Thursdays are my catch up days 🌸 After procrastinating on it for so long, I decided to finally work on this course I've been wanting to create. After sitting down to type and research for a while my brain got groggy and I struggled to focus. 😵💫 My initial reaction was to grab my phone and start mindlessly scrolling on social media.📱 But I decided to do some mobility exercises to stretch and move my sore body. 🧘♀️ I got on my living room floor and started to go through the movements and the girls started calling my name. I looked up and all three of them were around me copying my movements and were excited to show them off! I'm reminded constantly that I am being watched and copied everyday 👀 So, I have to be intentional about how I utilize my time, what I put in my body, how I speak and respond. 🌸 My kids are watching and learning from me and that's a lot of pressure. #healthylifestyle #girlmom #fitnessjourney #setanexample

Your #kids pay attention. A few weeks ago I started adding #running back into training. Every time I’d go out for a run, I’d be greeted by Remy and he’d ask me how my run went. Yesterday I went to the gym to train in the evening. Last night while trying to put him to bed, he said he couldn’t go to bed because he needed to #exercise first. He then proceeded to do body weight rows/pull ups off his crib and pushups. Before my 3 mile run this evening, I asked him if he wanted to go. His eyes lit up. Of course he had to wear sun glasses like dad. Is running pushing a stroller ideal? No. Did stopping to look a skid steer, backhoe, and garbage truck slow us down? Yep. Don’t forget! How you eat definitely influences your children 🤗 I made this for lunch yesterday and my 20 year old son said “that looks really good do you have more of those vegetables?” And, of course I did. He made himself the same meal and said it was delicious!! 😋 High praise from Caden. He can be a bit of a food snob😎He said he never wanted to try peppers before but they looked so good and he had never cut onions. His eyes got a little watery 😢 Caden is a foodie and likes to cook so the good news for me is that he won’t be asking me to make it every day lol. But, he did say he’s going to add it into his meal repertoire 😁 He was already a big fan of the pasture raised eggs that have made their way into the house. Big, dark orange yolks instead of the small, pale yellow conventional yolks. He has commented on the improved taste often. I’m pretty sure the organic produce bill is going up just as the pasture raised egg bill has already but his health is definitely worth it!! Btw… aren’t these tiny tomatoes just the cutest? I want my son to learn healthy living habits. I want him to learn about self love. You are an example. The kind of example you set is up to you. I didn’t want to do my outdoor run today. I thought of every excuse in the book of why I should stay inside and just do it tomorrow instead. But I shut that b*&$! voice down and got it done. You know what? ✨ An older gentleman stopped me at mile 4 and yelled from his car. He said “I just had to stop and commend you for being out here and putting in the hard work. Most people wouldn’t. Have a blessed Easter” and drove away. While this is a silly example, the moral is that people are always watching your example. 📌 If you don’t lead by example, who will people follow? 📌 If you don’t set the bar for standards, how will people know how far they can go? 📌 If you don't actively work towards your goals and dreams, how will people begin to see what is possible?
