Happy Friday beautiful Peeps!!! So I just thought I’d share… my husband and I started eating better as of 11/1/21. So far he’s lost about 50 and I’ve lost about 25 (no fair!!!! Lol) But one thing We have been learning is how to balance things. We don’t specifically restrict what we eat to ONLY healthy but we do try to stay within a calorie deficit and drink A LOT of water. His work allows him to be more active while I’m usually a little more sedentary. I crave sweets (thanks PCOS), he craves savory. Our differences make life more interesting I guess, haha! Learning to be healthier, learning about foods & fueling our bodies, learning to appreciate nutrition.. all very important. To be honest I’ve never cared about this stuff before. I wish I had cared sooner but all I can do is care about it now. It’s not easy at all but it’s definitely worth it!!! I can’t really tell yet when I look in the mirror but, I do know that my clothes is starting to fit a little better already.. & that’s enough by itself to keep me motivated. You are special. Say it with me.. “I am special”! Well I don’t know about you, but I know for me personally.. I always feel the total opposite of this. Funny thing is I have always been able to encourage and compliment others. Quickly, genuinely, nicely able to inspire others and let them know how amazing they truly are and all the awesome things they can achieve. But somehow, when it comes to ME.. I fall short and always find it hard to believe that I am special, beautiful, amazing, awesome, etc. I’m literally my own worst critic. But when I discuss this topics with friends.. I often find that I’m not alone in that. We are always our own worst critic. We tell others they’re amazing but we feel we’re the worst. So I’m challenging myself and YOU.. go to the mirror, grab your toothbrush or hair brush (as your microphone lol) and give yourself some awesome compliments. Something you tell other people. But tell them to yourself. If you can make this a habit.. then eventually we can start to build up our confidence and start to actually see ourselves the way God does. And He don’t make no junk yall. In 2011 I released my first album “Roslyn”. In 2014 I released my 2nd album “Run to You” with the same titled single and music video. (The first album isn’t available online right now because the company that it went through, closed down. *UPDATE* So I had my neurologist follow up today. He wants me to get another MRI (brain and neck with contrast) after January 3rd which will be a month after the last MRIs were done at the hospital ..he seems to think that maybe this is a mild case of MS but not sure of course. My symptoms have been slightly improving little by little here and there.. but they’re not resolved and I still don’t feel like “myself”. So it’s just a waiting game right now. He said If anything changes in the meantime just to let him know. And he wants me to get plenty of rest. Try to eat & live healthy. Take it easy, no stress or overdoing things. Vitamin D 5,000 daily. I’ll keep praying and trusting. And then get the MRIs done. In the meantime hopefully I’ll just keep improving little by little. So hubby & I accompanied some friends to the Gun Range earlier this week. It was quite the experience. For so long I have had this carefree mindset of “I wanna go to the gun range and shoot and I want to get my license and my own gun, etc”. Now we have gone to the range before but just never to actually shoot or go all the way in where people were shooting. While I was there I was a bit anxious, it was so loud. I had lots of thoughts. And I couldn’t get myself to want to be in there for too long. Thankfully I was with people who actually cared to explain things, walk me through, show me correctly, calm my mind, etc. but what I did learn is.. guns are no joke, they are extremely powerful and not to be taken lightly.
