It’s more than just physical health. (this is a long one) I never would’ve believed that I would become this passionate about health/fitness when I first started this. I started all of this, working out specifically because i needed an outlet, something that would get rid of all self doubt. But that’s not what I wanted to focus this post on, as I feel the biggest change in my life has been nutrition. I started my nutrition journey once I made a promise to myself that I was going to heal my body naturally after being told i had pcos. I have struggled with mental clarity is the past, i struggled with brain fog nearly every morning when i woke up, painful bloating after almost every time i ate anything, and EXTREME crashes and fatigue throughout the day, not to mention major mood swings. What we eat determines the course for how our body will react for the rest of the day! Once I started focusing on whole, high volume high protein foods I slowly started seeing changes in these areas. I can now go an entire day without a 2pm crash, my energy levels are at a high, and I almost never get brain fog. I wanted to make this post to share and hopefully to get someone to understand how important nutrition is not just for your physical health but for mental health. I am the biggest preacher of mental health, and I cannot state enough how the food you eat WILL affect your mental well-being. I do not want to seem for a second like I have all the answers and i have it all figured out because i don’t, I am still learning more everyday. But I can only share what’s worked for me this far. I don’t eat fruits and vegetables everyday, there’s days where I don’t reach my protein goal, there’s days where i still get painfully bloated, and there’s days will I will overall just feel pretty gross. But that percentage of my days has dropped a significant amount. Feeling trapped in your mind is not a fun thing to feel. EQUINOX 2023• our first ever equinox event at Belvoir Castle did not disappoint and we are already cannot wait to be back next year. The whole experience was extraordinary from amazing camping views of Belvoir castle, stunning route, amazing people & lush food and drink; I am super proud of my handsome man @jemarsh2014 smashing out 100km. I am completed the 10km night run which I got a new PB and it was my first event after my surgery but I have to say I will back next year for the 24 hour event alongside my handsome man without a doubt 🏃🏻🏃🏼‍♀️2️⃣4️⃣
