🌜👦🏻 tome 2 de la saga all saints high : broken knight de @authorljshen 👧🏽🌛 on retrouve le fils de Dean et Rosie et la fille de Trent : Knight et Luna. ✨ Knight et Luna se connaissent depuis toujours, ils ont toujours été l’un avec l’autre, ils ont grandi l’un avec l’autre, ils sont devenu des enfants - puis des ado - puis des adultes l’un avec l’autre. ils sont meilleurs amis depuis leur enfance. sans que personne n’ose le dire, ils sont amoureux depuis la première seconde, mais ils ne savent pas le gérer.🌪️🤞 Knight a une peur bleue de l’abandon - et à juste titre - il a évidemment peur que Luna l’abandonne. il ne montre ses sentiments, ses émotions. il s’autodétruit plutôt que d’affronter sa réalité, sa mère, le fait que Luna lui brise le cœur en brisant leur pacte secret et le fait qu’il va se venger et lui briser le cœur à son tour, même si depuis qu’ils sont enfants, il brûle le monde pour la protéger. Шен "Розбитий лицар" Книжка, яка однозначно підійшла до тематики нашого книжкового клубу, але сподобалася не всім, бо так хотілося, що герої нарешті поговорили 😁 Це як "Беверлі-Гіллз 90210", але жорсткіше. Багатий район, мажорна школа і купа демонів в дітисьок при грошах. Хороший варіант для тих, хто спіймав нечитуна. І тих, хто хоче пережити багато емоцій за 400+ сторінок. І тих, хто хоче побіситися через вчинки персонажів. От до третіх я і належу. Відчула себе вредною тіткою, яка не хоче вже драми 😁 Іноді просто треба говорити про те, що відчуваєш. Хоча б жестами чи що, бо вийде отаке, де наче й друзі, наче й ні, і взагалі ніхто нікого не розуміє... Не думала, що скажу це після "І де був той розум?..", але Дарка - голос здорового глузду і рольова модель. Чекала на кожну її появу. А ще наліпила стікерів з сентенціями від батьків оцих двох чуд. А що робить? Зате відпочила добре з цим читанням. rating-5/5⭐️ book review- Broken Knight By LJ Shen🧡🌙💐 Get your tissues prepared!!! This book is an emotional roller coaster! Broken Knight is way more than just a romance book. LJ makes you feel so deeply about the characters. Broken Knight follows are FMC Luna and MMC Knight Luna and Knight were childhood friends, who were always there for one another. Until one day Luna leaves for college and everything changes… While Lunas gone Knight is struggling with demons of his own, will they be able to overcome there struggles to come together or is it too late for them. Plot- This book will make you scream, cry, laugh.,blush. All of the emotions! Seeing what Knight is going through and slowly watching him self destruct is self is heart breaking! I wish I could give him a hug most of the book. Same with Luna, she is mute after a tragic event, she has never been on her own without her family or Knight until she leaves for college. Seeing her grow as a shy little girl to this independent women was amazing to see! Don’t get me started on the end… balled like a baby😭. I have never cried about a book so much in my life. Romance- The romance was everything! Luna and Knight care so deeply about each other, they have been obsessed with each other since they were 3 years old. Even though they had many bumps along the way you can tell they have an unconditional kind of love. Watching Luna pick up Knights broken pieces and being there for him was just.🥹They had a very tough journey in the book, at times I wanted to cry for them, but at the end of the day they always knew they were meant for each other🥹🫶🏼 “ride or dies”✨ Overall this book is so beautiful. I definitely recommend this and the rest of the All Saints High series! Sorry if the review is vague, alot happens in the book and I don’t want to give anything away. Sapevo già che avrei amato Knight con tutta me stessa come Dean ed è stato amore a prima vista. Ero già conscia del fatto che avrei trovato qualcosa di profondo e indimenticabile in questo romanzo,un rapporto che va contro ogni logica, oltre tutto. Non vi nego che ho stoppato la lettura in più punti perché Broken mi ha letteralmente distrutto in minuscoli pezzi e mi ha dilaniato l’anima, ma vi posso assicurare che ogni lacrima che ho versato ha fatto sì che questo romanzo sia per me indimenticabile e non cambierei nulla anche se ho sofferto parecchio. