I am all of these things, and many more But, who am I, really? It's quite an interesting question to ask We often use the answers above to explain who we are...... But we are so much more The labels we use to describe ourselves are often constructs of society. Ways we have been programmed to THINK of ourselves. Boxes we put ourselves in so that people know what we do and how they can expect us to be. A kind of certainty But, it's actually not WHO WE ARE. While these may be aspects of us, they are not US I have so much respect for how people are live, the ways we all evolve into seasons and mindsets. How we grow and change. But, how we see ourselves matters so much more than we know It affects everything we do, as a human being I now see myself as a unique expression of our creator, having an experience in human form. With a unique blueprint that hasn't yet been expressed in the way I will express it And that has opened doors in my ability to live, feel joy and be present It's still quite new to me, because it's something that takes a lot of getting used to Yes, it's a mindset Yes, things still go wrong Yes, life stuff happens BUT, it's given me a new perspective with which I can look at all things that are happening. A different lens It's a mindset, in simple terms. IT CAN BE SCARY to leave your comfort zone. Especially if you're introverted.. as I am. 😶 Perhaps I should turn back to my comfort zone... "Yes!", my heart and mind howls enthusiastically!" Makes sense. Leaving my comfort zone felt like leaving a sun of silence. Perhaps it incinerated some opportunities in life. Like cancer can. On the other hand the potentially incinerating sun of a comfort zone is kind of warm and comfy... ☀️😗 Why should you try to force yourself to leave a place of balance and try to make your way out on something that feels like a tightrope over a scary abyss..? 😵💫 "Silence like a cancer grow." I hear in the song If my cancer hadn't grown, I probably never would have gotten this strange urge to perhaps be heard outside my comfortably narrow comfort zone. The little cancer is gone, and the urge is fading fast. Define it: “Trouble making decisions.” 3. Invent diagnostic criteria by stating the obvious: “Trouble making decisions causes noticeable distress in one’s personal, social, and work life.” (This makes people think, “Hey, that’s me!”) 4. Manufacture metrics by pulling them out of the air: “Must struggle with making decisions 4 out of 7 days per week, over the course of 3 months.” Voila: Indecision Disorder. (No this isn’t a DSM disorder…yet : )) Next, give it a code for insurance, and it’s a done deal. This is precisely how every single disorder in the DSM was created. They were literally made-up. No scientific research, no meta studies of peer-reviewed articles, no testing of metrics. For example, Depressive Disorder: “Sad, hopeless, empty feeling, loss of pleasure…” Duh! “Must have 5 out of 9 symptoms for 14 days”…Sound familiar? : ) Depression is REAL. “Depressive Disorder” is a nonexistent entity. Anxiety is REAL. “Anxiety Disorder” is a nonexistent entity. Attention deficit is REAL. “Attention Deficit Disorder” is a nonexistent entity. Transparency Post: I don't always feel as confident as I look. I don't always feel as Happy as the energy I give off. But! I am very intentional with everything in my life. Therefore my confidence is not in my ability to do anything, it's not in my access to valuable people, it's not in the money I have or generated, it's simply in the fact that GOD has my back. So I am able to operate in a fearlessness which leads to opening the door of my Confidence. My happiness doesn't come from how someone makes me feel, it's not because of what someone did for me, it's not in the relationships I make, it is most definitely in my gratefulness in GOD. Because it can be a lot worse. Yet he chose me, to protect me, to guide me, to be the example of true love. I say all that to say my Energy comes from my Inner-G. That is what I will never forget.
