몬테인 트레일블레이져32 사용기 지난 주말 몬테인 트레일블레이져32를 메고 북한산 주능선과 의상능선 약 11km정도의 등산을 하고 왔습니다. 날씨가 무척 더웠던 상황이라 반팔과 반바지로 운행을 했네요~ 한줄 요약 하자면... 몸에 착~ 붙는 핏(fit)감은 등산의 피로도를 줄여주고, 어깨끈과 날개 주머니와 연결된 수납공간은 활용도가 굉장히 높은 배낭이었습니다. 같이 간 일행들이 배낭 색깔 예쁘다며 좋아했구요~ 남자분들이 당일 배낭으로 사용하기엔 충분히 넉넉한 용량으로 판단됩니다. 수납공간들이 잘 되어 있어 일반적인 32리터 배낭보다도 더 들어가는 듯한 느낌~ 다음엔 백패킹배낭으로 도전해 볼라구요~ 당일 비화식 배낭으로도 충분할듯 무척 더웠던 날씨였기 때문에... 등판과 어깨끈이 땀에 젖을 정도였지만, 메쉬소재로 되어 있어서 덥다는 느낌을 받진 않았습니다~! One from last week on the Great Napes. This route is called ‘Abbey Buttress’ and started in the quirkiest of places behind a large free standing block. After an awkward kit up we made our way up solid, grippy rock with fine moves and exposure. The one thing you can’t get away from on the napes is the exposure, it’s everywhere but that’s all part of the mountain experience. It leaves you with the most amazing views of the central fells and looking back down toward Wasdale. Photo ops at Hillary Bridge 🇳🇵 📍Hillary Bridge, Namche Bazaar, Nepal. 16.03.2024 Hillary Bridge, the last suspension bridge on the route from Lukla to Namche Bazaar. Named after Sir Edmund Hillary, the first known man to summit Everest, for his summit of Everest with Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and the charity work he devoted his life to afterwards in the Khumbu region. Not only Hillary bridge but also Lukla Airport and many schools in the region are also named after Hillary showing the influence he had in the region. LM40 went pretty well on Saturday and the weather was perfect for a big day out ⛰️⛰️⛰️ The plan was pretty simple: To not get caught up in racing and use it as a solid training run, staying in zone 2 and more than anything to enjoy the day out and not ruin myself for @utlactrail in a few weeks! On the climb out of Askham I was right at the back of the field, I was struggling to keep my heart rate down and I was teetering on my aerobic threshold right from the go so I had to walk a lot of the way upto loadpot hill and high street with some intermittent jogging here and there… After a few hours I slowly began to overtake people and my heart rate settled down a little bit. I don’t think my body responds well to early starts and by lunch time I was feeling pretty good, I think I needed to let my body wake up properly. By the time I got to hellvellyn I didn’t feel like I was in a race anymore, I felt nice and relaxed. I loved trotting down Swirrel edge knowing there was only one little climb left which was place fell and then I’d be on the home straight (literally 😂) Along the way I’d said to myself it would be good to set myself up to be able to actually run the final 10km from howtown without stopping (which I practically did) so I was quite chuffed with that too. The whole day just went really well, the pacing, nutrition, hydration and how I felt in general. Before setting off I had guessed around 9 hours. My coach said 8.5 hours and I finished in 7.5 hours in 5th position so I was pretty chuffed with that! Hopefully it’s good sign of things to come 🙏🏻 Massive thanks to my coach @timpigotthp3 for all the help so far and getting me back to feeling good again. 