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Questo è il secondo volume della All saints, e qui ritroviamo Knight e Luna e conosciamo meglio il loro rapporto speciale. Io vi consiglio vivamente di recuperare la saga principale, per immergervi ancora di più e capire alcune dinamiche e rapporti che vengono ripresi in questo romanzo. Luna soffre di mutismo selettivo e la vive la sua vita in una bolla dalla quale fa fatica ad uscire, è se stessa soltanto in compagnia di Knight, che da sempre la protegge e prova un amore smisurato per lei. Knight è il cavaliere che nasconde dentro di sé un animo tormentato, la star del liceo che fa di tutto per far parlare di sé nonostante abbia in testa una sola ed unica persona,𝙇𝙐𝙉𝘼. Il loro rapporto è un susseguirsi di alti e bassi,ma il loro legame è talmente profondo che decidono di cambiare e migliorare per tener fede alla promessa che si sono fatti anni prima 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙚𝙢𝙚 𝙤 𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚. Questa è una storia forte, profonda, che mi ha veramente devastata,non voglio dilungarmi troppo perché il rischio di spoiler è alto, sappiate solo che ritroverete personaggi di cui ero già profondamente innamorata,che saranno parte integrante della storia e vi lasceranno senza parole. BOOK REVIEW 🎀: Tropes and Rating + Blurb + Quotes Author: @authorljshen Main Characters: Luna Rexroth and Knight Cole. This is a story of Luna and Knight who are childhood best friends and neighbors and love each other immensely yet fails to see that the other reciprocates the same feelings! It was hard to see Knight losing two most important women in his life —one his mother due to her illness and another his love, Luna— and turning to alcohol, self destruction. On the other hand Luna have always hide behind Knight for protection but now she is becoming her own person, finding herself and although it was good to see her character development it felt a little too unrealistic because it happens way too fast. My heart completely broke for Dean and Rosie. It was so hard to read the last chapters and saying goodbye to Rosie. Knight and Luna are like puzzle pieces who are meant to be together but just don't know how to rotate the piece to complete the puzzle. One of the few things that I didn't liked about this book is that there was no time to breath a sigh of relief because something was always happening and I really wish we got more of Luna and Knight actually being together instead of all the angst. The book is full of it, the angst, the drama, the emotions and the heartbreaks. But I also think you're going to love it! I'm not going to lie but the first time I read this book, I didn't cry much and it was a 3 ⭐ read for me BUT after a re-read I change my ratings to 4 ⭐ and I cried a lot. Like a lot lot! My heart felt too heavy for me to carry at times. Overall, this book is a perfect reminder that tomorrows aren't promised, you never know when's the last time you're seeing someone so we must live and grasp every moment we can with the ones we love and well life keeps on moving and pieces do fall together! Vorrei dire semplicemente “post muto”, proprio come la protagonista, ma due paroline questo libro se le merita tutte. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Knight e Luna: già lo sapevamo, già lo sentivamo. Chi conosce i luoghi in cui è ambientato il libro, il mondo che è stato (ed è) degli Hot Holes e Todos Santos, sa. Rispettivamente sono i figli di Dean Cole - Ruckus - e Trent Rexroth - Scandalous. Lui, un vero cavaliere di nome e di fatto ma uno di quelli che le macchie le hanno eccome, anche se son bravi a nasconderle tanto quanto il cuore fragile e dolce. Lei, Raggio di Luna, un personaggio che mi ha incuriosito sin dalla sua prima apparizione e non mi ha deluso: un bocciolo che è cresciuto e poi diventato un magnifico fiore. Dapprima sostenuta dal suo immancabile protettore, poi da sola, forte e indipendente. Broken non è il classico best friends to lovers, ci sono fatti ed eventi che sconvolgono le vite dei protagonisti e rimettono in ballo tutto, sempre e forse per sempre. A fine lettura posso dire di avere il cuore un po' più pesante, anche se temevo di peggio, è quel senso di “pienezza” che si ha dopo aver letto qualcosa di intenso, duro, che non poteva