🌴📚 ℂ𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕒 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ℍ𝕒𝕦𝕝 I have my oldest child to thank for this haul! & the beer is for my Dad’s birthday, today 🍻 He would have been 63. I went to California this weekend for my second oldest’s college graduation. While visiting, I was gifted Heartless Hunter on a visit to BN with my oldest. I used to always take my kids there and the library. Then, we started talking about Mistborn and all of their favorite parts without spoiling it for me 😆 Which led to Sanderson’s Warbreaker. At some point we started talking about Red Rising and I was handed that 😂 But wait, there’s more! I also noticed a box set of Heartstopper, so we watched the first season and I loved it! I wish I could have stayed long enough to watch season 2. Maybe I’ll save that for my next visit. I had the best weekend spending time with my adult kids. They had stayed in California when I moved to Oregon and I’ve missed them so much. I can’t believe they’re in their mid twenties! Today I had the absolute honor of a lifetime to meet Sam Raimi, a Director whose work I've admired for nearly a decade & a half, dating back to when I was 7 years old & watched "Spider-Man" for the first time with my brother! • 3 years ago, after Scott Derrickson unfortunately left the project due to creative differences, I was absolutely THRILLED when I learned that Sam Raimi would be taking over as director for "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness", and was excited to see his horror style of directing in a Doctor Strange movie. And now I'm glad he did. Not only did I meet him but he also signed my Darkhold AND Book of Vishanti! • To say he was impressed with the books would be a VAST understatement! For the Book of Vishanti he said to me "This has to be one of the most impressive props I've ever seen" & "I'm amazed at how detailed this is, even with such little screen time". • But for me at least, the real kicker came after he signed my Darkhold. He asked if I had gotten Elizabeth Olsen to sign it. And when I said no he said "Well Aaron, I really hope that one day you have Elizabeth see & sign this book one day. @tyleroakley The photography artist is proud! I decided to keep my recent Toy Scene small because I am not exactly “well” at the moment and once I get better, they get a little bigger. I also like “the towering” I can do with my favorite Calico Critters buildings! I can also swap more of the smaller pieces around if the Toy Scene is kept small! What a “Binge!” I love these animal characters so much, especially the fennec foxes and corgis, it gets me off my phone when my brain “asks” for a break! Offline creativity, something fun for me to try with a special someone! I’d have us each pick a character, and not have the Toy Scene not be too “loaded” so that they move around however the next setups for that go freely and funly! 📿Book Props After watching documentaries on Anne Boleyn, Jane Grey and The Tower of London recently I've fallen back down the glorious rabbit hole of all things Tudor. I'm currently listening to Alison Weirs Anne of Kleves and I treated myself to my new favourite book prop! Check out my Anne Boleyn inspired necklace!
