Enjoyed this creamy mushroom and asparagus pasta based on @zardyplants recipe for One Pot Creamy Mushroom pasta. Only changes I made were adding the asparagus and a 1/4 cup of white wine vinegar. It was so good and so simple! Hope everyone is well! We here are just finishing up our first year of homeschooling my eldest. It's been a really special time, and I'm looking forward to next year, when my second oldest will also start schooling. I've also been gearing up for this year's garden. I put in several new beds, and I have been trying to prepare them for my seedlings to get transplanted over Mother's day weekend. I wish my thumb was greener. But I've got my fingers crossed that I'll get something, in spite of the deer and rabbits. I love it when what's at home create's an accidental recipe! I'm calling it Farro Fennel Salad. It's so healthy, light and delicious and thrown together with things I had at home, which is pretty amazing for me, since I had never even tried fennel or heard of farro or edamame before a few years ago. Ingredients: Cooked Farro - 1 to 2 cups (I didn't measure) 1/2 an English Cucumber, diced 1/2 an Avocado diced 1 small fennel bulb diced shelled edamame (1/2 to 1 cup?) 3 small scallions diced Baby carrots diced parsely (2 TBS?) sprouted organic pumpkin seeds Fresh mint (10 small leaves diced) juice from one lime cracked black pepper to taste Mix it all together and serve over a bed of Romaine lettuce with lime wedges to add a squeeze more lime if desired. #salad #healthydiscoveries #nutritarian #nutritarianrecipes #fennel #farro #wfpb #wfpbnooil #wholefoodplantbased #asaladaday

Love making a fresh batch of granola! ⬇️ Vanilla-Pear Granola Recipe! ⬇️ Blend: 1 can pears in pear juice 1/4 cup almond butter 3 medjool dates 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp cinnamon Stir in: 4 cups of rolled oats Optional stir ins: Shredded coconut Dried fruit (raisins, cherries, etc.) Bake at 250° for 2 hours, stirring every half hour. Ovens vary, so keep an eye on it for the last half an hour. It will crisp up further as it cools. Allow to cool fully and store in an air-tight container.

Here are some COMMON DIET BEHAVIOURS THAT TRIGGEER BINGING and/or OVEREATING... —skipping breakfast or pushing it off until later —trying to be “good” all day by eating only what you feel is the “healthier”/“good” choices (and avoiding what you crave) —saving your FAV foods for only the weekends/special occassions —using exercise to “earn” your food —avoiding carbs The more rules, restrictions, limitations, or guidelines, you create for yourself, the MORE likely you will want to over indulge when you have the opportunity or when the desire becomes too overwhelming. This is because we are NOT meant to be restricted. If the mind believes there is a famine we are wired to fight against it to survive! FOOD FREEDOM IS NOT BLACK & WHITE 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜 Food Freedom is not.... —“giving up”, or “letting yourself go” —“only eating refined foods” —“eating whatever you want all the time” Food Freedom is.... —permission to enjoy ALL foods without any judgement —enjoying nutrition rich whole foods AND refined/packaged foods —honouring all of your cravings and nutritional needs —very flexible, not rigid  FOOD FREEDOM IS DIVERSE, EXCITING, FLEXIBLE and UNIQUE TO EACH PERSON 🌈 Eat as much as you are hungry for, listen to your body’s signals of hunger and fullness (when/if you can), enjoy nutrient dense foods (whole foods: leafy greens, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts/seeds). AND add in your favourite non-whole foods to have the best satisfaction! Experimenting with what will be the right balance of ratios of these foods is very important, to find what works best for your body! Sometimes this can look like a 80/20 ratio, or maybe a 70/30 ratio, or even a 50/50 ratio. And this is never set in stone. You have the permission to enjoy different ratios at whatever point in your life you are at, or maybe whatever environment or place you’re currently in. Food Behaviours that are Actually NORMAL 😁💜🌿🌈🦋🌸⭐️ 1. eating past your point of comfortable fullness sometimes 2. eating meals full of only carbs 3. having seconds or thirds or fourths! eating more than others 4. enjoying sweet foods daily Everyone is sooo unique, so we have have different wants/needs. It’s nourishing to your body to allow yourself freedom with your diet choices. So much so, that when we fully let go of diet culture with food rules/restrictions and limits, and instead tune into our bodies to see what it it truly telling us in regards to cravings, needs, wants, desires, then we can ultimately achieve great health on all levels.
