Czy popularna książka zawsze musi się podobać? 🗡 BEZSILNA 🗡 @laurenrobertslibrary @wydawnictwo_uroboros współpraca reklamowa Myślę, że gdyby nie wielkie ochy i achy wokół tej książki to miałabym mniejsze oczekiwania wobec niej i by mi się spodobała bardziej. Podczas lektury czułam bezsilność. Kocham motyw turnieju, czekałam na niego a finalnie był on bardzo słabo i skąpo napisany. Nawet podczas jednego z etapów turnieju zamiast jakiś emocji była scena romantyczna, która zdominowała wszystko. Jakby wyciąć sceny romantyczne może z 40 stron byłoby akcji. Bo ta książka aż kipi relacją romantyczną, która była tak bardzo oczywista, że aż głupia momentami. Książę zamiast skupić się na turnieju, który ma wygrać rozmyślał tylko o tym, co robi z nim główna bohaterka. Relacja ta była schematyczna, nierealna i płytka. Wątek zdrady, butuntu był okej, dobrze się to czytało. Turniej był opisany po macoszemu. Czuć momentami powiew Igrzysk Śmierci (robienie show przez bohaterkę, niskie pochodzenie), HP i Czary Ognia (bal przed turniejem, magiczny labirynt), podobny wątek buntu też już gdzieś spotkałam. Czymś nowym były posiadane przez ludzi moce. Przydałoby się lepsze i szersze ich opisanie. Takiego stężenia romantasy dawno nie spotkałam i aż mi za słodko było. Bo naprawdę mało co się tam dzieje, poza paraboliczną relacją bohaterów, jego wzdychaniem i jej narzekaniem. Miałam za duże oczekiwania. Chciałam trudnieju, bo zdecydowanie wolę akcję od romansu. Ta książka może się podobać, może bawić i rozczulać. Ale nie mnie. Jeszcze słówko o zakończeniu. Było mocne, ale jednocześnie powodowało więcej chaosu niż było w planie. No nie. Wydanie książki za to jest piękne. Ve lo dico così: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cinque stelline meritatissime per questo libro di CoHo edito @sperlingkupfer - l'ho letto in una sola notte perché non riuscivo a metterlo giù, e ho pianto tantissimo. Ma davvero tantissimo. Perché la storia di Kenna è cruda, crudele, senza veli e tutt'altro che addolcita. È una di quelle storie in cui prima ti ritrovi a disprezzarla, poi la comprendi, poi speri per lei, perché finalmente abbia il finale che si merita - e sì, ha fatto uno sbaglio enorme, ma è dipinta (come sempre fa la Hoover, che ci regala personaggi imperfetti e umani) come una giovane donna consapevole di aver sbagliato, una donna che vorrebbe ricominciare e che è pronta a chiedere perdono, a sudare e a fare la cosa giusta. Per sé, per Scotty, e per Diem. Soprattutto per Diem. E ora, inaspettatamente, anche per Ledger... il miglior amico di Scotty. Ok, NON aspettatevi un triangolo amoroso perché NON c'è. Però aspettatevi tanta rabbia, tanto dolore, tanta fragilità. Questo libro trasuda umanità da ogni pagina, cosa che fa arrivare i personaggi dritti al cuore (sì, tutti!). Ho amato ogni singola parola di questo libro, anche le più difficili. Grazie, CoHo, per averci regalato l'ennesimo capolavoro! 💙

Ringrazio con tutto il cuore la CE, Triskell edizioni, per la copia ARC che mi ha permesso di leggere in anteprima questo terzo volume della Renee. «Le stelle hanno scelto te, Adara Achlys. Sei sempre stata tu.» Parto dalla cosa che meno mi ha entusiasmata: questo libro è breve. Intendiamoci, non è una novella, tutt’altro, ma avrei tanto voluto fosse più lungo (soprattutto nel finale!). Per il resto, è un libro stupendo. I volumi NON si leggono singolarmente e per comprendere gli avvenimenti descritti in questo terzo libro dovete necessariamente aver letto i due precedenti, ma se avete conosciuto Evren e Adara non è possibile rimanere indifferenti alla loro storia e non voler proseguire con la lettura! Mi sono confrontata con altri lettori e, se una critica che è stata mossa è stata la presenza minima delle descrizioni dello stato emotivo di Adara quando è prigioniera di Gavril, il fratello di Evren corrotto dalla sete di potere, io non concordo: le descrizioni sono calibrate, ma decisamente potenti. Altra critica che non comprendo è per la notevole quantità di scene spicy: è un romantasy, ovvio che siano presenti (soprattutto nella seconda parte del libro, il blocco centrale)! Se lo spicy non vi dà fastidio, amerete questo terzo volume (a mio avviso molto più bello del secondo!) «Ti ho cercata in mille vite, principessa, e ti cercherò in mille altre.» Una cosa che ho apprezzato moltissimo sono i diversi POV, che mi hanno permesso di calarmi ancora di più nella storia, quasi fino a viverla in prima persona. È una storia che si conferma ricca di emozioni, piena di magia, dove una starblessed è contesa tra fae e vampiri. Adara finalmente qui scopre tutto il proprio potenziale, ma nel libro ci troviamo ad affrontare non solo gioie e amore, ma anche dolore e sacrificio. “Qualunque cosa fosse accaduta, Evren era la mia casa e avrei fatto tutto il possibile per proteggerla, come sapevo che avrebbe fatto lui."
