But before you go reaching for that extra slice of bacon, let's get one thing straight: not all fats are created equal. What is the science behind it? While dietary saturated fat does raise total and bad LDL cholesterol, not all cholesterol is created equal. Saturated fat can actually improve the quality of bad LDL cholesterol by increasing the amount of large and less harmful particles, while reducing triglycerides and increasing levels of good HDL cholesterol. It’s time to rethink our approach to fat. Eating more healthy fats, like those found in nuts, avocado, olive oil, butter, and coconut oil, and cutting back on sugar and refined carbs may be one of the best ways to improve the quality of our cholesterol and reduce our risk of heart disease.

Several pans like this greeted me at the GYM this morning. 😂 "Go ahead, have one, they're low fat." Uh, no. Fortunately for me, I don't have a sweet tooth. In fact, unless it's a dark chocolate thing, I'm pretty much unimpressed with desserts. It was no temptation for me but I'm sure it was for our sugar obsessed world. This is not healthy at all, I would gain weight😭😢😕 Noodles/ Pasta can be considered unhealthy due to refined flour (white flour/maida) and its high level of carbs. But there are numerous alternatives for it as you can go for wheat flour pasta or noodles / quinoa pasta/ chickpea pasta / buckwheat noodles/ rice noodles/ vegetable noodles etc. Also, there are several ways to make your noodles more healthful and delicious, 1. Avoiding refined flour pasta / noodles 2. Decreasing your portion size 3. Not all carbs are created equal. There are many different types of carbohydrate-containing foods, and they vary greatly in their health effects. Although carbs are often referred to as "simple" vs "complex," I personally find "whole(Good)" vs "refined(Bad)" to make more sense. Whole carbs are unprocessed and contain the fiber found naturally in the food, while refined carbs have been processed and had the natural fiber stripped out. Whole carbs are generally healthy. But Numerous studies show that refined carbohydrate consumption is associated with health problems like obesity and type 2 diabetes. They tend to cause major spikes in blood sugar levels, which leads to a subsequent crash that can trigger hunger and cravings for more high-carb foods. Refined carbohydrate foods are usually also lacking in essential nutrients. In other words, they are "empty" calories. Paleo Raw-Vegan Superfoods Strawberry Shortcake Tart 🍓🍰 *variation of the dark chocolate almond tart Recipe: 1 cup coconut flour 1 1/2 cup almond milk 1/3 cup chia seeds 1/3 cup flax seeds 1/3 cup honey 1 teaspoon salt Handful chopped almonds *Scoop protein powder optional 🔻Mix dry ingredients then add honey and almond milk till fluffy mushy consistency but not firm. 🔻Line muffin tins and press dough into tins. 🔻Freeze until firm. 🔻Blend a frozen banana and two frozen strawberries and fill cup.

Delicious Berry Brown Vegan Mugcake with Vegan Berry "Icecream"👌🍪🍧 For the Mugcake: - 2 Tbs oat flour (powdered oats) - 1 Tbs another powdered thing (vegan protein, powdered grain, maca, ...) - 1 big tsp of carob powder - 1 tsp stevia (or more) - 2-3 Tbs soy (or another) milk - 1 handful of frozen mixed berries Put the ingredients in a mug, mix them. If it's too dry, add more milk. Put in the microwave for 1.5-2 min and after a solid but soft consistency plate it with a spoon. For the Icecream: - 2 cups frozen berries - 2 tsp stevia (or other natural sweetener) - 1 soy yogurt / 1 cup "milk ice cubes" - Lil bit of vegan milk (optional) Use the milk cubes you put in the freezer for some hours. Put all the ingredients in a food processor max speed and it's done! Eat it together :) #niceshealth
