BLACK PHONE (2021) Pendiente desde hacía tiempo, pero dejada porque las de terror no suelen entusiasmarme. Y menos mal que le di una oportunidad porque es de los mejores thrillers que he visto en los últimos años. Al principio no sabía por qué tardaba tanto la trama en centrarse pero es crucial para lo que ocurre cuando nuestro protagonista es secuestrado. La duración es más que adecuada y los momentos que transcurren en los que parece “que no está pasando nada” en realidad son imprescindibles para mantener la tensión y llevarnos algún que otro sustillo, los cuales están bien metidos y aunque alguno puede ser esperado, sí que le dan ese plus. Un ejemplo claro es el de la puerta con candado y no doy más datos para que los que no hayáis visto la película. Aparte, el elenco elegido para encarnar a los 3 personajes principales: Grabber (Ethan Hawke), Finney (Mason Thames) y Gwen (Madeleine McGraw) son perfectos. Aunque tenga cierta temática sobrenatural son capaces de hacernos creer lo que están viviendo y que se trata de algo real. Y, por último, destacar la ambientación en los años 70 que considero es bastante correcta y, por otro lado, el sótano que con su simpleza de 4 paredes consigue transmitir frialdad, impotencia, miedo y soledad. Ahora bien, con el buen final que nos da la película, ¿era necesario hacer una secuela? 🎥Reseña de Película 🎥 🎈La parte que más me gusta, es que el labio inferior extendido y el ojo desviado, no son prosteticos. Es Bill que puede hacer ambas cosas 💯 🤡Eso Parte 1 y 2 (It/ It: Chapter 2, 2017/2019) Dir. Andy Muschietti y Guiones. Gary Dauberman, Jeffrey Jurgensen, Chase Palmer y Cary Fukunaga. 🎥Basado en el libro homónimo de Stephen King, la historia sigue un grupo de chicos que se ven atormentados por un ente con forma de payaso que los persigue para matarlos y que es responsable de varias desapariciones de niños en su pueblo cada 27 años. En la parte dos, el mismo grupo, ahora de adultos va a enfrentar al payaso por última vez. 🎥Teniendo en cuenta que la adaptación no era la primera, muchas expectativas cayeron sobre esta remake de la mano del director argentino. Yo creo que las cumplió muy bien todas. Aunque no considero que haya sido una película de terror en sí (y el payaso de Curry me gustó mucho más) creo que tiene varios momentos memorables, como el de la proyección de fotos o la vieja en el departamento. 🎥A niveles generales, creo que está mejor lograda la química de grupo en esta versión que en la de 1990. Primero, porque el grupo de chicos es excelente y bastante gracioso, mientras que el de adultos tiene muy buenas adhesiones. Mí personaje favorito es Richie, tanto por Finn Wolfhard como por Bill Hader. Y su historia es la que más me gustó también. 🎥 A niveles técnicos, si bien tiene buenos efectos especiales, hay momentos donde se exagera con ellos y entonces pierde la magia la interpretación de Skarsgård (dios mío, cómo me costó escribir eso). Pero son películas que están bien y, al menos yo, me reí bastante pero las disfruté. Sobretodo el cameo de Stephen King con el mate. Ужасами его можно назвать с натяжкой, так как там присутствует пара-тройка скримеров, не более, что ещё не делает картину ужастиком. Но чего уж точно у неё не отнять, так это вайба произведений Стивена Кинга! И не напрасно, потому что автором сценария по собственному рассказу выступает непосредственно сын короля ужасов Джо Хилл (это его писательский псевдоним, а вот его настоящее имя — Джозеф Хиллстром Кинг, 51 год). И это главный козырь фильма — его атмосфера. Ведь в целом он вышел несовершенным, не без огрехов, где-то поверхностным. Возможно виной этому формат рассказа, растянутый до полнометражного фильма?! Кому-то может показаться недостаточно действия. Но лично мне, не смотря на шероховатости визуального повествования, понравилось погружение в суровую реальность персонажей, которых повсеместно преследует спонтанная и беспричинная жестокость. Здесь следует упомянуть, что главными действующими персонажами являются дети, и то, каким нападкам подвергаются они в школе со стороны сверстников или дома со стороны отца, не может не шокировать и обойтись без сочувствия. ‘Inside Man’ was a film I saw at the cinema and ended up being disappointed by a bit so I’m giving it a second attempt. I remember the marketing at the time making a big deal about a twist ending but I had already seen it done better in the first 20 minutes of the Bill Murray classic ’’Quick Change’ so that spoiled it for me. I am rewatching with an open mind to enjoy the performances by some high quality actors and a different style for Spike Lee. It Chapter 2 is… a lot. I feel like what made the first one stand out so much is that it was a story about children, and all the requisite wistful mindset of being that age was there. Now these children have grown up into very recognizable actors like Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader and others, adults who uniformly feel just a bit out of place in a horror film. That’s not to say it’s a bad film; it’s certainly an entertaining one, if far too long, but the whimsy and genuine menace inherent in growing up when they were younger simply isn’t here, replaced by a weary, older vernacular that makes sense, but shifts tone ever so much. I love McAvoy and Chastain dearly, they are boundlessly talented artists but the fact of it is they just don’t feel quite right for these parts, and I can’t help imagining this story with a few less obvious, more subtle character actors playing the parts, actors like horror veteran James Ransone, the only one their crew who feels at home in the now dilapidated town of Derry. And while you can’t fault filmmakers for relentlessly milking such a lucrative cash-clown, they lean far too heavily on Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise who is admittedly an inspired and always dementedly engaging presence, and yet I wanted to see this shapeshifting denizen in more forms other than just the one it’s become a household name for. There is one positively harrowing sequence where Chastain visits a creepy apartment inhabited by a weird old lady, which is so scary and uneasy it almost makes the whole thing worth it it then they put literally that whole scene into one of the trailers in all their infinite wisdom, and where’s the fun in that?
