Do you remember those first few weeks home with your new baby when your body ached, sleep deprivation like you’ve never felt before and your motivation and energy level to do anything other than care for that new little one was non-existent? Help from friends and family was much appreciated. I didn’t realize what my postpartum friends actually NEEDED until I experienced it for myself. A few things you can do for them include: ✨Bring them food- think one handed meals like burritos or sandwiches (since they will often be holding a baby) or dishes for the whole family like lasagna, soup or casserole. ✨Do a load of laundry. Babies can be very messy. Between blow out diapers 💩 and spit up, they change their clothes often. ✨Entertain their older kids. It can be nice for the parent to get to have some time focusing on the baby without worrying about their big kids. You can bring the big kids outside and play a game or do a craft. ✨Hold their baby for them (if they want you too) so that they can have their hands free to do whatever they want. Wayyyyy before.... A year ago... Today .... 👀 To say that a lot has happened over the past year is an understatement. No matter what happened, in the end it boiled down to I didn't take care of what I was shoving in my face.. That before picture was at my heaviest. I was lost, broken and just not feeling right with myself! I decided that I needed to do something about it because Trey deserved a better mother than one that was running on fumes. So I buckled down, scraped up as much money as I could and took the plunge. I told myself, worst case scenario, I could always return it to get my money back. Then last year, my post baby body snap back game was strong. I saw my pre Neyama body in the horizon... Then I pushed my sleep and nutrition to the back burner. Sleeping minimal hours meant that I was tired.... And what do you do when you're tired????? Seek energy from food.... Sometimes the wrong foods.... Sometimes not enough food.... Cue the weight gain all over again. So it's been a week... A very challenging week but a week where I'm paying attention to what I'm eating. I'm sleeping a little bit more. Despite the craziness that's going on over here, I'm trying to focus on me again. Im feeling good. My children are happy and I feel the difference in my body. Pushing through when times get tough, not giving up on your dreams, eating healthy, being kind to your body, telling yourself positive thoughts, etc.... All of this is worth way more than that initial investment. This is why I'm so passionate to empower other moms to not settle for the status quo. Not think I wish and rather I CAN! Which will teach the next generation so many positive lessons. Success isn’t easy. Motivation comes and goes, making it hard to commit and stick to your plan. Trust me, I’ve been there. But I also know that moving is the best cure for anything that might be holding me back. Honor your commitment to yourself. Do the work. And you’ll love the results. Do I still have your attention? MOVE OF THE DAY: This workout move will have your inner, outer, hips and Buns BURNING! 1. Lay on your side with your head in your hand. 2. Put your legs at 90° and bend the knees. 3. Flex your feet 4. Lift your legs, keep your heels together while spreading your knees apart. 5. Pulse your upper leg up and up and up and up. ENJOY this for 10 reps at first. Then challenge yourself to go longer. Don't forget the other side. You don't want to be lop sided. Did you do it???? How did it go?

100 day commitment to MYSELF! ✅ I'm so happy to say that I completed this program. Not because I have a hard time completing a calendar... Because I don't. The reason why I'm happy is because I made a promise to myself a few yrs back. When I had lost myself and fought hard to find myself again following my separation. I will always do something for myself. Something that will help me stay in a positive space. Well that's what I did for the past 100 days. As moms it's really hard for us to do things for ourselves. All of the struggles today. Trey hurt his foot so no karate. I woke up late which felt great but cut in on the things that I wanted to get done. And then, of course, there's this craziness that my trainer put me through. It was alllllllll core fire and "fun". The best part was that my girl @fitnesswithcoachk joined me virtually for our Saturday virtual gym session. You should join us one Saturday morning. Just lemme know.