non far breccia nel cuore, eppure alla fine ti libera. The number of times I went from being angry to sad to happy throughout this novel was unbelievable.This novel demonstrated the need of cherishing each moment we have with our loved ones and keeping them close. The two characters Knight and Luna, childhood best friends, both characters have so much growth throughout the entire book. Knight hides behind the perfect mask, punishing himself with his love for Luna. Luna takes mature, tough decisions for them both, which aren't always well welcomed but are always necessary. It is a story of hope and healing. It is about broken kids finding their way to each other during the difficult teen years when you are just trying to figure out who you are. A message I noticed is, as long as you are surrounded by the people you care about, there is always hope for a brighter day ahead. Life always goes on, even in the darkest times when we don't want to. Io lo sapevo. Sapevo perfettamente che questo libro mi avrebbe distrutta. Eppure non ero pronta. L.J. Shen l’ha fatto di nuovo. Mi ha di nuovo fatta innamorare perdutamente dei suoi personaggi e delle sue storie. Ma con Broken ha fatto anche altro. È andata a scavare nel profondo del mio cuore andando a ripescare tutti i sentimenti che avevo provato leggendo Ruckus e Scandalous (tra l’altro i miei preferiti della serie) disarmandomi completamente. Fare una recensione di questo libro senza fare spoiler è difficile, perciò mi limiterò a dire che quest’autrice continua a non smentirsi. In Broken la sua penna appare più tagliente che mai. Sapete quanto ho amato la The Saints Series, e se vogliamo oltre che degli spin off, i libri della All Saints High sono dei veri e proprio sequel. Per me è meraviglioso conoscere i personaggi sotto tutti questi punti di vista. Rivedere le storie dei miei protagonisti preferiti dagli occhi dei loro figli. Conoscerli sotto altre vesti e in circostanze nuove. Knight e Luna sono forse i personaggi piu difficili da comprendere di tutti i libri. Hanno caratteri e atteggiamenti complessi e il più delle volte fanno uscire il fumo dalle orecchie dalla rabbia. Sono sicuramente i più fragili ma allo stesso tempo medaglia d’oro in costruzione di corazze impenetrabili. Non sono quei protagonisti di cui ti innamori subito, ma sono quelli che a fine lettura ti rimangono di più dentro. Senza ombra di dubbio. Io prego che L.J. Shen continui a darmi spezzoni di loro perché non potrò mai averne abbastanza. E prego che il prossimo libro della All Saints High (sul figlio di Emilia e Vicious) esca presto anche qui in Italia 🖤 Ah e non l’ho specificato ma ovviamente negli spin off ci sono spoiler, quindi vi consiglio di leggerli in ordine! “Broken. Senza paura” di L.j. Shen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️/5 TRAMA: Luna Rexroth e Knight Cole sono amici d’infanzia, vicini e complici; hanno un legame indissolubile. Chiunque si aspetta di vederli insieme come coppia: l’affascinante star del liceo Knight che difende la dolce e determinata Luna per via del suo mutismo selettivo. Knight sa perfettamente quello che prova per Luna e cerca in qualsiasi modo di comunicarglielo, ma qualcosa gioca a loro sfavore: fraintendimenti, maschere e segreti. Finiranno per farsi del male a vicenda ed è proprio qui che Luna vuole prendere in mano la sua vita e diventare autonoma mentre Knight entra in una spirale autodistruttiva anche a causa di un fatto che stravolgerà la vita dei protagonisti. Entrambi, però, ricordano la promessa che si sono fatti per restare uniti: 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙚𝙢𝙚 𝙤 𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚. Solo così potranno superare le avversità e riuscire ad avere il loro lieto fine. Cosa ne penso? 🌙🌪️ Come avete notato dalle stelle che ho dato per me questo libro è un super SÌ. Forse sarò di parte perché leggerei qualsiasi cosa scrivesse la Shen, ma questo libro mi ha fatta ridere, piangere, imprecare, amare e piangere ancora insieme ai protagonisti. Ho amato rivedere i personaggi della serie principale, ma allo stesso tempo ne sono uscita distrutta. Il miglioramento dei personaggi è la cosa che mi piace di più dei libri dell’autrice, perché in ogni suo libro fa capire come dei personaggi complicati, travagliati e con i loro difetti o che abbiano dipendenze riescano ad andare avanti e superare gli ostacoli. Knight e Dean ne sono l’esempio; ha trattato l’argomento in maniera impeccabile. Ici on découvre le beau Knight, l’enfant adoptif de Dean et Rosie Cole mais aussi de Luna, fille de Trent. 