Oggi vi parlo di un libro che mi ha fatta sognare ad occhi aperti, nonostante il contesto poco felice 😅 In questo romanzo ci troviamo a Belterra, un regno dove esistono le streghe ma sono p3rsegu!tate dal clero e in particolare da un reparto mil!tare, quello degli Chasseur, che ha come obbiettivo quello di ucc!d3rle tutte. I nostri protagonisti sono Lou, una strega e Reid, ovviamente il capitano degli chasseur. I due vengono f0rzati dalle circostanze a sposarsi, ma si 0di4no è chiaramente Reid non conosce la vera natura di Lou. 🐈⬛In questo libro c’è tutto ciò che amo: en3mies to lovers, convivenza forzata, one bed è tanto altro! Penserete che sia un romanzo pieno di luoghi comuni ed effettivamente lo è, ma l’autrice sa raccontare tutto benissimo creando il climax perfetto. Per me questo è un tipo di romanzo di conforto estremo e oltre a ciò la storia d’amore è importante sicuramente ma è anche accompagnata da un contesto particolare perché Lou nasconde tanti segreti ma insieme a lei scopriremo tantissime altre cose che renderanno questo romanzo ricco di colpi di scena. BOOK REVIEW - Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin 🍯❤️ After their harrowing escape in Serpent & Dove Lou and Reid are on the run from the coven and the church. Forced to seek allies Lou and Reid must find their way while on the run from the Dame Blanches. This book took me forever to finish because it was just so long and confusing. I LOVED the first book so I was so excited for this one. Sadly the pacing, purpose and execution was just very poor. I couldn’t follow what the motives were anymore and didn’t like the miscommunication tropes. They lost chemistry and you can tell by the short bio here there’s not much else to the main storyline. 🍬¿Qué libro recomendado en redes leíste?🍬 📚Asesino de Brujas I: la bruja blanca 📚Shelby Mahurin 📚Urano El día que Louise cumplía 16 años, su mamá, la reina de las brujas Le Blanc, planeaba sacrificarla por un fin macabro. Lou se ve obligada a escapar y renunciar a su vida, para convertirse en una ladrona muy hábil. Pero, por obra del destino, termina en manos de sus archienemigos y viéndose forzada a casarse con Reid, un cazador de brujas. La sinopsis nunca me llamó mucho la atención, por lo que siempre pospuse la lectura de este libro. Con motivo de una lectura conjunta, al fin lo inicié y casi que lo devoré al leerlo. Es una historia bastante predecible, pero te da gusto leerla por las personalidades e interacciones entre los distintos personajes. Lou con Reid, Lou o Coco con Ansel, Madame Labelle con quien sea, etc. Cada quien tiene un humor e ironía único, que hace bastante llevaderas sus charlas. La pareja principal inicia como algo muy forzado, pero se desarrolla con mucha naturalidad. Por supuesto, el toque de romance es tipo slow burn hasta que llegan los fuegos artificiales (? La trama se va poniendo interesante en el último cuarto del libro, cuando se van develando secretos, planes y nuevos personajes. Así como también la última línea de la historia donde nos presentan a una nueva reina de otro tipo de brujas. Honestamente, no me enganchó tanto como para seguir su lectura. A ver, se lee rapidísimo y querés saber cómo continúa y el desenlace. Pour survivre, ils ont besoin d’alliés puissants et le temps est contre eux. Surtout quand Morgane instaure un jeu malsain du chat et la souris. La petite troupe est obligée de chercher de l’aide au cœur du danger. Lou plonge petit à petit dans un côté sombre de sa magie et Reid doit explorer la sienne à contrecœur. » J’ai adorée ma lecture ! On est sur une ambiance complètement différente du tome 1 et ça a marché avec moi. Nos personnages sont en situation critique, en quête d’alliés, ce qui va nous faire voyager à la découverte de plusieurs créatures et tribus. Personnellement je n’ai pas ressenti de longueur et j’étais à fond du début à la fin, mais je comprends pourquoi ce livre a été la déception de beaucoup de personnes. On est très loin de la vibe du tome 1, la tournure est assez brutale et nos personnages n’arrivent pas à s’entendre et à se comprendre. Mais justement de mon côté j’ai aimé cette espèce de « coupure » entre Lou et Reid qui ne va qu’accentuer leur amour, malgré les problèmes qui se succède. Ce tome est plein d’émotion, mais surtout renversant sur la fin. Hello les rêveurs (es), Aujourd'hui je vous partage mon avis il est vrai du 3e tome de Serpent and Dove : Gods ans Monster de Shelby Mahurin. Sans surprise cette saga est un véritable coup de coeur ❤️. 