Instantly fast-paced and gripping you into the story. I enjoyed making theories as I read about how the storyline would end up. I liked the idea of seeing how far someone could go to protect someone else and also seeing the extent as to how the villain in this story went to lie to his partner. It did keep you guessing as to what would happen and what the outcome of the story would be. Another twist that was completely unexpected at the end. If you are a thriller lover, you need to pick this one up! 📚 The Catch - TM Logan ⭐️4/5 I can’t believe I hadn’t ready any TM Logan books before this one. I’ve so many on my tbr but never read any. When Abbie brings her new boyfriend to meet her parents Ed knows something isn’t quite right about his daughters boyfriend but he can’t figure out what. When they announce they are planning to get married in a few weeks Ed’s mind goes into overdrive trying to find out everything he can about Ryan but no one believes him. ✨MINI REVIEW✨ 📖 The Catch - T.M. Logan This is the second book I’ve read from this author, and I’ve decided I just love his writing! He writes how I think and speak… I just get it. It’s like I’m talking to myself. Does that even make sense?! Anyway, about the story… I enjoyed this book so much, I didn’t want to put it down. It had me hooked from the get-go. I found it more predictable than The Holiday… I did guess what Ryan’s secret was, and I guessed some other bits along the way. But that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story. T.M. Logan will always be an ‘automatic buy’ author for me now. His books are just my cup of tea ☕️

I wanted to read the book so I could watch the TV show. It starts with the Dad, Ed, suspicious of the new boyfriend. Everyone sees the new boyfriend as perfect and as 'a catch'. Ed does what he can to investigate the boyfriend, getting himself into trouble and turning his family against him. During the book it is difficult to decide if there is anything wrong with the boyfriend. I raced through the second half of the book as the story became more intense and twists were revealed. I stayed up late to finish the book - it's been a while since I did that. The book gained half a star as it did capture me and I read the book quickly. The book lost half a star as some of the twist was predictable. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝘆 𝗧.𝗠. 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻 *my first ever thriller read Buddy reading my first thriller with an expert like @becks_andthebooks made me feel validated, I’m glad we had mutual opinions. First of, related so much as the setting was here up north with familiar places. The development of the plot kept me at the edge of my seat, and couldn’t put it down. A whole lot of ideas came to my mind. However, we had so many questions unanswered, confusions uncleared and basically making us need more at the ending of the story. Perhaps thrillers are meant to be like that? Not bad for a first time, but I feel like I want more convincing from this genre. 👰🏻🤵🏻 The Catch by T.M. Logan 🤵🏻👰🏻 Thrillers are books I don’t often pick up but once I do, I tend to race through them and wonder why I don’t read them more often. This was gifted to me by a friend who read it and enjoyed it, I’m very grateful as I ended up loving it too. At the start of this book, we learn that the main character’s daughter is getting married to her new boyfriend whom she has only known for a few months. The dad is instantly suspicious of the fiance, Ryan, and is determined to find out what is up with him before they get married. This book is very addictive and has very short chapters, which I found really good at sucking me in and making me keep reading for ‘one more chapter’. T.M. Logan’s other books are 99p on Kindle this month so I will definitely be giving them a read.

When Ed first meets his daughters new boyfriend for the first time, he is not keen at all even less so when they announce they are engaged and getting married in a month. There is something about Ryan, Ed can’t put his finger on it but he doesn’t buy his clean cut too good to be true act and starts to investigate. As Ed tries to find the truth about who Ryan really is, it begins to cause a rift between not only between him and his wife but his daughter too, when she finds out what her dad has been up to. However, Ryan is just to perfect and he wants to find out ‘The Catch’. Whilst this was a slow burner for me by part two I was hooked and wanted to know if Ed was right or if Ryan was just a genuine guy. It had a couple of twists to keep you on your toes but all in all a great read.