🚲On voit la timide Luna du début du roman s’ouvrir peu à peu aux autres, à Knight et s’épanouir pour devenir celle qu’elle décide d’être et s’affirmer enfin ! 🚲Knight, un personnage sombre, solitaire parfois, mesquin mais aussi hyper attachant, tendre, tellement amoureux et maladroit ! A quel punto tocca a Luna essere la sua ancora di salvezza, tocca a lei tirarlo fuori dai suoi casini e dimostrargli che sono sempre stati solo loro due. Ma Knight dopo una vita ad essere respinto da lei sarà disposto a mettere da parte tutto il loro vissuto e ricominciare da capo per tornare ad essere quel ragazzo che desidera Luna? Tornare a Todos Santos è stato un po’ come tornare a casa. Ho amato così tanto questo libro per tutte le emozioni che mi ha fatto provare. Un mix di sentimenti e stati d’animo che mi hanno portata anche alle lacrime (inevitabili ad un certo punto) La penna di LJ Shen è sempre meravigliosa e questo libro vi spezzerà il cuore per poi rimettervi insieme i pezzi.

Shen finisce sempre allo stesso modo. Mi innamoro dei protagonisti, della loro storia personale, del loro rapporto, è poi non riesco a togliermeli dalla testa. BROKEN senza paura, è il secondo volume auto conclusivo della serie All Saints High. È un libro che entra nell’anima senza convenevoli, ti prende e ti rivolta come un calzino, rendendo il tuo cuore una poltiglia. Un racconto intenso, travolgente, vero, dove il tormento e l’oscurità si mescolano alla guarigione e alla speranza, dando vita a una storia che lascia un segno indelebile. Le parole non bastano per descrivere questo romanzo, l’unica cosa che bisogna fare è leggerlo e viverlo a 360 gradi. L.J.Shen non si smentisce mai, i libri che scrive sono uno più bello dell’altro e i suoi personaggi… semplicemente perfetti. Sarei una folle se non vi consigliassi questa lettura. 📖 Knight Cole è popolare, carismatico, sportivo, attraente, con una personalità esplosiva. Avevo già conosciuto l’amore che Knight provava per Luna nel primo libro della serie, ma è diventato sempre più bello e profondo man mano che andavo avanti con le pagine di questo volume. Luna per Knight prova invece amore e incomprensione perché non riesce proprio a scavare sotto la facciata di dongiovanni che si è costruito ma che in realtà non è vera. Il dramma è tanto. Forte. Brutto soprattutto per chi ha letto la serie principale. Non si superq, la tristezza che ho addosso è indescrivibile. Scritto benissimo, scorrevole, con personaggi realistici, umani che commettono errori. Lo spicy c’è, ma non è esagerato. Io sinceramente non vedo l’ora di leggere altri 3000 libri di questa donna e datemi ssssubito quello su Vaughn vi prego! 5⭐️

Broken Knight by L.J Shen ✨️ Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Childhood friends to lovers with all of the angst. “Moonshine,” he whispered. “You fill up the empty, dark space—like the moon owns the sky. It is quiet. It is bright. It doesn’t need to be a ball of flame to be noticed. It simply exists. It forever glows.” I really enjoyed Knight and Luna's story. This one was very emotional and made me shed some tears. Broken Knight was better than Pretty Reckless for me because I liked this couple a whole lot more. I am glad that you got updates from the characters in the 1st book, though. I'm really liking this series so far and L.J Shen's writing! 👌

