Ari przez cały czas trwania nauki w liceum świetnie ukrywał, kim jest. Był nieśmiały i wolał trzymać się na uboczu, ale wszystko zmieniło się, kiedy w jego życiu pojawił się Dante. To był ten moment, w którym odkrył, że pora walczyć o siebie i się tego nie wstydzić, a także, że może mieć przyjaciół wspierających go w walce z dręczycielami. Dante urzekł go poczuciem humoru i marzycielskim charakterem, ale ich relację czeka wielka próba. Nie jest łatwo budować miłość, której nikt nie kibicuje i która budzi sprzeciw. Jeśli jednak to uczucie jest tego warte, to trzeba spróbować. • • • Panie Benjamin Alire Saenz, pan stworzył coś niesamowitego za co trzeba podziękować, bo ta dylogia dosłownie uratowała mnie, dała nadzieję na lepsze jutro i pokazała, że warto walczyć. Zawsze wracam do tej dylogi, gdy mam gorszy dzień, by odciąć się od świata rzeczywistego i chodź na sekundę zapomnieć o wszystkich swoich problemach, bo tak ta historia jest niezwykle komfortowa. Nie mam się do czego tutaj przyczepić, cudowny styl pisania, ciepły i szybki w czytaniu. Fabuła również, poruszająca ważne tematy, z którymi główni bohaterowie się zmagają, a z którymi można się utożsamić oraz z nutką miłość. Podobnie, jak tom pierwszy ta książka była skarbnicą cytatów, których nie mogę wyzbyć z mojej głowy. One po prostu się u mnie zakorzeniły i zostaną na zawsze. I don't see many people in the booktok/Bookstagram/booktube community reading his works. His writing is so simple and easy to get through yet lyrical and relatable. Especially young adults who are feeling lost in every aspect of their life should read his works. It's kinda comfortable to know that someone's going through the same stuff as you are and seeing them get through their struggles, it's hopeful that we readers as individuals will get through in our life as well. • Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe • Aristotle and Dante Dive into the Waters of the World Autor: Benjamin Alire Sáenz Před nějakým tím časem jsem četla tyhle dvě knížky. Obě vyprávějí o dvou klucích Arim a Dantem. Jsou kouzelné a krásně napsané, plné dialogů, velmi krátkých kapitol a mají lehkou angličtinu. Hlavní postavy mám moc ráda a jsou velmi dobře propracované. Sledovat vývoj Ariho bylo něco úžasného a na konci byl opravdu úplně jiný než na začátku. Je tam plno myšlenek, zážitků, přátelství, cesty za sebepoznáním a různých překážek v životě. Upřímně bych potřebovala mnohem více knížek na tenhle styl, protože oba díly Ariho a Danteho jsou jedny z mála, které si umím představit číst víckrát než jednou. Hello ! J'espère que vous allez bien :) Aujourd'hui je vous parle de Aristote et Dante découvrent les secrets de l'univers 🌌 L'histoire se passe à la fin des années 1980, dans la petite ville d'El Paso, au Texas. On y suit deux adolescents, Ari et Dante. Le premier n'arrive pas à accepter que personne ne parle de son frère, qui est en prison, et se referme sur lui même. Le second est un peu lunaire, et monsieur je-sais-tout sur les bords. On suit ainsi l'amitié qui se tisse entre eux, malgré leurs caractères opposés. Honnêtement je suis un peu mitigée. Pendant tout le début du livre, j'ai eu du mal avec le style d'écriture, qui rappelait un journal intime d'ado en colère contre le monde. Ce qui est le cas d'Ari, mais j'avoue que j'ai eu du mal à en faire abstraction, et ça m'a empêchée de rentrer totalement dans l'histoire. Mais au fil du récit, je me suis quand même laissée emporter par cette amitié qui les lie, et j'ai aimé suivre leur évolution et leur histoire. Il n'y a pas de longueurs et les événements s'enchaînent sans qu'on s'en rende compte. Une fois le livre fini, j'étais même triste de les quitter.. Ce n'étais pas un coup de cœur mais une lecture sympathique tout de même, et je pense que je lirai le tome 2 à l'occasion ! Et vous, l'avez vous lu ? What I've read so far this year. I read both in english and in swedish. A little life by Hanya Yanagihara I can't even begin to describe what I feel about this book. I finished it in January, and there hasn't been a day that I haven't thought about it. I loved it with all my heart, I have never cried so much reading as I did reading this book. I can't wait to reread it. To paradise by Hanya Yanagihara Beautiful, just beautifully written. It leaves you wanting more, wondering what actually happens at the end of each of the three parts. And I can't wait for what amazing adventure Yanagihara takes us on next. If we were villains by M L Rio I really thought it was pretentious at first, but WOW. It's so amazingly written, so intriguing and when I thought I had it figured out, Rio really surprised me. I can't wait for The graveyard shift! They both die at the end by Adam Silvera Let's be honest, I'm 30 and this book was clearly written for a younger audience. But I know that a younger me would have loved