VERY flat and miserable, but the Doctor does feel the worst is over. All the houndie pups got into a tarpaulin a few days back and tore it to pieces, so the Doctor thinks this material looking thing is possibly the lining around the skirting of the tarp. So far we have raised close to $4k 🙌🏼 thanks to the many many generous humans who have rallied together to support this little rescue hound. After speaking with emergency vets, we can confirm that Wino has a blockage in her abdomen. At this stage she has no leaky gut or perforation. So tonight she will remain in intensive care at the ER to make sure she remains stable. In the very early hours of the morning Ma is going to collect her and rush her over to one of our trusted vets for emergency surgery. If anything starts to look critical over night there is a vet who can do emergency surgery. For now, baby girl is being kept hydrated and dosed up on pain relief ❤️🩹 The estimate for tonight’s emergency care and tomorrow’s surgery all up, is around $8500. I truly believe over the counter medicine for colds is all about taking your money bc they don’t work. To actually take a couple different kinds and days later I am worse than when I first started just truly sucks. If you heard my dry deep hoarse cough… Omgosh my chest burns every time I cough. Today when I started wheezing, I thought of the day my husband died. His inhaler, oxygen didn’t work. I knew he had gotten pneumonia again.Tamee the optimist tried to get him to see that he was gonna get better. We were gonna get an X-ray, new medicine and he was gonna beat it like he did once before. Even when he called me in our bedroom to tell me goodbye before he died I was the optimistic person. Even the most positive person during those 19 months of him being sick didn’t save him. My love didn’t save him it only bought him time to try and keep fighting for me.i miss my husband every single day! For over 12 years my life has been so empty! No one has loved me or treated me like he did. He knew from the moment he laid eyes on me he loved me. Every man since has been about lust not love. He was the love of my life bc he loved me severely broken from losing a child and taught me I deserved to be loved and treated like a queen. No matter what he did with his addictions there wasn’t a day that went by in almost 7 yrs being together that he didn’t tell me he loved me. I understand his addictions so much more now bc I got educated.So many families could benefit from education on the addicted brain and why people that wanna quit but truly can’t bc their brains work against them. Losing my husband at the age of 38 is something I will never get over,bc life sucks without him. His body was tired and wore out! Following a really amazing weekend in San Miguel Allende making art and hanging with friends; I have been so sick.
