The Goal - The storyline in The Goal is happening at the same time as the storyline in The Score. Sabrina and Tucker meet at a bar one night and everything goes from there. I personally wasn’t really excited to read this one because I felt like the ending of The Score ruined a big plot point in this book. I’m sure the idea was to get people excited for the next book but it unfortunately did the opposite for me. While it was a good book and I enjoyed reading it I did find it difficult to get into. Every other Elle Kennedy book I’ve read I was into it from the beginning and read in 2 days. With this book I found myself needing breaks at the beginning and got sucked in more towards the middle of the book. Don’t get me wrong I still loved this book it just took me a bit to get into. Happy Tuesday! Do you like the surprise pregnancy trope? I actually like this trope as long as the heroine doesn’t hide the fact that she’s pregnant from the dad. "I can’t be the person who ruins your life. I already turned you into a father earlier than you wanted to be one. I didn’t want love to complicate everything. I didn’t want… I didn’t want you to wake up one day and hate me.” "Hate you? Jesus, woman. You still don’t get it do you?” "Get what?” "You. Me. Us. This. You’re the one, Sabrina. There’s no one else for me in this world, nobody, but you.” For some reason, I thought I wouldn’t enjoy this book, but I actually loved it! Tucker is so freaking amazing! After an amazing night together, Tucker tries his hardest to get Sabrina to give him another date. Sabrina has a lot on her plate with trying to make a life for herself and get away from the bad environment at home. I loved how Tucker understood what she was going through and just wanted to make it easier for her. He never pushed her and never made her feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. I loved how he would always raise her up! The steamy scenes between the two of them were amazing! So freaking hot and I honestly wish we got more of them. I really liked how the surprise pregnancy trope was written. It was so sweet how supportive Tucker was with Sabrina in the pregnancy. I was really happy that this book didn’t have a third act break up! ✔️The Goal 🥅💞 • @ellekennedy33 • contemporary romance/na • 357 pages • book 4 out of 5 • 3/5🌶️ 🇺🇸What "The Goal" would be going to be about was kind of announced by a little cliffhanger which introduced the trope of it. I know that many readers are not a fan of this trope and neither am I. But at least I could mentally prepare for it and also, I was eager to finally get to know Tucker better. I expected him to be a great person and well, of course he is. He's probably the definition of a green flag, all reliable and patient, and I enjoyed that so much that I didn't even get too upset about the trope. I also think that he's exactly the kind of person that Sabrina needed. She's someone who never felt any sort of healthy connection to anyone and is misunderstood and judged on a regular basis. It was just awful to witness. The more I liked how things eventually unfolded for her in a good way. The book is not very much about hockey and campus life anymore which I was missing a bit, fitting the circumstances of the characters. Overall not my fav of the series, but it was okay. 🇩🇪Das Thema von "The Goal" wurde ja schon durch den kleinen Cliffhanger des vorherigen Bandes angekündigt. Viele mögen diesen Trope ja gar nicht, und ich genauso wenig. Aber so konnte ich mich wenigstens mental darauf vorbereiten und zudem war ich sehr gespannt darauf, Tucker endlich besser kennenzulernen. Ich habe bereits erwartet, dass er ein großartiger Mensch sein würde, und das war dann auch so. Definition einer green flag, immer verlässlich und geduldig. Das fand ich so toll, dass mich der Trope dann auch gar nicht sooo sehr geärgert hat. Er ist zudem genau der Mensch, den Sabrina gebraucht hat. Sie hatte zuvor nie eine gesunde Beziehung zu irgendeiner Person und wird ständig verurteilt und missverstanden. Das mitzubekommen war furchtbar. Umso schöner war es, wie sich die Dinge letztlich für sie entwickelt haben. Das Buch thematisiert Campusleben und Hockey nicht mehr allzu sehr, den Umständen der Charaktere entsprechend. Ein bisschen vermisst habe ich es dann schon. Nicht mein Liebling aus der Reihe, aber trotzdem im Ordnung.

REVIEW The Goal by Elle Kennedy ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 I had seen Tucker in the other books and didn’t really expect to like him because he never really interested me but WOW 🙉😍 I ended up loving Tucker so much! RECENZIA NA KNIHU- Cieľ Kedže som od Elle Kennedy už čítala predošlé tri knihy tak som už vedela že čo mám očakávať. Tuckera sme v predošlých knihách mali možnosť spoznať len tak okrajovo. V tejto knihe sme ho bližšie spoznali. Z tichého Tuckera sa vykľul nie až taký tichý chalan. Sabrina na druhej strane vôbec nie je taká ako sme mohli počuť od Deana v predošlej knihe. Je cieľavedomá, vie čo chce dosiahnuť a preto sa možno niekomu zdá ako mrcha. Nakoniec sa medzi nimi udeje veľká vec ktorá im zmení životy nadobro. Obaja majú super osobnosti. Príbeh sa mi ako celok páčil, len mi tam niečo chýbalo tak by som to ohodnotila na takých ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️a pol. ANOTÁCIA KNIHY Vysokoškoláčka Sabrina má v plánoch jasno: doštuduje, zaboduje na práve a získa skvele platenú prácu v prestížnej advokátskej kancelárii. Krásny hokejista v jej predstavách nikdy nefiguroval. Johnovi Tuckerovi je preto ochotná venovať len jednu vášnivú noc, ale niekedy aj to stačí, aby sa človeku zmenil život.