loved loved this book and for that reason I really enjoyed reading it. "O ódio é uma escolha, sim. O ódio é uma epidemia emocional para a qual nunca encontraremos cura. Escolham amar". Esta resenha não terá spoilers de nenhum dos dois livros! Segundo meu Skoob (que é religiosamente atualizado todos os dias), eu li "Aristóteles e Dante descobrem os segredos do universo" pela primeira vez em 2015. Ao longo de nove anos, reli este livro três vezes. Se tornou uma leitura de conforto, uma história para a qual eu sabia que poderia voltar e me sentir abraçada. Eis que o autor publicou uma continuação, e é claro que reli o primeiro livro em 2024 (pela quarta vez!), a fim de ter a história fresca na memória antes de ler o segundo livro. O segundo livro conseguiu ter tudo o que estava faltando no primeiro. Em "Aristóteles e Dante mergulham nas águas do mundo" nós temos: ▪️ Personagens muito mais bem desenvolvidas (e personagens novas super interessantes!). ▪️Um perceptível amadurecimentos dos protagonistas em todas as áreas da vida. ▪️Discussões mais aprofundadas de temas sérios, como homofobia, xenofobia, AIDS, violência contra pessoas trans, o horror da guerra e luto. Mesmo abordando todos os temas acima, a narrativa nunca perde sua delicadeza e leveza. É um livro gostoso de ler e emocionante, mas o autor nunca manipula o leitor emocionalmente. Enfim, recomendo demais a leitura desta duologia. “Aristotle e Dante scoprono i segreti dell'universo” (2023) by Aitch Alberto. Aristotle Mendoza è molto chiuso e non ha amici. Una mattina estiva incontra l'esuberante ed eccentrico Dante Quintana, col quale instaura un rapporto unico. Finalmente, dopo tanto tempo, son riuscita a trovare questo film che aspettavo da quanto ho finito i libri di Saenz. Dei due libri che raccontano la splendida storia di Ari e Dante ne ho parlato l'anno scorso, li trovate qui sotto. Parto col dire che il film è composto esattamente dalle scene che avevo immaginato leggendo. Tutto è identico a com'è descritto, dai personaggi agli interni delle case. Esteticamente è davvero ben fatto e anche la colonna sonora funziona, così come il montaggio. I dialoghi sono quelli del libro. Il lavoro di Pelayo e Gonzales è stato meticoloso. Hanno evidentemente compreso i loro personaggi e li hanno portati sullo schermo con molta naturalezza e la loro chimica è molto forte, come quella di Ari e Dante. A parer mio non erano proprio credibili nel ruolo di due quindicenni, perché si vede che hanno più di vent'anni, ma si può chiudere tranquillamente un occhio dato che son bravi e convincenti. La caratterizzazione di Ari mi ha un po' perplessa: nel libro è molto più complesso di così, e capisco che in 1h e 30 non si possano inserire 400 pagine di romanzo, ma la scena della macchina e del bacio non è conforme al personaggio di Ari, che infatti ha una reazione completamente diversa rispetto a quella che ha sulla carta e ciò lo modifica di molto agli occhi dello spettatore. Stessa cosa per Jaime, che come gli altri tre genitori ha poco spazio, e infatti tutta la parte del silenzio iniziale con Ari manca. Peccato poi non aver visto trasposte delle scene davvero carine come quella di Dante che fa la barba ad Ari, o quella del ritratto. Comunque, nonostante queste pignolerie il film è dolce come lo immaginavo e mi è davvero piaciuto. A student today said this was their favorite book ever…. When I asked “why?” they said it made them cry. Ari doesn’t have a lot of friends, until Dan offers to teach him to swim. A great friendship develops over the next couple of years. I love Dan’s family - they support and love Dan no matter what. The boys are in a terrible accident and that changes their relationship. Dan’s family moves and they boys write letters. Simple mais si poignant.. Je suis contente d'avoir pu lire le livre avant sa sortie cinématographique. C'est une petite pépite de littérature sur l'adolescence, l'amitié, les sentiments. Tout le long de l'histoire, j'ai eu le cœur serré malgré la légèreté de l'écriture. C'est si bien écrit que mes émotions se sont transposées aux pages de la vie de ce jeune de 15 ans. Cet âge est si beau et si naïf car on découvre tout de la vie (dont les secrets de l'univers, seul ou accompagné). Je n'ai plus cet âge et pourtant, j'ai réussi à la perfection à me l'imaginer. J'en ai pleuré mais de bonheur, de joie de vivre. Ce livre fait vivre ce que certains, dont moi, n'ont jamais vécu à l'âge d'Aristote et Dante. Je comprends pourquoi ce livre va être adapté : sa facilité, la désinvolture des dialogues, la beauté des actes... le livre entier est fait pour une adaptation. La relation de nos deux personnages est unique, belle et simple. Les sentiments et les peurs se mêlent. Leurs histoires personnelles se lient, débordent dans le temps et leurs familles sont les témoins oculaires de leur amitié fusionnelle.