⛰book review Wow. I couldn’t put this down once I started it. The short chapters made it super quick and easy to read. I haven’t read a book so quickly, as I have this one, in so long!! The book is in the view of a father who is unsure of his daughters new fiancé. This is my second T.M Logan book after reading The Holiday a couple of years ago in Italy & although I enjoyed this one, I think I preferred The Holiday as it was a lot less predictable. This is a very good thriller & has strong charachters. Most of the book is told from Ed's point of view in part 1, then as we progress into part 4 we begin to see things from the other characters points of view. This worked really well & definitely added to the tension! I did think it was weird Ed was so suspicious of Ryan so early on, but I guess his fatherly instinct kicked in immediately! With a thriller I love a twist & a bit of a surprise, whereas I found this a bit too obvious with no real shock factor. It's a bit far fetched & extreme at times too. Having said that though, the last few chapters still had me on the edge of my seat even though I'd worked out what had happened & I thought it ended really well. I kind of got a bit bored halfway through & thought it could have ended a lot sooner, but the last couple of parts really got my attention again! 🔆 B O O K R E V I E W 🔆 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ TW⚠️: Murder, Grief, Death, Animal abuse, Violence I really enjoyed this one. This was a really good introduction to me into @tmloganauthor writing, I absolutely love discovering new thriller writers to enjoy so I’ll look forward to reading more of his work now. This was a solid thriller for me, I read this alongside listening to it on audio which definitely helped build the momentum for me, the Storyline starts off with an immediate game of guessing what you think the outcome might be & although there are many major plot points, I still could never quite guess what way it would end. The character building for me was one of the main reasons I enjoyed this so much, a lot of time in thrillers I find that the plot is such a main focus to the book that the character building & personality traits of them cause fall a little flat, that is not the case here, by the end of the book I felt like I knew Ed, Claire & Abbie well & had a connection with them, even if I did think Ed was losing it many times 🤣 For me this is an absolute solid thriller that kept me guessing & I will definitely be recommending it. I have read some crazy good thrillers so my expectations are pretty high! I would have rated this 2⭐, however I want my account to reflect how I feel about books so I read through my lower rated ones and compared this book to them. I gave it 3 stars purely because it was pretty slow up until about 60%, I enjoyed it but I wasn't racing through the pages like I want to be in a thriller. After 60%, the pace picked up a lot more and I enjoyed the final 40%. I don't think I will read anymore of TM Logan's books because the pace that he writes wasn't up my street however the storyline was good and the ending made up for it! If you like fast paced thrillers this one is not for you, however if you're a fan of a slow burner then you'll love this! What did you think of this one? 🚨⚠️ Book Review Alert ⚠️🚨 The Catch by TM Logan 💍 Ed meets his daughter’s boyfriend Ryan for the first time, Abbie then announces they are getting married. Ed’s instincts tell him his daughter is in terrible danger, but no one else can see it. I read The Catch as part of a buddy read and after reading very mixed reviews, I wasn’t sure what I’d think of it but I actually really enjoyed it! While I thought the beginning was a little dragged out, it was certainly fast paced from the second part onwards. The chapters were short and I thought the structure of the story and way it was written was really good. I felt that the author had definitely done his research into the local areas and knew his background on the jobs people did which made it much more believable. The catch by T M Logan 📚 I’ve read a looot lately but just haven’t got round to posting any pics 🤦♀️ but I got ‘the catch’ for my birthday and I flew through it within 2 days! The plot was really good and although he was a bit grumpy I actually really liked the main character Ed. Could sort of guess in a round about way how this book would end, I mean the ‘bad guy’ was obviously a bad guy (even if no one else believed he was). Have you read the catch?? What did you think? 📚
Ed’s daughter has been in a long distance relationship for months. Up until now he’s not met Ryan until he turns up at his house with Abbie. Ryan ticks all the boxes. Smart ✅ Successful ✅ handsome ✅ Everybody falls under his spell except Ed. Ed can see the darkness behind his eyes. His instincts tell him Ryan is not what he appears to be. Ed will do whatever it takes to save his little girl This was a birthday gift and I got hooked on this really quickly. I had never seen it before but I really enjoyed it. Was kept guessing as to whether Ryan was what he portrayed himself to be or if Ed was right. 21: The Catch - T.M Logan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First of all, Amazon £2 offers have done me well so far. My second thriller I purchased that was on offer last week and it did not disappoint. The Catch tells the story of Ed, who is extremely suspicious of his daughter’s new boyfriend and his lengths to discover what/who he really is 🕵🏻♂️ I thought this book was brilliant. A pacy thriller that I can imagine being turned into an ITV Drama at some point, it had everything. I was even questioning any character in the book trying to figure out the truth. It loses one star for me only because I wanted a little bit more at the end. This is the second book I’ve read by him, and I’m obsessed. He captures thrillers in a way I love, and the twists and turns and drops are so fun to read! I also love that this book was set in Nottingham, because I’ve been to a few of the places mentioned in it! I couldn’t pick a quote without revealing too much, so I picked my favourite line instead. . Onto the actual story, it was really good. Different points of views, which I love, and each chapter had something new. Some of them were short, keeping me from putting the book down because I just needed to know what was going on. I got frustrated with Ed with being suspicious of Ryan, worried about Ed for his spiral and angry at everyone for doubting him. I couldn’t, for the life of me, understand what the catch really was until the very end. . Watching things not add up and everything become a mess was the highlight of the book, because that made me not want to put it down. Yes, I got a little bored at some points but the last two parts of the book sold me. It was almost expected, what was going to happen, but the ending definitely came as a shock. I don’t want to reveal too much, so that’s why you need to give this one a go!

📚 BOOK REVIEW!! 📚 So anyone who knows me, knows how long I have wanted to read this for - I finally took the plunge and ordered this book.. This is my first @tmloganauthor book I have read, and all I have is 1 word.. WOW!!!!! From the get go, you are constantly trying to figure out why Ed doesn't like his daughters boyfriend - at first i was hoping it was in his head for Abbie's sake, but the more you read into the story and more and more starts to unravel about Ryan, it became impossible for me to put the book down! 📖Today I visited my lovely local independent bookshop @unibookshopbuckingham to pick up these two books that I had pre-ordered for our next round of book club reads. They arrived the day after I had ordered them and worked out cheaper than ordering online with larger retailers. Exceptional service and very reasonable prices! I took my 4 year old daughter with me and we took advantage of the amazing half price children’s book offer and she chose The Sea Tiger by Victoria Turnbull.
