You might already know that we are huge fans of Elsa Beskow books. Her magical story books have brought so much delight in our home over the years. The beautiful illustrations and gentle stories are timeless and have a permanent place on our bookshelves. So when @florisbooks asked me if I’d like to review a new release, I of course accepted gratefully. Especially because this new edition contained four stories that we have never read! A whole new world of Elsa Beskow to dive into, we were excited to say the least. We savoured each story, spreading them over four nights, one for every night. In true Elsa Beskow style they did not disappoint. There were lots of giggles and smiles as we got to know each character. The Aunts Green, Brown and Lavender with their quirks and whimsy brought bedtime laughter. We decided that stern Uncle Blue was actually not so stern and following Peter and Lottas’ journey to happiness brought much joy. This beautiful edition would make a wonderful gift for any child or adult. Ours has taken its place in our library of books and will be read over and over again.
