La dirección de #jameswan me parece de lo más acertada, mezclado el suspense, con el terror y el thriller (con unos sonidos magistralmente usados)a las mil maravillas y usando el guion de una manera sutil en cada escena (siempre te deja algo escondido). Es bastante conocido que en los últimos años el señor Ridley Scott mete mucho de filosofía y misticismo de la creación y la religión en sus obras. Como una obsesión que le corroe, como la del rey Midas, Steven Spielberg, por los ovnis. Esta cinta de ciencia-ficción y terror es una muestra de ello, en la que un grupo de científicos viaja siguiendo las pistas de los llamados Ingenieros, nuestros supuestos creadores, en busca de respuestas. Esta historia, pese a sus agujeros de guión que los tiene, estaría mejor si cabe de no delatar su director que se trataba de una precuela de su obra maestra Alien, el octavo pasajero. Y claro ¿qué es lo que esperaban los fans más fieles de la saga del xenomorfo? Pues que al menos aparezca un xenomorfo. Aún así juega muy bien sus cartas en el terror basado en una infección capaz de destruir celularmente un organismo o transmutarlo en una criatura letal. Una peligrosísima amenaza como tantas otras que puede haber en el espacio. Al igual que se puede gozar de una música magnífica de manos de Streitenfeld y Gregson-Williams. Noomi Rapace (The Drop), Charlize Theron (Atómica), Logan Marshall-Green (La invitación), Michael Fassbender (Malditos Bastardos), Idris Elba (La torre oscura), Sean Harris (M:I Rogue Nation), Kate Dickie (La bruja), Benedict Wong (The Martian), Rafe Spall (El ritual) y unas breves apariciones de Guy Pearce (Memento) y Patrick Wilson (Expediente Warren) completan su reparto. Valoración 6/10. Me parece una muy buena cinta de terror espacial pero una floja precuela de Alien. Si lo hubiera mantenido en secreto y se hubiera esperado a una tercera peli donde revelase que todo lo visto es anterior a su gran obra, no le habría salido el tiro por la culata. Kematian Elise (Lin Shaye) di akhir film pertama yang mestinya menjadi premise menjanjikan untuk Insidious 2, toh tidak bisa dimanfaatkan maksimal oleh sutradara James Wan dan Leigh Whannell sebagai penulis pada 2013. Sehingga, Insidious 2 (2013) saya anggap sebagai 'bonus' hidangan penutup, terutama berdasarkan adegan terakhirnya yang sudah cukup jelas sebagai akhir dari cerita. Hingga ketika kisah 10 tahun lalu kemudian diangkat lagi dalam Insidious The Red Door, apakah saya harus berharap petualangan baru dari Josh dan Dalton Lambert? Sejujurnya saja tidak. Penulis Scott Teems pun tampaknya berpikiran yang sama. Selama 107 menit film berjalan, sebagian dari isi Insidious The Red Door mengulang kisah dua film prekuelnya yang terkait, yakni versi 2010 dan 2013. Perubahan cerita hanya ada pada latar waktu yang menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan Dalton Lambert (Ty Simpkins), penambahan sedikit karakter baru dalam hidup Dalton, dan masalah keluarga yang baru. Sisanya sama. Pemain sama, pembabakan cerita juga sama, dua hantu pun sama, teror scoring masih sama, serta pengulangan kembali sejumlah footage dua film sebelumnya. Hal itu bagi saya jelas mempermudah Patrick Wilson untuk bekerja sebagai sutradara. Apalagi, film ini adalah debutnya sebagai sutradara film panjang. Jangan salah, bagi saya tak ada yang lebih baik selain 'orang lama' yang menggarap Insidious 5. Apalagi, film ini berstatus sebagai penutup. Perlu orang yang sudah lama berpetualang dalam the Further untuk menggarap film ini agar setidaknya tak banyak kehilangan rasa khas dari saga. Saya pun mengapresiasi usaha Patrick Wilson dalam menambah sedikit rasa segar dalam Insidious 5. Misalnya pada deraan jumpscare dan permainan psikologis penonton melalui berbagai scene jelang jumpscare. Patrick Wilson jelas punya otak jahil yang membuat menyaksikan Insidious The Red Door terasa lebih menyenangkan daripada sekadar membuka album memori. Namun saya menyayangkan peran Joseph Bishara sebagai komposer yang terasa kurang menggigit dalam film pnutup Insidious ini. I rewatched the film "The A-Team" yesterday. I've always liked this film! The A-Team is a fun, exciting thrillride filled to the brim with laughs. The awesome script by Brian Bloom, Skip Woods, and director Joe Carnahan (based off the T.V. show created by Stephen J. Cannell & Frank Lupo) is charming and filled with such a snappy wit. The characters are colorful and likable. You got a good story about brotherhood, redemption, and honor. The action sequences are clever, explosive, and absolutely exhilarating. The film has a great ensemble cast, including Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, and Sharlto Copley. They have such delightful chemistry filled with dysfunction and hilarious banter. Patrick Wilson also has a superb prickish performance from Patrick Wilson as the film's villain. It also has a solid supporting cast, including Jessica Biel, Gerald McRaney, Brian Bloom, and Henry Czerny. The cinematography by Mauro Fiore is well done and accompanied by a cool score by Alan Silvestri. The film is expertly edited by Roger Barton & Jim May. The film moves at such a lively brisk pace.