No sugar diet... No carbs diet... No fat diet... No air diet...😂😂😂 I'm so tired of seeing all of these fad diets popping up and tricking people to thinking that it's the way to live. Who wants to restrict ourselves from delicious foods or food groups simply to lose a few pounds?!?! And I get it, I've been through it too. I did the Special K diet. I've done Weight Watchers . I grew up seeing family members try Jenny Craig, the diet cookies, etc. Im so happy that I found a way to eat REAL FOOD. Not have to eliminate any food groups. And even enjoy treats every now and then. 🍕🍷 Obviously, I'm not keeping it to myself, that wouldn't be fair. If you are tired of doing the yo-yo dieting, I can help you. Sometimes it's fancy and sometimes it's not 🤷🏾‍♀️ Often times I hear... I don't know what to eat... I don't have any imagination to create meals... And sometimes it's just a matter of time. This morning I was going to just grab a half of a banana then I remembered what the workout was. With all the jumping and the power, I knew I needed to fuel my body right. So protein and carbs to the rescue. Some yogurt along with some sweet potato will give my body what it needs. What did you have for breakfast? Now to chug my superpowers drink and push play on my workout before I bring Trey to school.

How do get over your excuses? I thought of so many excuses to not get it done at 9 with some other coaches in our group.... I woke up late... I didn't eat.... I hear Neyama waking up.... But I had to check myself and realize that they were just that.... Excuses! So I sucked it up, had a half of a banana, chugged my superpowers drink and pressed play! So happy that I did. I was completely DRENCHED after today's workout. I feel so accomplished and ready to tackle the day.

Endlich! Jiaaaa. Mein geliebtes LowCarb-Knuspermüsli is back. 💛 Ich hab bei gefühlten 40 Grad in der Küche mal schnell den Ofen angeschmissen und eine neue Portion von meinem Lieblingsmüsli produziert. When I saw that @taylorfarmscanada had a new salad which included bacon, I HAD to try it out. 🥓 The crispy onions aren't my fav considering that I don't like onions. I was happy to see that there were no nitrites and nitrates added to the bacon. Everything paired well with the salmon that I added to it. HOWEVER, the Asian style one is still my all time fav. What's your fav ingredient that if it's in a salad, you would DEF buy it?

💪🏾Here's a great workout sequence that you can add to your routine.💪🏾 Make sure you SAVE this post so that you can reference it later. Click on the bookmark icon right under this to save it. Also, share it with someone that might like this combo. Press on the paper airplane to share it. First move: Slow tempo (4 count open, 4 count close) - Turn your right foot to a 45° angle but keep your hips to the front. Make sure that your knee if soft (bent). - Hold a very light weight and open up your left arm as if you're pulling a bow and arrow. - Repeat 4 times with a slow tempo. - You can lift your left leg for an added challenge. Second move: Faster tempo (1 count open, 3 count close) - If your left leg was on the ground in the first move, lift it up now. - Open up your left arm at a fast tempo and close it slowly. - Repeat 8 times Third move: Faster tempo with a leg pulse - Bend the right knee in order to pulse - Keep up the same tempo with your arms and keep pulsing your leg. - Repeat 8 times Fourth move: - Drop the weight - Turn to the front - Bring your left knee in towards your chest and kick it back. - Open and close your arms as your flyyyyy - Repeat 16 times Try this combo out and then switch to the other leg. Once you feel that burn , don't forget to come back and let me know how it goes.

Who else packs snacks for the car ride although you're going somewhere with food??? We left this morning for a great family day with Timmy's work. We were expecting a bbq but I had to pack a bunch of snacks for the car. Do you track your food? Yesterday I started tracking my food again because I realized that I wasn't getting the results that I wanted. I pulled out my electronic tracker on my exclusive app for my bootcamp and tracked. And of course, I had too many carbs.... No surprise there. What did surprise me was that I didn't have enough veggies and protein. Then I realized, I didn't really have a supper. There's the culprit. So now I'm making a decision to track my meals again and plan out my meals for the day. This helps me make sure that I'm getting all of the nutrients that I need to keep my energy levels up.