24.4.21 호남알프스 종주⛰️⛰️⛰️ 가방편 : 몬테인 트레일블레이저 24 - 제품제공 : @montanekorea 몬테인 24SS BACKPACK 체험단에 선정되어 이번 호남알프스 종주는 'Trailblazer 24'와 함께했습니다🙌 [선택 이유☝️] 몬테인 24SS 신상품 중 이 제품을 선택한 이유는 1. 용량 호남알프스처럼 중간 보급이 많이 없는 종주는 평소 주력으로 사용하던 18l 가방으로는 부족하고, 30l대 이상 가방은 필요 이상으로 크고 무겁다고 생각했기 때문 2. 수납 어깨끈에 물통을 넣을 수 있는 형식의 가방을 메보고 싶었고, 평소 후드가 있는 가방을 선호하기 때문 3. 힙 벨트 가방의 무게를 분산해주는 힙 벨트를 중요하게 생각하는 편인데, 간단하게 끈으로만 되어있지 않고 골반을 감싸는 디자인이라 안정감 있을 것이라고 생각했기 때문 --- [사용후기✨️] 1. 무게 가방 자체 무게가 정말 가볍습니다. 모든 포켓은 메쉬 소재를 사용하고, 토르소 조절을 간단하게 할 수 있도록 만들어 놓는 등 가능한 한 무게에 군더더기를 모두 뺀 디자인 입니다. 30l도 무겁진 않을것 같다는 생각이 듭니다. 2. 수납 어깨 끈에 달려있는 포켓에 물과 휴대폰을 넣어 다녔습니다. 메쉬가 쫀쫀하고 잘 늘어나서 일반 생수 500ml 뿐만 아니라 날진 500ml 물병도 알맞게 들어갔습니다. 입구에 지퍼가 있다보니 휴대폰을 한손으로 넣고 빼기 어려운 점은 아쉽지만, 암릉 구간등에서 지퍼를 닫아버리면 몸을 앞으로 숙여도 휴대폰이 빠질 일이 없기 때문에 장단점이 있는 것 같습니다. 생각지도 못한 큰 장점은 바로 사이드 포켓이었습니다. 사이드 포켓이 힙 벨트까지 연결되어 큰 물건도, 작은 물건도 넣기 좋았습니다. 예를 들어 보조배터리에 휴대폰을 충전하면서 사이드에 넣고 다니다가 충전이 다 되면 허리벨트에 달린 지퍼를 열어 휴대폰만 간편하게 뺄 수 있습니다. 3. 힙 벨트 골반을 감싸는 부분이 너무 얇아서 무게 분산을 잘 해줄 수 있을지 걱정했는데, 오히려 움직임에 방해없이 부드럽게 감싸줘서 좋았습니다. 반복되는 마찰 때문에 쓸려서 상처날 일이 없다는 점이 마음에 듭니다. 짐이 좀 더 무거울 땐 어떨지 궁금하네요. 덧붙여서 어깨끈이 넓고, 가슴끈도 두줄이라 안정적이고 무게 분산이 잘 됩니다. 19시간 동안 46km 산행하면서 어깨와 등의 피로가 크게 느껴지지 않았습니다. 4. 기타 - 어깨끈에 소품걸이가 양쪽에 다 있고 고무줄로 되어있어서 손수건을 메달아 다니기 편했습니다. - 토르소 길이 조절이 간편하다는 건, 어차피 한번 맞춰놓으면 조절할 일은 잘 없기 때문에 별거 아니라 생각했는데 생각보다 유용했습니다. 틀려도 번거롭지 않게 다시 수정할 수 있으니까 길이를 여러번 수정하면서 세밀하게 맞췄습니다. - 스틱을 거는 부분은 한쪽에만 있고 약해서 Z폴 형식 스틱만 걸 수 있습니다. 저는 스크류 방식이라 사용하지 못했습니다. 스틱이 중심을 못잡고 자꾸 가로로 누워버리더라구요. 종주 때는 처음부터 끝까지 스틱을 사용하기 때문에 딱히 문제는 없었는데, 하산할 때만 사용하는 일반산행 시에는 스틱 보관이 좀 불편할 것 같습니다. --- ⭐️총평⭐️ 용량이 적당하고 꼭 필요한 수납이 많아서 집 앞 살방 산행부터 장거리 종주까지, 사계절 내내 사용 가능합니다. 이런 가방 하나만 있어도 웬만한 산행은 다 커버가 되니까 일당백이네요. 앞으로 길고 짧은 산행, 여러 계절에 걸쳐서 함께할텐데 쓰다보면 또 어떤 매력이 있을지 기대됩니다. #Montane #몬테인 #mymontane #마이몬테인 #등산가방

Barely a breath of wind and for the most part, it felt very warm. Absolutely loved this walk starting from Kinlochleven. The Mamores are a particularly special place for me… It is where I experienced my first ever scramble and it’s where I first experienced real alpine winter conditions. UTFS 2024 / Bayerische trail Meisterschaft. Tolle Veranstaltung mit richtig geilem Wetter und mal wieder richtig geilen Leuten. Eine Rechnung war vom letzten Jahr noch offen, als ich mir hier den ermüdungsbruch holte. Also, nochmal auf den Campingplatz einnisten und die 66km abspulen. @trailrunningschool hat ihn als Zone 1 Dauerlauf mit einer Zielzeit von 9h30 geplant. Zum Schluss lief es ein bisschen besser und die Form zeigt in die richtige Richtung. Mit 8h20 und einer durchgehend laufenden Performance war es ein toller Lauf für den Rennsteig und das Saisonziel