Hubby and I had a date night @localkitchenfairfield and this was the first time we were both here. It's a really cute spot with a wide array of beers, drinks, and a pretty impressive menu. Chili Cheese Dog Bake 🌭🧀🔥 #GameDayGrub Ingredients: 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough 8 hot dogs 1 cup chili (homemade or canned) 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/2 onion, diced (optional) Mustard or relish for serving (optional) Instructions: Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Assemble the Dogs: Lay out the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Place a hot dog on the wide end of each triangle and roll up. Place the rolled hot dogs in the baking dish. Add Chili and Cheese: Spoon chili over and around the hot dogs in the dish. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the chili. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crescent dough is golden and the cheese is bubbly. Garnish: If desired, add diced onions on top for an extra crunch and flavor. This was a mash up between David Leibovitz’s Celery Root Soup @davidlebovitz https://www.davidlebovitz.com/celery-root-soup/ and a recipe from Epicurious.com that I had in my Passover file from 2011: Zucchini, Potato and Cilantro Soup. https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/zucchini-potato-and-cilantro-soup-238289 I modify the heck out of most things but this soup is super fresh tasting and perfect for spring. My friend’s Homemade Herbal Salt elevated it. (There’s nothing quite like homegrown herbs- @earthlicious_r.h.n Sauté: •1 tsp fennel seeds and 1 finely diced jalapeño in olive oil for about 5 minutes. •Add 4-5 sliced garlic cloves and sauce until fragrant •Add one peeled and diced celery root, 1 large potato •Cover with broth or water and cook about 30 minutes. •Season with salt and pepper Add 1/2 lime juiced and 1/2 cup cilantro and blitz in the blender.. •Check for seasonings and add more lime, salt and pepper as needed. •Garnish with fennel fronds (if you have some) or cilantro leaves. If you're not new here, you know I love my bagels. @fletchsbagels recently opened its storefront in Ridgefield so you know I needed to pop in. It's a good size space serving breakfast and lunch sandwiches along with a decent selection of bagels. I had to try half of each for research purposes. The everything bagel was perfectly seasoned and crisp on the outside. I also loved the fact that I got a waffle hashbrown on my sandwich and there was a ton of bacon. This ONE thing changed how I see binge eating and accelerated my recovery 😀 There was this magic moment 😮 when I realised I was essentially doing the same thing as before my recovery - trying to control my body. Fãs de macarrão, de queijo e de bacon… ponham a mão no ar! 🙌 Vamos juntos preparar um delicioso “Mac ‘n’ Cheese”. 🧀Colocamos no copo 80g de queijo parmesão, ralamos 10 seg/vel 10 e reservamos. 🧀Colocamos no copo 100g de queijo Cheddar, ralamos 3 seg/vel 8 e juntamos numa tigela com o parmesão e misturamos bem. 🧀Retiramos 2 colheres de sopa para outra tigela e reservamos as duas tigelas. 🧀Cozemos 280g de uma massa a gosto (água a ferver, sal, azeite, a massa - tempo indicado na embalagem, 100°, vel.colher inversa), escorremos a massa com a ajuda da Varoma e reservamos num pirex grande. 🧀Colocamos no copo 10g de azeite e 150g de tiras de bacon e, refogamos 5 min/120°C/vel.1, função inversa). 🧀pré-aquecemos o forno a 180°C. 🧀juntamos o bacon ao pirex onde está o macarrão, adicionamos 150g de ervilhas descongeladas, envolvemos e reservamos. 🧀Colocamos no copo 50g de farinha, 650g de leite, ½ colher de chá de sal e 1 pitada de pimenta e cozinhamos 7 min/90°C/vel 3. 🧀Adicionamos o queijo ralado reservado da tigela grande e misturamos 1 min/90°C/vel 3. Should you prioritize protein, water, nutrient-dense whole foods? YES. Should you restrict yourself in any way, shape, or form (unless medically necessary)? NO. Do I currently offer services? No. I go back and forth between wanting to offer services and not because of one main thing: I don’t want you to need me forever. My goal would be to make you so self-sufficient, so self-aware, so knowledgeable about food and how it works, that you wouldn’t need me for long. Is that a good business model? Not at all. 🥭🍋Divine lemon flavor with mango. Homemade pie. 🍋🥭Вот прямо как надо худеть к лету, захотелось добротного лимонного пирога. Но, конечно, начинка у меня не из одного лимона или лайма. Тут два фрукта: цитрус и манго. Натерла с лимонов цедру, очистила их от кожуры, противных пленок и косточек. Добавила 4 ломтика консервированного манго. Взбила фрукты в блендере до консистенции густого пюре. Дальше просто. Песочное тесто. Кусочек сразу же откладываем в морозильник. Остальное раскатываем и выкладываем в форму с бортиками. Выливаем фруктовое пюре. Сверху тертое замороженное тесто и ломтики манго для декора. This Dietitian says: Carbs are your friend! Let’s stop demonising them 😈 There has (again 😔) been a rise in talk about low carb diets on social media! I’ve also observed this in my own clients enquiring if it’s the right thing for them. Overall excluding any major food group is not a good idea due to the potential multiple nutrients you will miss out on that your body needs, to function on a daily basis. Let alone it’s effect on your hormones and fertility. Low carb diets are not my jam (pun intended)😝 so I only use them for particular circumstances, specific client goals and under very close monitoring. Like any other restrictive diet, they can also lead to disordered eating and with eating disorders on the rise this is definitely something I want to try to minimise. Having worked previously in eating disorders I feel pretty strongly about this! Have a read 🧐 of the post to find out the vital roles carbohydrates have for our bodies 💥 💪🏼.
