Client spotlight 🚨 Bath and I have been working together for 9 weeks now and she is down 10 lbs of fat, increased her metabolism, and continues to show weekly progress. Without focusing on the scale, we have been able to improve overall metobolic function alongside changing her shape. The past 2 months I have hardly had to change her macros, she is a true work horse that just follows the plan even through multiple hurdles. Being sick, raising children, Christmas, and work holidays we have still been able to achieve great sustainable results in a short period of time. My goal for Barb is to keep her macros steady, then increase gradually to improve metabolic function even more and have her still burning fat. I cringed as I stepped on the scale early Monday morning. Praying that my weight hadn’t crept up another pound this week. My body just would not do what I wanted. 😩 I would eat super clean, stay on top of my cardio and workouts, and lose a couple lbs Monday through Friday.  But then the second I went out for a meal with my girlfriends I instantly felt the weight coming back. Not just physical weight, but also the weight of incredible food guilt. 🍕 The problem wasn’t me going out to eat. The problem was how restrictive and low-calorie my diet was. I was living off of 1000-1200 calories a day to try and maintain an unrealistic body. 🫣 Looking back, I know NOW that the reason the scale kept creeping up was because I had damaged and slowed my metabolism.  My body couldn’t lose weight from such a low calorie diet. 🚫 And if you’re in the same spot right now, the answer isn’t less calories, more exercise. “I couldn’t keep doing what I was doing to my body. I felt miserable...” This is what Em said to me in one of our check ins. She was eating super clean, but barely enough, struggling to feel confident in her body and lose weight despite doing what she thought were all the right things. She worked out regularly. But her calories were extremely low. She hit a plateau and worse, stopped getting her period. Not to mention the stress, anxiety, and food fear she was living with.