Zut100. Coros hat ein neues monitoring rausgebracht, das erlaubt dem Trainer die Uhr auf seinem Rechner abzuspiegeln. Great day out running the last stretch of UTS. Saw lots of runners recceing the route. Not really felt the need to do any recces myself, after finishing the 100k last year. Upon moving to Askham last week I realised that the @nav4adventure LM40 race was on this week 😬 It’s abit close to another race but you only live once, it would be a shame to not do a 40 mile race that starts and finishes 30 seconds from the front door -so iv taken a last minute entry 😃. Iv done it twice before many years ago. It’s a stunning route starting in Askham and it’s up to you how you get to the checkpoints which are, loadpot hill, high street, angle tarn, patterdale, grisedale tarn, helvellyn, patterdale, place fell, howtown and then back to Askham. Even though it’s the British Trail Championships middle distance race, I’ll be taking it easy, using it as nothing but a solid training run (no taper etc) staying strictly within zone 2 and enjoying the day out ⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️ The aim of the day is to enjoy myself, have a big day out and finish, with not having done too much damage. As autumn hits, the weather becomes more and more unpredictable. This means there are extra opportunities for magnificent early evening sunsets and at times, a chance to see beautiful snow-capped hills, but it also means you need to be a bit savvier about your trip! ⁠ ⁠ Here are our 5 Top Tips for Cooler Weather Camping: ⁠ ⁠ ⛺️ Plan your visit ahead of time. It gets darker earlier, so you'll need to set off earlier than in the warmer months and know how long it's gonna take you to get to your campsite. ⁠ ⁠ ⛺️ Get the right kit. Make sure you have lots of good layering pieces to keep you warm and dry. Make sure your sleeping bag and tent are going to keep you protected and warm enough for the lowest temperature you're going to experience. ⁠ ⁠ ⛺️ Stock up on supplies. A hot drink, a hot meal and lots of high reward snacks are going to keep you fueled and happy in the cooler weather.⁠ ⁠ ⛺️ Stay safe. The weather can be very changeable, so make sure you check before you go and be ready to turn around if it becomes dangerous and always tell someone where you're going before setting out and when you will be back. This skills day is aimed solely at beginners or road runners who are new to running off road and are looking to become more savvy on the trails or in the mountains or are wanting to enter a difficult ultra marathon or maybe all 3?! This is not a group run at pace it’s a skills day. If your lacking in skills and confidence and want to brush up on the basics then this day is just for you - you are the people that will benefit from this day 😀 The day will be coached 1:4 so there are only 4 places available.
