Spirituality is not defined by how it looks to anyone else. It’s not about what you wear. It’s not about how many crystals you have. It’s not about what plant medicine you’ve taken. It’s not about only seeing love and light. It’s not about how many tools, classes, retreats, or courses that you go to- Spirituality isn’t about how much you can accomplish, or how many boxes you can tick off to mark your healing progress. Spirituality is your presence and awareness in each moment, where you learn to disconnect from what “should be” and be with what is. It is your natural state of being before the world shaped you into the “doer.” It is the ability to regulate your responses in day to day life vs your reactions. It is the gift of feeling the whole spectrum of human emotions as we navigate our lives. It is a gift of connecting to something that is higher than us, and yet apart of us all at the same time. We want to find and pursue all of the answers to our questions outside of us, when in reality all of these tools, practitioners and medicines are really just guiding us back into ourselves. Don’t get lost in how it “should” look based on what you see. Essentially it all is within you, and how you choose to go within is up to you. There is no one size fits all approach, or “best” approach. Spirituality is essentially just living in presence and connection to the deepest levels of yourself. If you’re overwhelmed, or don’t feel like you connect with the newer age of spiritualism that you see growing around you that’s okaaaay. How you feel most connected to yourself is what matters. How you choose to show up for yourself matters. Not how it looks to anyone else. My approach to my spiritual work is exactly this. All I’m here to do is to help you go within. To encourage, support and be an empathetic witness for your own process. To help you remember your power and wisdom to know what you need to feel fully at home within your body. I’m not a healer, I am a guide. We are not broken, we just need a reminder sometimes when things start to disconnect us from our intuition. My dms are always open if you feel called to connect! 🫶🏻

Day 4 Mindful in May ~ Mindful Eating! with chocolate 😋 [Free to join anytime, register at www.myDrishti.com.au/workshops to receive access to free accompanying recorded meditations] 🍫 Taking a piece of chocolate, take a moment to unwrap gently, listening to the different sounds; loud and subtle, of the wrapping, and the click and snap as you break a small piece off for yourself. 🌟 Notice if any begins to melt onto your fingers. 🌟 Bring the chocolate up to eye level and observe the texture, the colour, the shape, and begin to notice any subtle aroma. 🌟 Closing your eyes, bring the chocolate closer to your nose, take a deep inhale in through the nose and allow a gentle smile to form on your lips and you smell all the different rich, sweet, bitter scent of the chocolate. 🌟 What do you notice, what thoughts cross your mind. What do you feel? 🌟 Slowly place the chocolate on your tongue and allow it to rest there for a moment.