Their main focus is being mad about Dean and Dixie leaning into one another and I just don’t feel that’s right because this is not even their story. If people are so mad about two older characters Learning to lean on one another then you have your priorities all wrong because the main point of the story is for Bailey and Lev. Bailey and Lev’s story is truly heartbreaking and deals with friendship and love and loss and grief and addiction and healing. I loved seeing all of our interconnecting people from the other series of sinners of saint, and all saints high. Love their families …. And if you’ve ever had to face addiction or face living or helping an addict then you know this is not an easy task. It is hard, it is rough, it is very hurtful and stressful. Broken Knight 💛🧡 - Book Review Swipe for a book playlist and Pinterest board 🤗 My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 (at time of read - subject to change after finishing the series) Genres: Fiction, Contemporary, Romance Moods: Emotional, Sad, Childhood Friends to Lovers Reading Speed: Medium-Paced My Review: I have a mixed review on this one. I was honestly super excited for this book after getting hints of Luna and Knight in Pretty Reckless and the beginning of the book started off super strong. Overally, I did enjoy their story but it definitely was aggravating to read, particularly about Knight, certain parts of the book. I am torn because I kind of think the point is that you are rooting for Knight and Luna but hate Knight at times and I feel like it’s also a testament to good writing that these emotions came across. I will say though, I still enjoyed their story and I was absolutley crying through parts of this book. I will be continuing this series and I’m excited to see where Vaughn’s story is taken in the next book. (I’m also scared to circle back to the parents’ books now knowing what happens in this one...if you know you know) Have you read this one yet?

I know I'm smiling in this picture, but this book made me SOB. Ugly cry. Gasping for air. Wanted to throw up. "Broken Knight" by LJ Shen Book 2 in the All Saints Series "My heart broke, not because I was sad, but because it swelled so much at the sight of you, I needed more space in it." Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶🌶 This book stole a piece of my heart. It was written so well & was one I could not stop thinking about before, during & while reading. I was so emotional. There was some heavy stuff happening. It was so so angsty. But not the kind that made me throw the book. It was the kind that had me just gasping & turning the pages so fast. I was so engrossed in this story. I felt all the feelings alongside the characters. The characters themselves. Ughhh. Luna - she was just. I don't even have the words. I just wanted to hug her. Knight was actually so so freaking sweet. And I melted. They were written so so well. They truly had such a special bond & I am just 😫😫😫 over it. They deserve the world. That's the kind of love we all strive for. Knights mom & that side story. Omg. You guys. I couldn't breathe. You know Knights a good man because of how he treated his mom. 🥹 I did not want this story to be over. So much depth. So much love. So much just everything. It has left a mark on my heart. I have a feeling this series will become a favorite of mine!! 🧡𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖🧡 Although main characters are Knight and Luna, for me Dean and Rosie story is equally important and emotional, so basically there are 2 books in 1. Yes of course the book has a happy end, but with a very bitter taste. 𝙇𝙪𝙣𝙖 We’ve already met her in Scandalous as a little girl, and at the beginning here we can see that she hasn’t changed at all. But throughout the book, we watch her come out of the shell, turning from an insecure child into a woman who knows what she wants and fights for it. Yes, some of her actions were controversial and lacked logic, but who doesn’t behave like that at the age of 18-19? 𝙆𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 He is the perfect example of an ugly truth hidden behind a beautiful facade. When you read a book it’s easy to get into the feelings of loneliness and rejection that Knight is experiencing and understand why he eventually breaks down under it. It may seem that he is stupidly and blindly devoted to his feelings for Luna, but exactly this love returns and pulls him out of the bottom and helps to cope with emotions. 𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙚 Oh, this is not the end I wanted for their couple. When I read Scandalous and in this book I believed that Dean would find a way to cure Rosie. The chapter on behalf of Rosie broke my heart, I cried at how sad and bright it was at the same time. But the main thing is that they were good parents and did not let their children down.
