If you’ve been here a while, you might know we give our boys experiences as presents as we try to keep our home clutter free (and they get more than enough toys from their friends already). Love Sundays like this. We were unfortunately without Tilly (who is feeling a bit under the weather) but I worked out in my favour as I got to ride and not walk. Today was Lottie’s first hack on Finn, new route, different combination to hack with and for the last part off the lead rein. Lottie can be quite anxious about change, so I use the skills I’ve learnt over the years from @flyingchangescoach to help her work through and understand her feelings. She came to me last night, having written down her worries, we talked through them and worked out what we could to make her feel a little more comfortable. Being in your stretch/learning zone doesn’t have to be scary if you control those things within your control, rather than worrying about the things you have no control over. I wouldn’t say we get it right every time but at least we are working through the process so that hopefully we can reduce her anxiety. Does anyone else feel that in order to help the next generation we first have to heal ourselves? 2024 goals. So we have finally made the decision to start growth hormone. This is not a decision we have made lightly, and it still makes me quite nervous. With lots of medical discussions and tests, I do at least feel like we are making the best informed decision with Grace’s current health. It is standard treatment for girls with Turners to have growth hormone treatment. It is not however common for them to have a giant tumour sitting near their spine. This is why we have been hesitant to start. Grace’s recent scans show her tumour is stable, and with her growth plates open and ready, it’s the best time to start to give her to the best possible growth results. An injection 6 days a week for the next 10 years. I don’t even know how to explain it to her. Still working with her therapists to use the best language and explanations, as her medical trauma is pretty intense already. It’s good to know we have made a decision but I’m not going to lie and say I’m excited about it.

ENT check up for Grace yesterday. ENT is one of her most important and frequent check ups, Turner’s girls have lots of ENT issues. Weird story, a few months ago I called the hospital to see when her next hearing check was and for some reason they had completely discharged her from their care….🤬🤬. I just don’t even understand them, she is supposed to have regular hearing checks, she has already had 1 set of grommets, her adenoids out and still has swallowing difficulties - WTF did they discharge her for!? Anyway, Grace’s paediatrician sent us privately 🙏🏻. ENT Dr yesterday said she will be having more surgery in the new year, she needs to have her tonsils out, repeat of her adenoidectomy, repeat grommets back in, as well as a microscopical scope of her vocal cords to look at potential nodes or damage which is affecting her voice. A lot to take in a few days before Christmas 😩

Today was my first full day with all four kids by myself 🙃 I’ll be honest, I was nervous about it! I’ve been blessed with help up until this point —from my mom, sister, and mother-in-law, so the first day on my own was met with anxious trepidation. (I know not everyone has help for this long after baby arrives so I consider myself to be very fortunate!) Welllll this morning was a bit of a circus, and I— I was the ring leader 🤪. Violet decided to boycott sleep, and the few times she was close to drifting off, one of her older brothers made sure to do something extremely loud a few inches from her face 😜. However, this afternoon we had some semblance of normalcy and sanity (by some miracle the youngest three were even all napping at the same time for a brief period 🙌🏻). All in all—we survived! The first day in my opinion is one of the hardest because it’s new, it’s something you’ve never done before. (Even though this isn’t my first baby, I remind myself that I’ve never been a mom to four kids before). Our family has some exciting news that we wanted to share with our friends. We’ve shared on FB so thought I’d share here as well. 🥰 The McCrary’s are adding two little feet (2 feet/1 baby) to our Clan. 🥰. No, I’m not pregnant- that’s not possible. We are adopting!!! 🥳🥳🥳 This has been prayed about for a long time now and we have just begun the process. We’ve submitted intake papers and waiting on a date for adoption orientation. After that we’ll have a home study and create a digital profile and then wait patiently for a family to select us to be their child’s family. We are doing a private adoption through an agency in Memphis. This is going to take some time and money. A lot of money. Those who want to support us, I ask that you start with prayer. We will all need it through this process. If you’d like to help financially we will be having fundraisers. We are excited, nervous, scared, & so happy! Pure happiness is found in dirty feet, salty hair and best friends that encourage you to be the craziest version of yourself 🫶🏼 We spent the past four days with my mom, my sister and my nephews in a wild camp with limited access to water, where we all slept under one roof and where kids could RUN FREE AND WILD. They had zero screen time, I managed to read a few chapters in a book, one learned to swim, one learned to walk and one grew from toddler to a boy in those 4 days. Me? I got even less sleep, wondering every night why I agreed to this and waking up feeling blessed too early each day. I do however hope I get some rest now, as in a week I need to get them back to another continent and kick start our life there 💛

❀Feeling all the things today as we step into August! The first day of school is just around the corner I get to set up my classroom this month I’ve had the most successful wedding season to date (I’m a wedding photographer when I’m not teaching) my daughter took her first steps yesterday my son just moved into a more independent class for gymnastics and soccer and this momma/teacher/buisness owner is feeling a level of pride I can truthfully say I have never felt for myself before! Even if you don’t feel like what you’ve accomplished is much, you’ve accomplished something that past you aspired to accomplish and that is MORE than enough to be proud of❀

Little monthly update on my journey with @team_round and @jessicaquickfitness as my coach 💪✌ Well this month has been a big mess emotionally as most of you know with all the NDIS bits going on plus school holidays meant appts galore and no specific training BUT I kept to my macros/calories and I'm proud of that 👊 Consistency is the key. Now no I don't mean that you must get it done and perfectly everytime. I mean more don't give up. If I've had a bad day I haven't given in and gone F it, I've kept to my calories set for me and adjusted to allow for that ice cream dessert I really want 😋 I haven't trained in 2 weeks but that doesn't mean I'm not going to bother to start training again. It means I got my butt back into gear yesterday and took 45 mins and trained. And boy did it feel good! I certainly have not been 100% perfect in the last 5 months with Team Round, but I haven't given up. I've learnt to have a balanced life even on a calorie defiect. And after loosing 15 kilos in a healthy and supportive environment I cannot wait to see where the next 5 months gets me 💪 So proud to be a part of Team Round ✌❤ #timetogrowthebooty

8 months🌿 (as of yesterday) Gabe's first tooth popped through last night! He's officially knocked out every milestone except walking without support. I can barely keep up with him.
