I fell in love with this place when we stayed here in February and now I really want to move in! The perfect base in Ballycastle for exploring along the Causeway Coast & Glens. We had a glorious walk from Ballintoy to White Park Bay on Saturday and short Sunday stroll at Ballycastle Beach. Its TRIG TUESDAY ⛰️ On Sunday I bagged a trig!! Apparently, there are 103 in Wiltshire. From research I think this is TP5973... according to 'Trig Pointing UK' its ranked 3512th with 31 other trigs, so nothing amazing about it... 😂 It is, however, a pretty easy one to get to, you can actually drive very close and just walk a short distance. We didn't though, it was part of our lovely Sunday stroll with the dogs. There is also a field of Highland coos nearby, which is always fab to see on Salisbury Plain. I have also discovered that there is a 'Wiltshire Trig Bagger Challenge Logbook'. Alex is thrilled I have found this and am now contemplating getting it to bag them all 🤣🤣. 📍Budleigh Salterton & Exmouth, Devon Found a great site just over a mile from Budleigh town/beach. Facilities were amazing, although I did feel £16 for the dogs was steep, considering there were no facilities for them. We caught the bus into Exmouth and spent the day there. Pups ran on the beach, and we had a lovely crab sarnie lunch. Easter weekend adventures 🐣 Been an adventful trip so far! Drive down yesterday was challenging, poor driving conditions due to rain and standing water! Took a 30 min detour to go via Go Outdoors and get an awning strip to connect to the fiamma. Arrived on site to a grass pitch, others in a VW had to be towed to their pitch... Fortunately, Indys 4motion got us in... if it keeps raining, we may not get out 🤣. Attempt to set up the awning.. already has the right connection, so didn't need the detour! Connected said awning only to find one of the air poles has a leak!! Managed to stop hubby dragging it to the nearest bin.. 🙈 The weather is trying to be kind, but the rain is persistent! Hotel anyone?! 😂😂 It's a lovely site though and we are looking forward to exploring over the next few days.