👻🧙🧞🪄 Note : 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Avis : La plume est aussi fluide qu'aux précédents tomes, on ne s'ennuie jamais avec les rebondissements en rebondissements et la tension qui à son comble. La magie est beaucoup plus développé et on découvre davantage l'univers, en repoussant les frontières du monde terrestre qui est très intéressant. Quel plaisir de retrouver la bande où l'évolution des personnages et leurs psychologique, comment les traumatisme nous impact. Ainsi que chacun à son rôle à joué même le plus insignifiant. Sans oublie nicholina qui est si tordu et maléfique. Heureusement il y a une belle fin car ils méritent tous. Cette saga va me manquer 🥺 Vous pourrez retrouver les avis des précédents 😊 Résumé : Lou a passé sa vie à fuir. Aujourd'hui, après un coup tordu de Morgane, le temps est venu de réclamer ce qui lui revient de droit. Mais Lou n'est plus la même. Una serie Fantasy tra il Sacro e il profano che non smetterei mai di consigliarvi è quella di Shelby Mahurin con “Serpent & Dove” e i suoi seguiti. A differenza di molte altre trilogie fantastiche, questa mixa benissimo tra loro i temi della Fede, della Stregoneria, dell’Amicizia e dell’Amore. Il tutto condito con una buona dose di storia della città in cui i protagonisti si muovono. Non mancano colpi di scena ma sono studiati per venire a galla poco a poco dopo una lenta maturazione di intenti da parte di uno o l’altro dei personaggi. La parte Romance non è per nulla scontata e non segue nessun trope particolare se non la vita dei due protagonisti e del loro passato unendoli nei momenti di difficoltà e separandoli quando accade qualcosa di più grande di loro ma…leggere per vedere come va a finire! Ve la consiglio caldamente e recuperatela anche perché l’autrice sta per uscire con la storia di una delle protagoniste ovvero con la storia della migliore amica di Louise. Hey Readers 👋🏽 A few years ago I picked up Serpent & Dove after seeing it so much on Bookstagram. At the time, the second book in the series {Blood & Honey} had just come out and it was all the rage. This is a YA fantasy series about witches- I remember thinking for a young adult novel it checks off all the boxes but I wasn’t super blown away or anything…at least not then …. I never got around to reading books 2&3, but last fall I entered a pre-order incentive with @harpercollinsca for the authors new book {The Scarlet Veil} and won the entire Serpent & Dove series! ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 - Magie - Sorcière - Romance interdite - Mariage forcé 𝓛𝓮 𝓵𝓲𝓿𝓻𝓮 𝓮𝓷 𝓵𝓾𝓲 𝓶𝓮̂𝓶𝓮: Alors j'ai mis longtemps avant de commencer ce livre, je sais pas pourquoi d'ailleurs parce que je l'avais depuis assez longtemps dans ma PAL. Je l'avais acheté quand j'avais vu qu'il était sorti en poche mais je l'ai jamais lu jusqu'à maintenant. Comme attendu, j'ai beaucoup aimé !! Franchement c'était une fantasy incroyable, ça me donne envie d'en lire d'autres ! Maintenant I need du tome 2 mais je dois attendre avant de l'acheter ça me frustre 😭. 𝓛𝓮𝓼 𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓷𝓪𝓰𝓮𝓼: Alors comment dire... Ils étaient trooop bien. De un: Lou était tellement badass, je l'ai adoré. Elle était pleine de caractère, elle ne se laissait pas dicter sa conduite et ça donnait des moment assez drôles parce qu'elle était sans gêne 😂. Quant à Reid, autant au début il faisait son métier à la lettre mais au fil de l'histoire et de sa relation avec Lou, on a pu le voir changé de personnalité ou tout simplement montrer celle qu'il cachait ? Brefff logiquement vous tombez sous son charme, il lâche des dinguerie tout au long du livre ! Ps: j'ai trouvé des fan art incroyables que je vous ai mis dans les slides, ils viennent de pinterest, j'ai pas trouvé la personne qui les as fait ! 