Hereditary (2018)(Netflix) 9.1/10 Tras la muerte de su mama, Annie, una madre con depresion, va pasando por su etapa de perdida, cuando pasa otra tragedia, en la que trata de comunicarse con el mas alla para tratar de encontrar algun sentido de porque le esta pasando esto, pero poco a poco, van pasando cosas extrañas a ella y su familia. · La historia de Hereditary, es una locura, es una pelicula escrita extremadamente bien, siendo una pelicula de terror, que te pone tenso, incomodo, y tratando de saber que es lo que esta pasando. La primera vez que vi esta pelicula en el cine, quede traumado de como sali de la sala, es una pelicula que no se te va a salir de la mente. Hereditary es un slow burn para un final que conecta todo, con plot twists y un final que te dejara pensando en que es lo que acabas de ver, y esa sensacion me encanta al ver una pelicula. A lo largo de la pelicula, vemos como nuestros personajes, al ver a la matriarca que esta perdiendo la cordura, podemos ver como a la familia le afecta y es lo bueno de la pelicula. · Toni Collette deberia de haber sido nominada y si algo ganar a mejor actriz ese año, da una actuacion IMPRESIONANTE, y de las mejores que he visto en mi vida, super poderosa y se roba todas las escenas en las que sale en pantalla. Alex Wolff es muy bueno en el supporting, dando un adolescente perdido en como la muerte le afecta en su vida diaria, siendo un outcast, y poco a poco ver como empieza a caer en una transa en la que ya no se puede identificar con quien es. Gabriel Byrne y Milly Shapiro son muy buenos como el papa y la hija, dando un papel crucial en la historia. · El terror y el suspenso de Hereditary es lo que lo hace tan unica, ya que la mayoria de las peliculas de terror son malas, esta es una pelicula que es muy muy buena y de las mejores de la historia en mi opinion, teniendo en las dos horas de la pelicula, demasiada tension en lo que esta pasando, y los ultimos 20 minutos, son totalmente traumantes que te quedaras sentado pensando en que viste. Time to relax after a long day at work with my girlfriend and enjoy a horror movie at home for tonight! From 2018, "Hereditary"! I haven’t seen this movie since I saw it in theaters and when I originally watched the film, I was a little confused by what all happened in the film perhaps the second viewing will help me understand it a little better. This isn’t your typical type of horror film that’s for sure but then again that is what A24 usually does when they do horror movies. This will be Emily’s first time seeing the movie, so I’ll be very curious to see what she thinks of it, especially with a couple of those scenes that had the entire internet talking lol! When the matriarch of the Graham family passes away, her daughter and grandchildren begin to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry, trying to outrun the sinister fate they have inherited. . Wow, what a film! And one that just begs for repeated viewing. There's so many layers to this story and many easter eggs to be found, subtle hints and meanings in the background as well as in the script. . The film handles the weight of loss and grief with such attention to detail. Yes it's a horror movie on the surface but there's so much more than scares here. When you realize what's really going on and why it has to happen... I believe that's more frightening than any desperate jump scare that this genre generally likes to offer. . If you haven't seen it then obviously I urge you to seek it out. And if you have seen it and didn't rate it then please watch it again and really pay attention to what's being said and to all the clues given in the background. I swear there's so much to take away from this. . At times it's a very unsettling film with imagery you won't be able to shake for a while. But with that you get beautiful cinematography, a masterclass in direction, extremely believable performances all round from everyone. And yes I am in that camp that believes that Toni Collette should of been Oscar nominated for her role as Anne here. The emotion she showcases in this is so heartbreaking and at times desperate that it always blows me away. She should of got the statue that year. Absolutely incredible acting on display here! .
