A do tego ma ona swoją adaptację filmową, którą obejrzałem zaraz po skończeniu książki! „Zalety bycia niewidzialnym” by @chboskys Drogi Przyjacielu, Rozpoczynając przygodę z tą książką, stajesz się adresatem listów od Charliego. Nie wiesz zbyt wiele na jego temat. Nie znasz go. Jest dla ciebie jednocześnie nieznajomym, jak i człowiekiem, którego znasz od najbardziej intymnej strony. Poznasz świat nastolatka, który odczuwa wszystko. Poznasz otoczenie w jakim dorasta oraz wiele szczegółów na temat życia miłosnego, rodzinnego. Ale usłyszysz także głos duchów z przeszłości… i piosenkę, która sprawia, że czujesz się wieczny. Zaczynałem książkę z nastawieniem, że będzie to powieść, która będzie niesamowicie emocjonalna i tutaj rzeczywiście tak było. Poznając listy Charliego, mamy szansę poznać emocje towarzyszące jego życiu, codzienności, jak i wracających przebłysków z przeszłości. Autor świetnie opisuje bohatera swojej powieści, choć momentami ciężko było mi polubić czy zrozumieć go. Czytanie tej książki było zdecydowanie ciekawym doświadczeniem. To w jaki sposób autor postanowił wykreować świat przedstawiony, było interesujące. Do tego forma listów, nadała całości zupełnie innego wydźwięku niż gdyby była to powieść napisana zwykłą prozą. To, co dzieje się na końcu książki jest zdecydowanie tym, co sprawiło, że książkę oceniłem wyżej. Początkowo ciężko było mi się skupić na jej czytaniu i odczuwaniu tego, co się dzieje. Jednak im dalej, tym większy bagaż otrzymujemy jako czytelnicy i łatwiej jest zrozumieć bohatera. Jest to zdecydowanie lektura, która zostanie w mojej pamięci na długo, mimo że nie została ona przeze mnie oceniona na pięć gwiazdek. Będę ją polecał, jednak zanim zabierzecie się za nią - przeczytajcie TW i bądźcie pewni, że to odpowiedni czas. Charlie also has a great teacher named Mr. Anderson who helps him a lot. Mr. Anderson sees something special in Charlie and encourages him to pursue his interests and dreams. Having Mr. Anderson's support means a lot to Charlie as he tries to find his place in the world. As Charlie grows up, he starts to understand himself better and learns how to deal with his past trauma. Along the way, he find out a very traumatic past of himself but he has people around him to support parents friends and siblings.His relationships with his siblings also play a big part in his life, giving him love and stability when things get tough. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is a story that shows the ups and downs of being a teenager. Do you speak or read in more than one language? This week’s #fridayflatlay features some of my favourite books that I’ve read in other languages. Now that I’m back in an English speaking country, I’m relishing being able to read in my first language. But over the years I’ve also enjoyed (and still try to do it from time to time) reading books in other languages as well. I’m not nearly as fast or competent in my other languages as I am in English, but I’m still thankful! And I always found reading in other languages a good way to practice and learn them. Here are a few that hold particularly special memories for me: A friend and I read 壁花男孩 (Perks of Being a Wallflower) together when I lived in Taiwan. Once a week we’d meet up and read and discuss it together. L’elegance du hérisson (The Elegance of the Hedgehog) I actually first read in English and loved it so much that when I found out it was originally written in French, I asked a friend of mine living in Paris at the time if she’d keep her eye out for it. She ended up finding it and bringing a copy when we next saw each other. I was over the moon! It’s still one of my favourite books, in French and English! Руслан и Людмила (Ruslan and Ludmila) is a well-known epic poem about a knight, a princess and a jealous wizard. While reading the digital copy I had, I would sometimes to pause to a) rest my brain and b) sketch out little illustrations of what was happening in the story. I knew that I wanted a professionally illustrated copy of it eventually though, so when I was at the Petrivka Book Market with a friend of mine, I was delighted to find the copy I now have here. My girlfriend had an assignment in one of her classes and she chose Perks Of Being A Wallflower because she knew it was one of my favorite movies. When we struggle with finding friends, dealing with problems, and changes in our life we don’t know how to express it. We always want to just be strong and not let anyone see it because we don’t want to bother people with our problems. This movie tells a beautiful story about a student in high school who is socially awkward, having a hard time as a freshmen, and is dealing with his own problem. But eventually He has to overcome his fears and step out into his comfort zone. I definitely recommend this movie because it’s a movie that can help you see the world a little bit differently, it can make you feel like you’re not alone, and lastly its a movie that can inspire you to treat people with kindness #perksofbeingawallflower #love #movies #deepmeaning
