So, I should be baking the recipe for the collab today. Cross fingers 🤞 In the meantime, here is a very easy and yummy recipe. I made an earthy comforting sauce by chopping sautéeing a small onion, a carrot, a stick of celery in extra virgin olive oil. I added a pound of ground pork meat and browned it for a few minutes. I added 2 juniper berries, a spring of rosemary, a little salt, and half a cup of white wine. When the wine evaporated, I added a jar of crushed tomatoes and a little boiling water. I let it simmer for about an hour before adding a pound of farro and extra boiling water. Cooked like a risotto for 25 minutes and served. If you want, you can add chili flakes, black pepper and/or some parmesan. Buon appetito! All little ones had second helping and asked me to make it again! 🥳 Yay! Which of these are you guilty of? 🫣🫣 I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve fallen into many of these over the past few months and have been self sabotaging my efforts because of it... After getting back from vacation and feeling VERY frustrated with how I was looking and feeling I wanted to immediately jump into restriction and punish myself for letting this spiral out of control. Old Tracey 🙆🏼♀️ would have 100% done that - cut calories to 1200/day, add in 30 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week, eliminate sugar, treats, candy, and bitterly say no to any *fun* requests for happy hour or eating out. It would suck. I’d only be able to stick with that plan for 1-2 weeks before I couldn’t white knuckle it anymore and say *screw it.* I don’t do that type of process anymore 🙅🏼♀️ because I know it isn’t beneficial for me long term and will do me minimal good for the short term. Here’s what I recommend instead: 1. Assess your consistency for the past few months - Have I even been tracking? What is my consistency? How much effort have I been putting in? 2. Assess your progress - or lack of progress - without bias - Does my level of effort match the results I am seeing? Do I have progress photos and measurements to show? 3. Realign your expectations and goals - What is realistic for me right now? What is my reason for wanting to do this? How can I remind myself of the bigger picture when things get tough? How will I track my consistency? What will flexibility or modifications look like? 4. Get back to the basics - no matter where you are at in your journey you can never go wrong with building a strong foundation - make a plan, prelog your food, block time for walks, schedule in your workouts, set drinking water reminders, etc. The basics may be boring, but they are where everything else stems from. Sticking to your goals may not always be the easy option. But it’s important to remind yourself of this.. “Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.” - Tony Robbins You got this ✨💖

Unsere Tradition ist es, einen Familientag mit Picknick & Erdbeerkuchen an unserem Lieblingsspot am Starnberger See zu verbringen. Darauf freue ich mich jedes Jahr wieder. Das erste mal waren wir hier als ich noch mit unserem ersten Kind schwanger war. Nun sind wir schon zu Viert und die Kids toben durchs Gras und wir können den Kuchen (und vor allem die Erdbeeren) gemeinsam vernaschen. Ich kann garnicht in Worte fassen wie glücklich und dankbar ich darüber bin. Mama sein ist eine herausfordernde Aufgabe rund um die Uhr, aber auch eine der Schönsten, die ich mir hätte je träumen lassen. Schlafmangel, Angst, Tränen, der erste Sturz, Wutanfall oder lockere Zahn. Dazwischen das Gefühl unendlicher Liebe, wenn man früh das erste Mal von einem sabbernden Kuss geweckt wird, der Stolz wenn die kleinen Mäuse ihren ersten Schritt wagen oder ein Grinsen über das ganze Gesicht wenn sie sich ein selbstgemachtes Eis auf dem Gefrierschrank holen dürfen.
