Mini review Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 I really wanted to love this book! The cover is so pretty 😍 I enjoyed both of the author’s previous books and I guess I had high hopes for this one. It wasn’t bad, it was just underwhelming… I don’t typically enjoy college settings all that well and I usually think the characters are immature and boring, which most college-aged kids are. ✨ January Wrap Up ✨ I had a really good reading month in January. I read some new to me authors and have fully caved and given into my romance era. As someone who read mostly thrillers at the start of this creating page, I am shocked at how much romance has captured my heart. I learned that I do not like slow burn romances, they frustrate the hell out of me. I said it, and I stand by what I said. Even if the moment it happens is worth it....the getting there, not so much. Mini review of The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward (@catward66 ) Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was a 4 ⭐️ read for me, mainly due to a mediocre narration. It might have been a 5 ⭐️ read if I had the physical book instead. It is hard to give a proper review for this book without giving away too much, so I’ll be brief. Well delivered story that will make you question things on every turn and give you the feeling of unease. Great depiction of how horrific and flawed humans can be and what it ultimately leads to. It was a bit hard to follow for the first third of the book, but if you stick with it, everything will fall into place in due time. It’s a book where I had to let go of the need to be in control, allow myself to be confused and uncertain, and let the story unfold. It’s a heavy read, check trigger warnings. Didn't read very much last month. A lot happened. Hopefully this month I can read more. My favorites was Haunting Adeline and Brutal Prince. Masquerade is a series I started in high school that I never finished. So here I am, finishing what I started 14ish years ago. I gave it 3 1/2 stars Haunting Adeline was better than what I was expecting. If obviously came with trigger warnings, but I ignored them (Side note: please don't be like me. If certain trigger warnings bother you, dont read the book) Zade is 🤤. Booktok convinced me to read this and I'm great I did. I gave it 5 stars. This spice is off my chart 🥵🥵 Brutal Prince is another book booktok convinced me to read. Enemy to lovers 🥵😍 also mafia romance.