𝓛'𝓱𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓲𝓻𝓮: J'ai eu du mal à commencé, la partie introductive était assez rude. Il y avait pas mal de personnage et d' éléments de l'histoire à expliquer. Mais une fois passé cette étape et quand j'ai enfin tout compris, je me suis plongée dans l'histoire tellement facilement ! Les chapitres se suivaient et c'était super prenant. Quant à la fin, mama... J'ai tout enchaîné. Yavais pas mal de plot twist, et éléments tristes, des éléments d'actions, et aussi de l'amour. I really enjoyed the mental fight between two characters, and the last quarter of the book was pretty entertaining. “As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.” I’ve been always a sucker for star-crossed lovers and Shelby Mahurin perfectly delivered this tragic love into a story that I, as a reader, can only wish will end in hope (and a well-deserved happy ending). A union between a witch in hiding and a captain of an army of witch hunters is not really a unique trope, but the worldbuilding of Cesarine makes the whole plot completely unique. Lou is not a damsel in distress, in fact, her strong nature made me look up to her, especially the goodness of her heart. Her husband, Reid, is a bit close-minded in the start but his character development is one that I’m excited to witness as I continue with this lovely trilogy. 🌞los hijos del rey🐈⬛ 🐈⬛ es la segunda parte de Asesino de brujas, un libro que he leído dos veces y me encanta (es un ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) 🌞 sin embargo, no he llegado a terminar este libro. El año pasado leí buena parte de él, pero lo tuve que devolver a la biblioteca y no lo pude retomar. Además, recuerdo que lo dejé justo en la parte que se estaba poniendo interesante. 🐈⬛ he visto que a casi todo el mundo con esta trilogía le pasa que les encanta el primer libro, pero que los siguientes les decepcionan, y me da un poco de palo que me pase 🌞 y es que, aunque este libro no me estaba disgustando, es cierto que no tenía los elementos que tanto me habían gustado en el primero, y me costó bastante llegar hasta donde llegué. 🧹 Asesino de Brujas - La Bruja Blanca ~ Shelby Mahurin 🧹 ~Año de publicación: 2019 ~Páginas: 482 ~Género: Paranormal, YA, Romance, Magia ~Opinión: Me costó bastante cogerle el ritmo, pero alrededor de la página 100 la cosa se pone bastante mejor y consiguió engancharme, que es lo mínimo que le pido a un libro. La protagonista me ha caído bastante bien, es divertida pero me gusta que sea un personaje con muchos claroscuros. El protagonista masculino, sin embargo... digamos que la inteligencia no es su fuerte. Me ha parecido muy bobo es más de una ocasión, y ha pasado por alto cosas evidentes, aunque no solo el, sino que por el bien de la trama los personajes dejan pasar por alto situación tras situación. Eso, sumado a que todo el mundo es pariente de todo el mundo, ha hecho que la trama flojease en más de una ocasión. El romance lo he sentido muy apresurado, o mejor dicho, muy intenso demasiado rápido, pero me ha gustado la dinámica entre los protagonistas y se me ha hecho entretenido. La Saga di shelby mahurin è composta da serpent and dove, blood and honey e gods and monster. la storia parla di questa strega, Lou che si ritrova per qualche strano motivo a doversi spostare con uno chasseu (cacciatore) tra i due inizialmente è odio finché non nasce lentamente dell’amore. Ci ho messo davvero tanto a leggerlo dall’inizio mi è sembrato molto lento, noioso è confusionario, non riuscivo a capire la logica di certe cose, verso pagina 100 il libro ha iniziato a prendere una piega e a diventare più decifrabile. Alcuni pezzi li ho trovati molto maschilisti e non melo sarei mai aspettata ,confidavo molto in questo romanzo e alcune cose mi hanno proroio delusa, nonostante ciò altri punti del libro sono molto divertenti, mi è piaciuto molto il personaggio di Louise, ma anche reid non mi dispiace. Mi aspettavo di meglio e mi ha deluso molto come saga, Essendo che l’inizio è molto difficile da capire andando avanti non sono riuscita a comprendere a pieno i collegamenti tra i personaggi e altre cose della storia.
