Seekers Books 🐈 |📍Toronto I think I just found my new favourite bookshop in the city! Located down a flight of stairs off of Bloor St. W, this hidden (but not so hidden since it was busy lol) gem of a shop has every type of book you can imagine - Tarot, Music, Children's, Classics, old, new, and all for very reasonable prices! They even have a store cat that lets you pet it - he was so calm and sweet curled up like a little loaf on a box (slide 4). 🥹🍞 The owner was really nice too and he was making jokes at the checkout which left me feeling happy. I feel good supporting local, but especially when the customer service is memorable in a good way. I ended up leaving with 2 books - Beartown by Fredrick Backman, and The Story of the Lost Child by Elena Ferrante, the latter of which I've read and belongs to my favourite series so I knew I had to own a copy 🤍 I also got to finally meet Ashley yesterday from @equinox.books and I had such a great time exploring bookshops all 3 of us together! This community has given me a lot to be grateful for and I'm so content 🥰 Anyone visiting Toronto, you must visit this bookshop!! It gets a perfect rating from me! Seekers Books: I don’t know how many times I passed by it before finally venturing in. But once I stepped in there it felt like entering a bubble of alternative universe: exciting, compelling and extraordinary and yet so familiar and safe. It felt like stepping into a book.

When I got my bookshelf for our new home, the first thing I did was search for the nearest book store, which happened to be @halfoffbooks in Uptown Whittier. I returned to that bookstore week after week, snagging a book here and there as I finished the previous the read. Jones was probably the first series I read--or had read to me🤷🏻♀️--but I absolutely loved the A to Z mysteries along with others like The Magic Treehouse✨ And then in my late elementary into middle school days I was obsessed with the 39 Clues and Seekers series🐻 As much as I love when authors continue to write book after book in a series though, it's upsetting when you eventually grow out of them and never actually get to finish📖 I'll never know why I stopped on the 5th Seekers book and didn't read the last one...
