Earlier I got to finish my time with XB Sweat and Sculpt led by Andrea Rogers and I have to say that this was a lot of fun to work with! I have gotten used to the dance cardio moves presented but the Pilates portions of the workouts using either the resistance loops or ankle weights are what really defined who I am as a fitness enthusiast! The day I began, I got to measure in a 156 inches all around and weigh in at 133 lbs. Today, I lost 1 pound and 2 inches, but the important thing was the hard work I put into making my body summer ready, like I always do! Thank you, Andrea for letting me tap in my inner Pilates experience and introducing me to your favorite dance cardio moves that makes me feel like I am a party! #xbsweatandsculpt #fitnessphotos #pilates #dancecardio

3 weeks ago (left picture) I forced myself to try something new. After struggling the entire month of January with finding my groove, I forced myself to try a program that I was putting off. Truth time, I was putting it off because I thought I was too good for it. I’m a weights girl. Give me heavy weights and I’m happy as a clam. So the thought that Pilates would challenge me made me laugh. Until I was still in a funk with my favorite weights. My body was begging for something new. So I gave in. And I was HUMBLED very quickly. I found a new way to test my body. To challenge my mobility. And a new way to have FUN in a workout. In 3 weeks, I might have only lost 1 pound but I GAINED the love of a new program. So much love that I’m starting a second round of this again on Monday to really challenge myself. Remind me to never take 3 weeks off again! It’s like starting all over again. If you like barre, you’ve gotta try xtend barre with @andrealeighrogers I started it when it was on the Openfit app. They merged with beach body last year. I love it because now I can access all of the beach body workouts as well. Though I usually stick to Andrea’s workouts. She also has Pilates and another program called sweat and sculpt which combines cardio, dance, barre and Pilates. I love that one too! It’s been about 2 years now and I’m still loving it! This is the longest I’ve ever consistently stayed on a workout routine (give or take a week, or 3 here and there) Proud of myself! IYKYK. But it’s definitely one of the most fun routines, and definitely brought all the sparkle!💖 lots of energy in this one! And even though I did not have all the energy when I first got up this morning, I did after doing this! I probably finished S&S at about this time last year, and today rocked my challenge tank, which was the last one “Beachbody” gave out! Especially excited knowing that the SUPER BLOCK finally starts in T minus 4 dayssssss!! 😆 If I can wait… they usually release on Saturday at noon… so imma have to hold myself back from starting early 😬 so excited to get into this program!! She promised we would be humbled… so a mix of excitement and terror all at once! 🤣 But I know it will be effective, because she never makes anything that isn’t!! Then did a little 5er action for the extra core work with Megan… not realizing how much would be in those planks I’ve been avoiding this week because of my arm… so we shall see how it feels tomorrow, oh well either way… all the core fire 🔥 in just 5 little minutes! Hit a little Sweat action for my upper body, and then a couple of 5ers! All about the core work and these plank challenges! Woohoo! 🎉 Danced into TueSlay, I forgot about how much fun this dance is! So it was a good one and fun to get into to get some heart pump! This program just amps you up with joy! 💗 So Always a good beginning or end to a day! Then onto my 5ers, did the plank challenge first, and this wasn’t easier than the first time! But it’s good work I like this one, she has good variations and not all in high plank which is hard for my wrist and hand, though my hands been a whiny little B all afternoon, but this too shall pass. It’s a gift to be able to move at all!! 🩵 Then a little extra core wrok with Justin to see what this was all about, not quite as hard as the Chelsea Hill one. But tough work nonetheless! I know I'm not the only one who finds lack of motivation a shitty part of this peri-menopause journey. 'You know you're only really happy when you are leaping about in front of the telly' A direct quote from my husband when I talked about how I was feeling He's not wrong but finding the motivation to get my gear on, log into my streaming service, find something to do and then actually do it.... well it all seemed like too much effort recently So today I decided to make that effort I feel GREAT ! XB sweat and Sculpt with Andrea Rogers is so much fun. Some choreographic moves to decent music tracks. Some barre positions (that will have my butt screaming all day) And some stretching 32mins = sweaty mess but the endorphin rush is awesome The program is 5 days a week for 3 weeks, 30mins a day.... its all really doable if i can keep my moods in check. Très fière de vous dire qu'hier j'ai terminé mon 1er programme post-accouchement! 🥳 Programme sur 3 semaines, 5 jours/semaine, 30 minutes par entrainement! Certains vont peut-être penser que 30 minutes c'est rien, mais au contraire! Les entrainements sont créés afin d'être optimal en 30 minutes! Pas besoin de sortir de chez moi (parfait avec un nouveau né), court dans le temps (30 minutes = 2% de ta journée), nécessite peu d'équipements (mais tu peux t'en procurer plus, si tu désires te challenger), pis tu sues en masse!! J'adore ma formule!!! Aujourd'hui je prends off d'entrainement et demain je commence un nouveau programme! Lequel? I’m determined to catch up and finish strong with all the ladies who are in the challenge too! I WILL catch up and finish because I’m determined to do so! I love these Xtend Barre Challenges! Such a fun way to mix up my favorite programs and the kind of work that seems to work best for MY BODY at this stage in life! #TueSlay #playingcatchup #xtendbarre #TripleThreatChallenge #betterlatethannever #legs1 and #hitthemat1 #day2 and #day3 #week1 I was so excited to try #chopwoodcarrywater and also for this challenge! I thought I could possibly pull off doing both at the same time but the #CWCW workouts were typically too long for me to stack another 30 min on and still be ready for work so usually just did an express or core work as an add on… I already wake at 4:30 to get it in, if I wake any earlier, we’ll I don’t know, but I do know I’m not doing that! 🤣 This is three of my favorite programs rolled into one!! For sure where my body is it’s happiest is at the barre, doing Pilates, and the dancing in #sweatandsculpt is such good work while also cranking my joy levels up to an 11! Working with Andrea is my favorite! She’s so good at know what to say and when to say it, and helping with mind- body connection! So I’m so happy to be back in these! Most of the ladies doing this challenge are on their 2nd or 3rd week so I’m behind, but I do an hour in the morning, so I can stack ‘em since they’re only 30 minutes each! And even if I don’t catch up, well, at least I did it, loved it (because I always do), and completed it! Which is more than a lot of people can say!
